Sometimes I think about this time at my ex workplace where two guys came in ordering ice cream, and I was helping them at the register as one does. I had asked them if they were together or separate. Because it's normal to pay for someone else's ice cream or to pay for ur own... One immediately said no and one immediately said yes a few seconds later. I think about how closested the poor guy who said no immediately was cuz it was too fast for him to not have thought about it before. I wonder if they ever had a conversation about that. Or maybe it was a date and the guy who said yes and was paying was dumbfounded at the guy who said no's reaction. There is no telling. They were both like. 30 and with beards.
