'Though thoroughly inscrutable London-based Celtic-jazz production duo twyaen may cower behind preposterous noms de plumes (they are, at least ostensibly, ‘head-sound-designer’ ThutDragon and ‘the equally skilled front-person, simply known as Moors Trekkah’) there’s a crystalline brilliance coursing right through début cut keep on waiting. Afro-pop tangles of post-Graceland guitar combine with randy saxophone refrains taken straight from ’90s daytime TV, and the result is a simplistic, if irresistible hunk of inspiratory seduction to suggest that, although their plans to plunder success from ’sort of folky songs’ were stymied by the irksome likes of Justin Vernon et al., they may yet find salvation in the ’atmospheric-tronica area’ in which they’re currently revelling.’
