I plan to use this page to place links that will help with my solar education. Just having knowledge of basic electricity is only the beginning of what I need to know if my plans of entering the solar industry. As I find, and research the things I need to know as I build my solar work-shop, I will add links to this post. I am open to any suggestions, and appreciate all the help and friendly criticism for the purpose of gaining education. If you look close enough, you’ll see that the majority of my building projects are build with re-claimed material. This helps with the expense, and makes my projects Eco-friendly. What is Wind Energy anyway? Wind energy has been used for centuries to pump water and grinding. The industrial breakthrough for the generation of electricity, came in the 1980s. While we were in Missouri for the Thanksgiving Holiday, I got to visit Missouri Wind and Solar to see their Store at: 332 Cobble Stone Drive Seymour, MO.

Why go solar? Because solar energy is clean and renewable. A solar electric system can not only lowers the cost of your electricity bills, but it also reduces the negative impact on the environment. Photovoltaic (PV) modules have no moving or wearing parts, and require no maintenance other than an occasional cleaning. What are photovoltaics? Photovoltaic technology (PV) uses solar cells to convert sunlight directly into electricity. PV modules consist of semiconducting material that absorbs sunlight in a way that frees electrons from atoms. Electricity is produced as the electrons flow through the semiconducting material. A group of PV modules are typically combined in an array to generate electricity for a single structure. Large numbers can be combined to form a power plant.

What is renewable energy? This seems to be a hot subject whit prices continually increasing for energy. Renewable energy has everyone concerned about the initial cost, and may get more attention if we thought of it as stock. Then the attention would shift to the stock price, or share price value.
