Summer Salvatore | 20 | Witch | FC: Jenna Ortega | Intro
Elena knew that helping out at the college was going to be a rough job but she'd failed to anticipate the amount of supplies the nurses office would need. Granted, she'd only planned to be there until they find a permanent nurse but alas, it was keeping her busy which these days was always appreciated. "Hey, can I help you with something? I'm still setting up but if you need something, I can see if I have it." She offered, stopping in the doorway as someone had peered in. @fallsstarters
Summer had been doing a little bit of exploring, wanting to get familiar with her surroundings. When she learned where the infirmary was, she decided to head there and check on her mother. Summer had peered into the room, wanting to see if her mother was there. "Hello, it's just me." She said as she walked into the room. "I only wanted to check in on you. And see a familiar face."
"So not exactly your idea to live on campus?" He asked curiously. He knew when he had been over roommates, he had been quick to look for an apartment off camplus. "But, i'm sure you will all do well, everyone is nervous about their new roommates."
"I was told I should try new experiences, get out of my comfort zone and make friends." She told him. "That's not going to happen though, I've never been a people's person." Summer shrugged her shoulders. "I apologize in advance if my roommates end up requesting to change dorms."
"Yeah I wasn't sure if I ever would either, but I couldn't imagine my life any differently now," she admitted, smiling at Summer. The young woman's serious attitude never bothered her. She had grown used to it over the years of watching Summer grow up from a distance, over the phone and through social media. "Might want to make yourself scarce when your parents are watching her then. She will con you into doing something with her."
"I can understand that. I just don't see myself being capable of loving someone to have children with." She said with a shrug of her shoulders. And she didn't mind that, she liked to be a loner, it had always been like that for her, even after she was adopted. She could see the love her parents had for each other, and she didn't see herself having that. Maybe she was too damaged. "I will keep that in mind. I highly doubt that, I think I might scare her. And I don't want her to cry."
"Yes, the roommates are manatory," he said with a chuckle. After all there wouldn't be enough for all the students if they didn't share. "Each room is set for two students, if you are living on campus. Do you have a probem with your roommate?" He asked, knowing that some vampire/witch combos or vampire/werewolf comboa were going to have to be managed.
Summer shook her head. "I don't, I haven't met my roommate yet." She explained to him, titling her head to the side. "I don't like people in general, I'm more of a loner, that's all. But I'll make due, I'll just try and keep to myself." If she didn't engage, if she stayed quiet in her corner, maybe her roommate would get that she liked to be alone and not bother her.
Luna had been the first to arrive in her new dorm room. It all felt surreal. She was a little nervous, but mostly excited to see what this college and town had in store for her. She had hung fairy lights and different colorful pictures on the side of the room she had decided to claim. First come first serve, right? She was putting the finishing touches on her bed when she heard the door open. She turned around to see another girl standing in the doorway. “Hi!” She greeted. “I’m Luna, you must be my roomie!” @txrtxrxdmuxsxdpt
Summer had tried to get a room for herself, but of course, that wasn't how things worked, it wasn't the college's policy, she had been told. With a frustrated sigh, she had left the office and headed towards the dorm room where she would be meeting her new roommates. Not only would she have to deal with one, she had to deal with two. Summer tried to keep a positive mindset, although that was nearly impossible. As she entered the dorm, she was almost immediately greeted by a young woman. "Hi." Summer greeted her, keeping a straight and emotionless expression, which she was known for. "It seems so. I'm Summer." She introduced herself to the other. "Which one is mine?" She asked, motioning towards the two beds that were still empty.
"Is there something you need?" He asked when she said it would be useless to go there now. "The girls at reception are dealing with checking in and room applications, as well as any timetable problems."
Summer shrugged her shoulders. "Just wondering if roommates are mandatory or if I can have a room for myself. I don't like people." She said to the other, looking down at the papers in her hands. She had been assigned a room already, along with a roommate that she was dreading to meet.
"Sorry but stains are now a part of every article of clothing I have. Everyone forgot to mention when you had a toddler, they will make you their canvas constantly." At this point, it was pointless to even say no to her. Somehow it still ended up everywhere. "Pretty sure this one was her attempt at doing the ketchup herself or trying to paint an apple." @fallsstarters
Summer titled her head to the side. "And that is just another reason to add to the long list of reasons why I will never have a child." She said as she shook her head. "Remind me to never offer to babysit." Summer said playfully although she kept her usual serious and emotionless expression.
It felt like Jazz had been going in circles for the past twenty minutes. She didn't think it would have been possible to get so turned around in such a small town. Especially since she had come from Phoenix. The thought of getting lost caused her heart to beat a little faster. Closing her eyes for a brief moment, she instead tried to push her anxiety down and let out a laugh. "Well, it's official, somehow I ended up lost. Way to go, Jazz." She muttered to herself before glancing around to see if she could figure out her way to the college or at least something to eat. @fallsstarters
Summer should just keep walking, it wasn't her problem anyways. It had never been in her nature, to get in people's business. But the other seemed to be genuinely confused and lost and well, Summer would've hated to see the news the next day and see she ended up dead somewhere. "Where are you trying to go?" She asked as she walked up to her, looking down at the ground.
"The check in office is down the hall," Declan said, as he ended up the hallway in the college, passing unsure faces. "Though the dean is not there at the moment," he said, given he was the dean and he was heading out for a coffee. @fallsstarters
Summer looked at the other before nodding her head. "So it's useless to go there right now then, good to know." She shrugged her shoulders, it wasn't like she minded, she would just get this over with some time later.
wait, is that jenna ortega? no, that’s just summer salvatore, a 20/20-year-old, cis woman, witch. i heard she is one of the survivors. but what i think you really need to know is she's here to attend the Mystic Falls college.
"I'm gonna need to find a new doctor around here but other than that, everything is somewhat good." She shrugged. "I'm glad Hope's here. She might be able to find out more information to help everyone. But I agree, it's all very confusing. And kind of scary."
"I'll help you look, I'm sure we can find a good one here too." He said to her with a nod of his head. "I trust that she'll be able to find something. There's a lot of people working on trying to figure this out, it will be okay." He said. "I know, it's scary but I won't let anything happen to you. Or the baby."
Abby also wanted to do some exploring while they were in the city. At this point, who knew how long they'd be there? New Orleans was always a place she'd wanted to visit. Might as well enjoy it. "What kind of things do you think they have in there that are centuries old? The stories I've heard about this city alone is incredible."
Summer shrugged her shoulders as she looked through the things on display through the window. "I have no idea but by the looks of it, there's probably a lot of them." She said, titling her head to the side. "There's a lot to do and see, and not enough time unfortunately."
"I'd say New Orleans has some cool spots to check out but these little stores always seem to have the best gems hidden inside." She added, looking into the window that Summer was looking at. "And we'll figure out the curse thing. I wouldn't worry about it too much." Easier said than done, she knew that but it was the best she could do right now.
"I've read books about the city, I want to check out the most famous places but I was curious to see these stores as well, mostly the ones focused on witchcraft." She said, turning her head to look at Hayley. "I'm not, I've accepted that one day I'll die and that's okay. I did not think I would be this young though." She said, titling her head to the side. "Kind of hoped for a few more years, but it is what it is."
❝ First time visiting New Orleans ? ❞ Maybe she wasn't talking to anyone in particular. He answered anyway. Couldn't help to hear what was said. Make the most of it sounded good. He shall as well, hopefully doesn't meet any enemies from the past. Not that he had very many. Unsure of if the hybrid who turned him would get angry if he met him. The years had passed by, he didn't remember much of it ❝ Perhaps we all shall. Witchcraft store, huh ? Do they sell only items for witches, you think ? ❞
Summer nodded her head, having been aware of the other's presence near her. She had a tendency of speaking to herself, since she was a young girl but she didn't mind that the other had answered. "Yes actually. I had never left my hometown before." She had been locked inside the time pocket the entire time, Mystic Falls was all she knew. "I don't know, but it seems like they're mostly focused on it. Might have other things though."
"Yeah, well... I don't know about anyone else but I think the focus should be for us to find a way to slow it down," she said. Maybe that's what her father was doing right now, was that why he wasn't there? All she did know was that was something that should be in her power even if she had no idea how to do it. "Lets just try and find the other."
"I guess that's true." She didn't know how they would be able to do it, but she guessed if there was someone who could figure it out, it was her dad. He had done it before after all. "That and probably starting to look for places to stay as well."
She sat on a bench and tried to piece together what she knew: she had been told that this was New Orleans; she knew that since this wasn't Mystic Falls she was outside of the time pocket. There. That summed it all up - everything that Kady was certain of. She still hadn't changed out of her pajamas. She supposed she was going to be needing some new clothes now. And a place to go. She knew that some people were back from the time pocket, but she didn't know if that meant everyone. Maybe she should try finding her mom. Or… if she was outside of the time pocket, her dad could be somewhere. Was she even ready for a meeting like that? “Someone has to know what's going on here,” she mummbled to herself.

Baldur titled his head to the side when he saw the other, noticing that she seemed to be both lost and confused. There seemed to be a lot of people in that situation, like they had just woken up here. "Hey, are you okay? Do you need help?" It wouldn't hurt to ask or offer to help, after all, he knew his father would've done the same thing. "I'm new here as well but I can try to help."
