wait everyone put in the tags where u were when u found out about the nationwide/global covid shutdown. i was eating a bag of chips on the roof of the remote building where i was leading a retreat and i had to help break the news to 50 high school students who didn’t have their phones

#believe it or not #i was at a griffon meet up #and one of the griff dads pulled up the news broadcast on his phone so we could all watch

the good news is erie was so well behaved for my dads funeral today, both at the cemetery and when everybody came back to our house

#so happy she was on her best behaviour so i didnt have to stress about her

the medium sized problem in my life right now is the new manager my boss hired. after one shift with her yesterday im considering leaving, especially after looking at the reviews for the last cafe she managed about how the way she talked to staff made customers so uncomfortable it put them off their food

she was trying to force connections with everyone too, it was so awkward and the regulars she interacted with were telling me and the current manager how much they didnt like it

#obviously not the worst problem #thats why it's my medium problem #she wants to change everything #and im like but this is the way its been done for 10 years #under the old owners who are very much beloved for their cafes #and as a local cafe its important to remember the customers #like why would i give a table number out to people i speak to every day #just because you dont know them #its embarrassing

i’m fairly certain one of my regular customers this month is actually a famous actor, but it’s hard to know for certain

#evidence: he looks similar his wife has the same name he has 2 kids #anti evidence: his insta says hes in the uk actor has 2 daughters this guy has one of each

i finally registered erie with dogsnz, this year is the year we finally do a scentwork trial

every time someones says "hey how are you" and i say "good" and forget to add the "how about you?" i feel like i've missed a quicktime event

#whats worse is saying how are you #and they say it a second after you #so you respond good and have to ask them again #happens 10 times a day

someone explain why i’ve been preparing for a mini poodle who refuses to eat dinner and now i have this mini poodle who happily eats her dinner with no fuss

her mum is just as confused as i am
