Knuckles is giving the other a serious look, but there's a look of care behind it. If Silver needs to get something off his chest, than he was all ears. It was better to get whatever was frustrating him out.

Silver could almost feel the weight of Knuckles' words drop down onto his shoulders as his hands dropped off from his hips. Frankly, he had no intent to draw out the conversation. At first, he was doing his best to move the topic on, giving a swift "I'm all okay" and hoped to move on. But he had decided later to up and go. Yet the wording Knuckles had used felt like reassurance that he shouldn't. And maybe, a part of him thought Knuckles would understand him.
And so, despite himself. Despite what he thinks is best, he gave a sigh and dropped down to sit. His feet were planted firstly down on the ground as his quills lowered in defeat. Though his expression wasn't lost or hopeless, rather, he looked at him with softening eyes.
"...A part of me feels like all this is...Null." Then, a laugh. It rocked his soul - if he didn't laugh, he'd cry. He lifted a hand and flatted his four front quills, which bushes back up once he got to the tips. It was a nice feeling - like a slow pet. Or rather, an action to help ground him.
"I mean- not like I'll give up." Because giving up is never on the menu, "But time and time again...Things don't seem to fix the causations. If it's not one thing, it feels like another. My goal feels entirely unreachable. The future being so...Ugly...It feels inevitable."
Silver laid back, ensuring he hit his head on nothing. He'd rather not get hurt when he's unloading what he wants to say. That'd be laughable...Or just sad. His frown was very prominent, and although it wasn't there to begin with, a sadness crept in his eyes. Yet, he soon blinked a few times, looking at Knuckles.
"...Am I being dramatic? It's not my intent, but I feel like I'm being too dramatic. I'll tone it down, if I am."
