It was Nodoka’s turn to summon new servants, which was always great since it meant she got to be the first person to greet whoever showed up. Also, the summon system reminded her of the gacha she used to play before she started working here, though she had, mostly, learned not treat it that way. The servants were actual people, not characters in a mobile game. So getting upset when she didn’t get the one she wanted would be rude and unfair to them. Not she had ever really been the kind of gacha gamer who got too worked up over such things putting certain incidents involving weakening 4th walls and crazy alternates aside.
She wasn’t really aiming for anyone specific this time, but the sparkles of the summon apparatus going gold caused her to perk up anyway. When Prince Lanling appeared, she grinned.
“Awesome! Another Saber! Hello Lanling, my name is Nodoka Kisaragi. Welcome to Chaldea!”
