hello my dude, I’ve been thinking ‘bout this idea for a while, but I need a second opinion. should i start a tøp blog?? idk how active u are in the clique on other platforms, but where do you think is the best place to start an account? thanks, fren. 💕💕
hello!! i’ve been the most active of clique memebers and also i’ve disappeared at times. i’ve been in the clique about five years now and i started here on tumblr but since then i’ve made a tøp twitter and even for a while an ig.
so first of all, here’s the tea:
- ig clique is just straight up cringy af... like i’m pretty sure this is just wildly known and accepted amongst the clique.
- twitter clique (at least rn) is kind of divided between “big clikkies” (i hate that term but yeah) and those who are kind of resentful towards these “big clikkies”. my impression has been, obv not everyone but a lot, of snootiness amoung the “big clikkies” and most of those who oppose them are usually really young and cringy (again not all)
-tumblr clique is kind of dying. we used to doninate but now it’s more twitter because that’s what the boys like to use. overall i’d say tumblr clique is more like artsy, gey clique. as you would expect from tumblr. some younger blogs but a lot more in their 20s.
now that we got the bad things out of the way here’s why each could be a fit for you:
ig: you’re young and just want to get into tøp more. that’s literally it tbh. most of the pics are low quality edits and stolen art/tweets/videos etc. but i could see how it’s a more gentle ease into the clique.
twitter: you share and voice opinions w fellow clique members that are sparatic, not fully organized and planned out all the time nessicarily. this is a good place to make clique friends in my opinion. easier to connect in a way. a little more humanized??
tumblr: you like sharing clique art/theories/jokes etc that are mostly well organized and artsy, though you still get a conversational aspect. i don’t feel like i connect with mutuals as much here though so there’s that but it could just be me.
no matter what you choose, just make sure you stay true to yourself and don’t let problematic clique reach you (because tbh there’s a problematic clique circle on all platforms.
ALSO!! i’ve never used discord or reddit but i know discord clique and reddit clique are the theory-pit clique factions (tumblr can be too though). discord is kind of like one of those cork boards you see in coffee shops with fliers in my mind. but the seem to connect quite a bit. i’d suggest looking into those more if none of the ones i described sound like a fit.
none of it is “fact” persay, just some words of advice from someone who’s seen a quite a bit of it’s opinion... but either way i hope it helped!! i tried to be honest and kind of point out the good and bad of each.
