Hi I'm New Here

Hi, I’m Bryce and I’m new here.

I’m looking for a place to explore my own thinking by connecting with others. I’m a recently minted PhD in Religious Studies from UNC. I had to pivot and take a tech job (long story). With that in mind, I’d love for this space to be a meditation on my research. I’m not sure, however, if others would be interested.

I’d also love to talk books, board games, music, and other deeply immersive topics. Sometimes I take pictures too. We’ll see!

44 year olds are not millennials. I don’t know who is making these timelines, but nobody born in 1981 thinks they’re millennials. We’re GenX my dude. We grew up with no internet.

I'm new here

Hi there! I'm Bryce. I love... well, I was going to say books and music. But, I think the answer is immersion. I love to be immersed. Yes, I love a good book, but it's the immersive quality of a good book that I really love. I'm the kind of person who, if someone asks "Do you want to go for a hike" I'd reply "sure, why not." But, if they asked "you wanna hike the Appalachian Trail," I'd say "hell yes, when can we leave. I'm in."
