Day 17- Live Octopus
When traveling to a foreign country you already know you will have many new experiences via food, culture, etc. Tonight Terry and his family stepped up the game. For dinner they decided it would be fun for me to try live octopus. That in itself is quite an intimidating statement. What they do to prepare this is quite simple they cut off the tentacles and throw them in a bowl which you then eat raw. The kickers the best part the tentacles are still writhing around in the bowl as you eat them. Now as the self confident independent woman I am that wasn't going to stop me I was gonna eat this ish and like it but as I put the first one in my mouth hole I found out something the choi's forgot to mention. THE SUCTION CUPS ARE STILL ACTIVE!!! Now for obvious reasons I'm freaking out I got a mouth full of half dead sticky octopus and a laughing choi family staring at me. After a bit of a struggle and a long period of chewing I mange to swallow that bugger. I sat there with my eyes watering and said the only true thing I could say, "that's delicious!"
Here's what we ate today

Yeah pretty legit
Day 16- embracing my nerd
I am a nerd. And I don't mean I'm a nerd as in oh look at me I have a tshirt that says nerdy on it, cuz that's some bullshit. I mean I enjoy things that are off the beaten path of stuff considered "normal" or "manly" and enjoy things considered nerdy.(ex.manga, theatre, comics, Musicals, etc.) Today however, I found something that even with all my nerdy experience found strange at first. Terry decided that it would be fun to go to a PC room. Now for those of you who have a life a PC room is a large room where strange people come and play various computer games a pay by the hour. I did not know what to expect when we walked it , but let me tell you it was straight weird. The space expanded to a large holding chamber with mass amounts of Korean men (I use that men loosely) the room was ripe with virginity and smelt of a elementary school computer lab with only more of matrix like feel and to cap it off at the very front was a large counter where you could purchase meals to keep you going as you played. After my initial reaction of wow this is lame and dumb we sat down and had a pretty good time. I can honestly say I enjoyed it and would go back once again securing my perpetual virginity for years to come and making me nerdier beyond belief.
Day 15 - Seoul
After a lovely three and a half hour bus ride we've finally arrived in Seoul! This means many things. It means we are now at the final leg of our journey, that I finally have another fluent English speaker to talk to (his sister grace), and that Terry is finally home. I have been friends with him for four years. I have seen him through the good, the bad, and the extremely awkward but I have never seen him as happy as he was when we pulled into Seoul. Seeing him in his element is something different. I don't know what's going to happen with these next few days but until then all I can say is welcome home Terry.

Day 10- Tour Bus 2
I would like to thank any deity reading my blog for letting me fall asleep at 9:30 last night because Terry's crazy grandma woke us up at about 4:30 by banging around the kitchen getting ready to cook. We ate a very silent breakfast as I gave Terry one of the smelliest stink eyes imaginable. As we prepared to leave for another tour Terry glanced at the clock and muttered," We are leaving way to early the bus doesn't get there until ten." ......... Great .......... Here's a fun fact if you for some ungodly reason arrive at a bus station two hours early bring a pillow because THERE IS NOTHING TO DO!!!! We past time with a mixture of forced conversation, music, and a chapter or two of the first Harry Potter novel. I forgot to mention this was just the bus we were taking to get to the tour bus and the ride time to get there was about an hour and a half ride. Let's just ahead to the part where we got on the actual tour bus. I say this because me describing me sleeping for and hour would be rather dull and I'm not a wonderful writer anyway. So as I climb the stairs of the tour bus my expectations are low to say the least with the sliver lining of the day this far being that it wouldn't rain. We were given the itinerary in Korean of course cuz to hell with English, which consisted of three large locations on one island called 1. Some tropical forest national park area 2. A museum dedicated to general Yi sun-sin a Korean naval badass the beat the hell out of the Japanese and 3. A shrine/monument place which also had a small Buddhist temple on top. Even with my low expectations when we got out at the Forrest I was in a good mood I like nature. Just a forewarning, something that my friends know all too well is that I am a wee bit immature. In my opinion not to the point that it's intolerable but I do happen to enjoy inappropriately funny things. The tour group followed the trail littered with signs jutting in all directions and here is where my day went from good to great. Out of the corner of my eye I spot a sign on the path that we are going down that says clear as day in plain English ...... PENIS TREE....... I lost it. At that point all things faded away the people, the guide chattering in Korean, the world itself didn't matter at that point all that mattered was seeing that penis tree and let me tell you it did not disappoint. You may be wondering what would cause a human to name a tree after the male reproductive organ and that is if the middle portion of the tree looks like the tip of said organ. I left that park with a smile on my face as we headed to the museum. The museum was ok but the best part was the life sized replica of the boat the general use not even the boat itself really but what was inside. Inside the ship was two full uniforms of the soldiers that fought under the general and you can bet your sweet ass I was putting that shit on. However my dear friend always seeking self preservation via a clean cut wouldn't but after begging and a few strong words I got Terry into costume. I got the pics to prove it. After leaving the museum victorious we headed for the last stop involving an nice few mile hike to the top of a mountain. The view was very beautiful fog and all but what happened during our "free time" was even better. Anyone that has been to a foreign country can tell you that your digestive tract gets a bit messed up and I am no exception. So at the top of a mountain in Korea Terry and I both find a restroom to do the...... Number two. It was a nice bathroom for one being located at the top of a mountain near a shrine, but when Joey hit it with two weeks worth of Korean food bad things are bound to happen. Terry was in and out no problem, I however when I went to flush was not greeted with the toilets usual sound of hey I got this but the muffled whimper of a clogged toilet. It took me a second or two to realize what I had done. I then did what any person who had just defiled a temple would have done. I got Terry told him absolutely nothing about what happened and got the hell outta there. Now as I write this on a bus headed home I can honestly say it's been a damn good day.
