To Tyler:
Juliet: funny, I've been thinking about you too
Juliet: wanna come over for a bit?
Juliet: or I can meet ya somewhere?
Tyler: SO you're saying I get to see your place now?
Tyler: I'm game, text me the address?

silasatwater:
Silas leans over to take a look at Tylerâs phone, blue eyes lifting as he compares the two. âDefinitely not crazy,â he tilts his head, nodding as he decides the two looked alike. âItâs hard to say. Iâve heard some women use the whole ring thing as a tactic when theyâre in a bar, but who knows⌠if sheâs in Tinder, maybe not?âÂ
âWait, are you serious?â Tyler said, his eyes narrowing as Silas mentioned sometimes women actually played the taken married woman for fun, either to ward off guys or attract the ones who liked a challenge. Either way, Tyler thought it was kind of gross. âAs soon as I think I understand women, BAM, they suddenly confuse me all over again,â he said, bringing his beer bottle to his lips with a low chuckle.
aelish-moore:
Aelish looked from the picture on the guyâs phone to the woman across the bar. Looking carefully at the phone again she nodded in agreement. There was no denying that the woman in the bar did look like the one in the picture. âThey are very similar. Hopefully it isnât the same woman though since if she is I donât think sheâs a very faithful wife. Not if sheâs on Tinder. You think the guy sheâs with her husband?â
âShit,â he uttered under his breath as the brunette seemed to agree that it was definitely the same girl. She had a feeling he wouldnât be recognized, got the feeling she wasnât really interested from the start, but now it partially made sense...if the man she was playing pool with was her husband. âEven if it was her husband,â he started, stashing his phone back in his pocket so at not to dwell on it, or back back through the flirtatious messages, âShe was still on Tinder right...and not just, for fun. Or so it seemed to me,â he said with a shoulder shrug.Â
To Tyler:
Juliet: hey there handsome
Juliet: how are you?
Juliet: been awhile.. just wanted to check in?
Tyler: Hey lil' red...
Tyler: Sorry I've been MIA
Tyler: Work, and life. I've been thinking about you...
cecilyhanover:
Cecily got confused at what he was talking about, until she looked at the Tinder app on his phone to the girl, then looked up to see the brunette playing pool with other man, flirting with him. Her eyes went to the ring and nodded. âMarried,â she answered instantly. âMarried and cheating on whatever husband sheâs cheating on, definitely.â
âDamn,â Tyler said under his breath, as he eyed the woman once more, the word coming out a bit angry. âSo Iâm not crazy? Thatâs good at least,â he said with a partial chuckle, however only slightly. He had clearly dodged a bullet with the woman, but it still almost pissed him off to see her flirting with another man, going against all of his personal thoughts about marriage. âThink I should say something-no, no definitely not right?â he asked, turning back towards the blonde who seemed to also think the brunette was cheating, or at least flirting with the man playing pool.
âOkay am I going crazy,â Tyler said, opening up the Tinder app on his phone, scrolling through some of his matches before settling on a girl he had messaged back and forth with a few times before she denied him, âOr does that girl...â he said, gesturing across the bar to a brunette that was playing pool with another man, clearly flirting with him if you didnât look closer, where a small wedding ring sat on her finger, â...look exactly like this chick,â he said, flashing the phone to the person standing near him. âWhatâs the deal, do you think sheâs married, or not?â
talanzaretti:
Hearing that the voice turned out to be a rather familiar one, Talan spun a bit more only to see the newfound company heâd made on New Yearâs. âThatâs me, whatâs up, man?â He held a first out for a bump from Tyler in return. âI meant to hit up to hang, but kind got a little caught up. Found âem walking around the street the other day.â Talan grinned, motioning at the small yellow animal he remained carefully holding.  âI knew you and I had great minds that thought alike.â He laughed at Tylerâs joking remarks and support of keeping the baby chick. âHow could anyone resist him?â Itâs justâŚI donât know either. And I feel like shit just going to cage it up in my place, ya know?â Talan sighed.Â
Tyler gave Talan, his newly made friend, and easy fist bump as he offered out his hand. The small yellow duck in his hand didnât seem to be bothered at the gesture, happy to be held. âNo worries, I get it,â he said, shaking off his comment about not asking to chill together. âWork has been pretty crazy after the New Year, you wouldnât imagine how many new people I have wanting to try something new and exciting in the New Year,â he said with a chuckle. His eyes focused back from the duck to Talan. âI know a vet office not far from here, could pop in and see what they think is best. Iâve heard Mom ducks donât take babies back in to the wild after theyâve been with humans though. Could be something I just read on the internet that isnât true though,â he said with a shrug.Â
juliet-lovett:
She grinned at his initial remark, not entirely sure where this giddiness was coming from but willing to roll with it, to bask in it for at least the remaining hours of the morning holed up in his apartment - before the day went on and real life continued on, whisking her away along with it, remaining with a mess of feelings and second guesses and the fear that she wasnât quite whole enough to hand her heart off. âA work in progress sounds good to me,â Juliet replied softly, standing from her side of the table to venture over to his vicinity, perching her small frame in his lap and brushing her fingers through his disheveled dark locks. âThank you for the breakfast,â she whispered, crinkling her nose with a grin. âYouâre far from terrible, Tyler Carillo. I promise you that.â
Tyler let out a breath of air, suddenly realizing that he had been nervous to hear Julietâs reply about them essentially just kind of rolling with the punches and seeing where things went. He knew for some women that might mean a slap and a hasty exit, but obviously, Juliet wasnât like most women. It was why he was drawn to her in the first place. As she sauntered over to him, climbing into his lap as he easily assisted, her, hoisting her so that she was comfortable in a half sitting position another wide grin formed on his face. It widened even more-so as she brushed the hair out of his face, a feeling he hadnât experienced in a long while. âIâm glad you think so,â he said, his voice now hushes as she had whispered the compliment. It was then that Tyler leaned in, pressing his hand into her hair towards the back of her neck to pull her into a sweet kiss. âHave I told you how much I like your lips,â he said, breaking off the kiss quickly, before he was tempted to turn it in to more.
Standing outside the vet office, Talan held the baby chick between his hands, gently patting itâs head. He and his roommate had spotted the small animal nearly walking itself right in the middle of the street the other day when they both swooped in and saved it from any oncoming car. It was New Orleans, this was far from the weirdest thing that would happen on the daily. Heâd been told the best thing to do would be to free it somewhere, but Talan and Asher had actually found themselves attached to it. âHey, can I ask you something? What you do if you wanted to keep this little guy?â He asked the person whoâd seemingly approached closer, revealing the animal he was cradling.
âWell, well if it isnât prank guy, Talan right?â Tyler said, slapping the man on the back as he recognized from down the street. It wasnât often you ran in to a familiar face in New Orleans, so when you did you had to say hello. It was then that Tyler noticed a small yellow fluff sitting in his palm, a baby chick that appeared to be perfectly content there. âMan, if I were you,â Tyler started, stroking his chin as he pondered about the question, âIâd keep it. Chicks dig pets...I almost said chicks dig chicks but you know I figured that was too cheesy. That thing is a walking, quaking, babe magnet. But, I donât know the first thing about how to take care of one,â he added with a shrug.
I'm probably a sore sight whenever you see me.
I wish youâd open ago about your past.
Iâm scared youâll end up hurting me.
I am so attracted to you
I feel like you hate me, that you regret our friendship, that you're embarrassed.
I wonder if our friendship will ever be the same.
I'm so incredibly jealous of you.
Send me a confession and I'll publish it without answering.
