No NSFW imagery; NSFW text spoilered!
I take posts in which some key phrase is in trochaic tetrameter (and therefore has the same beats as the "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" theme) and make the phrase into a TMNT logo using http://glench.com/tmnt/. Thanks to Glen Chiacchieri for that generator and to my high school creative writing teacher for making my brain do this always and forever.
How To Make Cool TMNT Logos So You Can Be Cool Like Me
So you sent me a phrase to TMNT-ify like a month ago and I never got around to it. Maybe it didn't scan quite right. Maybe I just didn't get it. Maybe the executive dysfunction gremlins are at it again. But don't despair! Here's how to TMNT-ify any phrase you want!
Four-word phrases
Go to this link (which is in my bio as well) and type your text into the box. (This site isn't secure, so don't put any sensitive info into it! Not sure why you would, but regardless, don't.) If your phrase is exactly four words, you're done! Just use your device's screenshot tool and crop as necessary.
Not enough words
So your phrase is less than four words long and the generator won't put the last word in the green text. No worries! The thing is, this generator doesn't actually count words. It counts spaces. If there are three spaces in your text, the generator will assume you have four words. Just add a space to the beginning of your text, and you're done!
Too many words
So your phrase is longer than four words and now the green text is too long. Again, no worries! Remember, the generator doesn't actually count words, it counts spaces. There are some non-space characters it'll treat like a space, such as hyphens, but some that it won't. I use the apostrophe!
Better! But now we've got some unnecessary apostrophes. Luckily, pretty much every device comes with a free image editing tool that includes an eyedropper...
... and a fill tool!
(If your device doesn't have such an app, you can almost certainly download one for free.)
So we just take our eyedropper and select the red of the upper bar...
(As you can see in the bottom-right, I've actually saved this color as a custom color, so I don't have to do this every time.)
...and then we use the fill tool to fill in the apostrophes! Done!
Miscellaneous tips
If you're having trouble with the sizing of the letters, make sure it's all lowercase.
Some characters (such as letters with accents) work in the top bar, but not in the green text. Others (such as emoji) don't work at all.
Hope this helps! Please let me know if you have any questions; I really wanna help this meme grow!
something something extremely sexy when magic users resort to physical violence. yeah i have the power of god and anime on my side but i also have THESE HANDS. i cast Punch You In The Face. i take my magic staff through which i channel the vast energies of the elements and the cosmos and i cast Severe Concussion And Skull Fracture. casting time for xenoglossy too long, chose the quicker route of Stab You In The Throat.
Kanto: this path is blocked by a giant sleeping snorlax. you cannot wake up the snorlax except with the use of a very specific tool (which you obtained by fighting your way through a tower full of ghosts). and even after snorlax wakes up you have to either defeat it in battle and/or catch it before you can get through
Galar: could I wake these wooloo? physically, yes, probably wouldn’t be much of a challenge. but emotionally? imagine the toll
the desire to pretend white women are simply always victims and groomed into fascist movements instead of being willing participants is by design, u have been taught ur entire life that white women are dainty angels that have to be lead and protected and no harm they do is fault of their own, thats why u think literal nazi women are just confused harmless babies, it’s designed that way on purpose
I thought about just tagging this 'nuff said, but it's not.
I want to say something to all of the women under 50 on this site. Ready?
You do not have to be over 50 to start taking up space.
Can I make that blink? Is that a thing Tumblr can do? Because, seriously. The sooner you believe you are allowed to take up space, the better life will be.
there are bunnies in your computer that do all the multiplication. if your computer is running slow you can open it up and help the bunnies practice their times tables. don't forget to reward them with some lettuce!
all yall make jokes about couples and their nonromantic third wheel having fun together, but im the one getting treated to food tonight by the couple im nonromantically third wheeling. you wish you were me
I'm sorry I read this as "necromantic third wheel" and went on a very rapid powerful imagination adventure. hello lovebirds I'm the skeleton here for breadsticks
the concept and idea of “you can always start trying to be a better person” is extremely important to me both in media and irl and i continue to be deeply deeply disturbed by the trend on this site pushing that these ideas in media are bad writing or even morally reprehensible
because theyd rather someone stay terrible or just straight up die than become a better person
from a compassionate point of view it’s deeply distressing
and from a pragmatic point of view it’s outright frustrating
I think part of the pushback about this is the idea that, to “redeem” bad people, their victims must first forgive them for unforgivable acts.
This is false. No one is obligated to forgive you. You can learn from your mistakes and become the best, kindest person on earth, and the people you’ve hurt still won’t forgive you, and you’ll have to accept that. And that doesn’t mean you aren’t allowed to grow. Because we aren’t just “pure” or “sinful”, we’re complex.
