3ARTH | Today, marks the 50th anniversary of Earth Day. It is also @fashrev_can @fashrev Week! ⠀ ⠀ This photo was taken back in September at the @globalclimatestrike in Vancouver. It was so inspiring to see the amount of people shouting and showing up for change.⠀ ⠀ Fast forward to now, when the world and government leaders have implemented so much change so quickly to deal with this pandemic, we have proven that we can change extremely quickly to solve major global issues. Maybe I’m optimistic but this gives me hope for the future, for my future children’s future and their children’s future. ⠀ ⠀ Although climate change doesn’t work as quickly as a virus, we need to treat it like a pandemic because it’s already impacting so many and the end result is irreversible.⠀ ⠀ I don’t want to reinvent the wheel with what I think we should be doing so I encourage you to head over to @earthdayinitiative (if there’s one thing you do today) and watch @billnye’s Instagram Live.
