Sorry I haven't been very active on here! They girls are doing well. Sweet Pea has made a full recovery!
They also have an Instagram where we're a lot more active. It's also easier to post on IG since I use my phone for everything.

Back when Sweet Pea was still banished to her collar. She's nicely healed up now tho!!
(And she's a total daddy's girl 💛)
LOOK WHO'S ENJOYING SCRITCHES NOW!!
(But only if she's on her cage like this)
Some good scritch and a beaky 🥰
Miss Mo and I like to take bus rides together 🖤
The sign says it all!!
Enjoying the scenery on our outing ☀️

I apologize for not posting in so long!
I've been taking care of Sweet Pea and working a lot, so I haven't really had the time >.<
BUT I HAVE GOOD NEWS!! As of Friday, September 20th, Sweet Pea is done with her laser therapy!! She's on her antibiotics until Wednesday, and after that, we're free!!! No more vet visits!!!! :D (She still has to wear either her cone or neck thingy)
She's doing really well! She's got new feather growth, which I'm really happy about. And thanks to the girls at the local pet store, I got her something better than the cone.
The girls cut me a custom piece of foam to put around her neck so that she can maneuver better. She also seems to like it more than the cone.
Here she is telling me off bc of the cone, before we got the foam piece lol <3
Another Sweet Pea update!
Sweet Pea went back to the vet today bc even tho we thought she was in the clear, she started getting worse. So now, she has to wear the cone of shame, take antibiotics twice a day, and get cold laser therapy twice a week.
We're gonna try this for 2-4 weeks. If she doesn't improve, we'll start blood diagnostics.
PS: I know I shouldn't be laughing, but I can't help it 🤣 She hates me right now!
On the way to the vet with Sweet Pea now.
Let's hope it's just my paranoia and that she's fine
I usually don't do this kind of thing, but I am honesty so scared right now. I though we had this solved, but I guess we didn't. If you can't donate, please reblog!

Reblogging this again for PayPal and ko-fi info. As I said in my last post, Sweet Pea needs to be tested for pbfd (a highly contagious and fatal avian disease), which is $167. (Surprisingly, the Hawaiian Humane Society doesn't test their birds for anything and cages them all together...) And with her injury looking like it's potentially spreading when we thought she was all clear, she might need additional blood work and/or tests.
I just want my baby to be ok
Welp
It's currently 1:03am and I'm a worried mess again. I gave Sweet Pea a bath and now it looks like it's spread to her back. Probably gonna take her to the vet in the morning to have her checked up again. She also started screaming a lot again and preening the area really bad. The anxiety and paranoia in me is like "please gods I hope it's not pbfd", but I know that's probably irrational bc Miss Mo is perfectly fine. I just want her to get better and for me to stop stressing and draining my bank account tbh. She's worth it tho.
I'd love to get her tested for pbfd, but that test costs $167 and tbh I just can't afford that right now. Idk if the vet will reccomend any other blood work or maybe even a gram stain. I left my ko-fi and PayPal up in my other post tho. I hate asking, so I'll just say if you are able/want to help, I'd be very thankful. If not, it's ok!
Thanks to everyone who follows for putting up with my paranoia about her. I appreciate it!
Sweet Pea update!
We ended up going to the vet today, since I'm basically working the rest of the week. She got the all clear to stop taking her meds and to stop applying the cream! Vet says her skin looks 10x better and less irritated. She's also no longer screaming when she moves it, which is wonderful! All in all, she's gonna be just fine 💕
So now, no more vet visits unless it's an emergency (which hopefully won't happen)!
Best picture I could get of her wing without stressing her out too much.
The blood is from the feather she lost the other day. Feathers look a but messed up because this was after a small bath to clean the area. I promise it looks so much better than what it was!
We're still continuing her treatments, which consist of anti inflammatories/pain meds as needed, and a cream in the area at least twice a day.
She goes back to the vet on Thursday morning for a check up on it. I'll update more then.
I'm going to post a pic of Sweet Pea's wing tomorrow.
If bird injuries gross you out, or you don't want to see it, please block the tag "#Peas Wing". I'll be using this tag to post updates on her recovery, and I know not everyone wants to see that.
