No help here, but I've been wondering the same thing about working out! I only had mine about a month and a half ago, and I only had a forty degree C curve so it really wasn't bad, and I feel so good now, other than that constant ache and the whole not really bending thing. holy run-on sentence. But, yeah no help... I really hope someone answers you though because I really want to know.
Yeah, i tried to find articles or blogs on it, but i didn't find much. I don't even notice my back these days, and the bending thing, you get used it very quickly. when i hit the one month mark i was still feeling a bit mehish. You only go uphill from there though :)Â
hiii! i had surgery last summer, june 27th. i go to the gym all the time now and can basically do whatever. i started going pretty much right after i hit my 6 month post op check up, when my doctor said i can start being active again. my check up was december 27th, and i got my gym membership around the middle of january. i hope this helps!
ahhh thats awesome! i can't wait to start getting active. thanks !Â
Dear people with spinal fusion
do you go to the gym, or work out? how long was it until you could start working out? and what can't you do now. I'm about 3 months into recovery so i'm still not aloud to do much, but just wondering > hit the ask box and tell me your stories!Â
Spine wave, hello!
wow yup I really think I’ll be making this scoliosis/spinal deformities blog.
The more I hear it’s “usually” not this, or it’s “usually” not that, the more I want to just be a loud voice that actually keeps it fucking real and tells people the truth about what they are about to face, since...
whilst i do agree with you, being negetive won't get you anywhere. Have you considered other options for dealing with the pain. Perhaps Yoga? Have you considered surgery?Â
this used to happen to me alot, and i was always slouching like a grandma without realising. worst thing ever :lÂ
1. Wear a green bracelet or ribbon around your wrist. Nobody would know what it means, so people who don’t know wouldn’t harass us. Tell anyone you know with scoliosis to do the same!
2. Send me pictures of your bracelet or your drawing of the scoliosis ribbon I just found. Hopefully I can make a...

Looking at your body in the mirror

AMEEEEEN. Or that it's because you were on the computer for too long.. shut up!!Â

I don't believe anybody that tells me that my scoliosis isn't that noticeable.
