Chapter Five Update Thoughts

They put in a young Jack and I am super happy about it. Also just gave Vil/Jack shippers more fuel haha

Deuce got his unique magic confirmed. Yay! A nice reflection of his style of running into things, and serves you right to get yours later Ace, be a better friend.

They gave sleepy a sleeping mask. I can’t lol

Also, we saw random students in scaled up versions of the dwarves clothes so we now know what royal sword students are supposed to wear *looks at Chenya*

We finally know Malleus’ real name! I may or may not have let out a small shout when he spoke at the end of the chapter and I loved everyone’s reactions haha

I had an easier time beating Vil than I did Jamil.  I have better cards than I did back then, but yeah, idk felt like he wasn’t as hard even factoring that in.

And on that note, I am ordering up a relaxing spa day for Vil.

Also, nice to have Vil be the one who can’t stand the image of himself after his failed poisoning attempt. Hope to see him work through some of that in Chapter 6.

Now excuse me, I’m off to look for a Zuko role for Vil. You can reach the end of the story a hero, I promise.

So let’s start this with, translating song lyrics is hard and I only kinda know what I’m doing so I am very open to suggestions/don’t take this as absolutely perfect. With that said, my stab at translating the VDC lyrics from 5-46.

He’s so cute 😭 I resisted buying bc I have rules to try to limit how much I spend but man if I had seen it in person before sales ended I’d have caved. Leona looks good too.

I saw Azul’s and Kalim’s nendroids as well but couldn’t take pictures of them since they’re not released officially yet. Azul’s isn’t as cute as Riddle’s but I like him plenty. Kalim’s was unpainted but I predict it’s going to be ridulously cute once it is.

They also had the scale figures out. There’s just something about Leona’s face that doesn’t work for me... maybe it’s the mouth? Idk. Azul’s unpainted figure was out as well - unreleased so no pics. I’m hoping they get the face right bc right now it looks really good ^^

I agree with you, something about Leonas 1/8 scale figure seems off. I first thought it was something about his pose, like he leans to much into it, but now I think it might actually be his face, like you said. Leona is my fave right next to Ruggie and Idia so I was gonna buy his figure but I'm not eager to pay over 200€ for a figure where some features bug me. Pre ordered his nendroid instead XD

Hope they'll announce Idias 1/8 scale figure soon. Also very intrigued by kalims nendroid now, hope it turns out to be super cute >w<

Yeah, I was surprised bc from the concept art I thought I might end up buying Leona’s figure despite my attempts to limit my collecting to Octa and Pom but something just didn’t translate right it seems. The nendroid is adorable though. I’m loving how much detail they are putting into them.

Random collection of thoughts on latest chapter five update with spoilers below.

Deuce yelling out his feelings made me jump haha but I’m glad he’s feeling better.

Deuce also said he only understood half of what Epel said so I’m not going to feel bad about being confused by his dialect. He did good though, getting it all out too.

Their ability to contrive ways to not reveal Malleus’s name is impressive. Predicting he’s not showing up at the competition for some reason bc that’d be the end of it, but would welcome being wrong. Loved these guys reactions though as they considered what student has horns on their head lol

The whole conversation with Jade was amusing. Especially him happily classifying what is effectively a hiking club as more of a research and photography club to avoid having to do the set up work required by the athletic clubs.

There wasn’t much indication of what kind of twist is coming and that has me very interested to see what pushes Vil over in the next update that I hope is much sooner than this one was 🙏

Sebek being half human is unexpected. Assume we’ll be digging into that more latter...

Developers, I get that some people might not do all chapters in a row but like, this wasn’t that long ago and was in the same update. I didn’t really need a flashback. How short do you think my memory is?

I like the designs on the dwarves. Very cute, A+

At our current pace... will we get a Royal Sword Academy Expansion two or three years from now 😂😂😂
