Stole this from somewhere but i think it’s appropriate
For the hundredth time, TAG YOUR MPREG POSTS!!!!!!
Its really strange to me how people dont actually recognize what is anti-transmasculinity in media because its so normalized
Similar to how some people see the joke of "man in dress" as ""good"" transfem rep (despite it being a transmisogynistic characture)
People got so used to the idea of "man pregnant" that they dont even see it as an insult to trans men anymore. They just see it as ""fiction."" Where its not even seen as a parody anymore
This type of thing has existed forever, btw. One of the earliest examples in film alone is the movie "junior" in 1994.
I remember watching that one episode of the fairly odd parents and feeling deeply uncomfortable, even as a kid, because it was taken in such a "WOW lookee, isnt this STRANGE?? and FUNNY?"
Back then, sometime during the 2012s, I remember seeing an article about a trans man that got pregnant and it was nothing but harassment. Calling him disgusting. Insisting this was "fiction made real" and so on. Put a pit in my stomach even then. And its one of the many reasons that shoved me back in the closet for so long.
Yet, rather than see that as a jab at trans men, its just seen as a fictional premise that has no correlation.
Or the ""tom boy"" girl who has to be feminized by the end of the film In order to be accepted. Theres countless of these. So much so as the term "tom boy" is seen as neutral and endearing when it has been used to deny masculinity to trans men before. (Happened to me!) This isnt to say the term cant be used in a neutral way, but theres very little recognition towards this term being used in a harmful way, similar to how "femboy" can be used.
I cant tell if its sheer denial of these things, ignorance, or just fetishization.
Just saw someone say that half the appeal of omegaverse was watching a man go through the same thing as what women do every day. As if trans men don't exist and go through like all of it every day all the time.....
the omegaverse shit is basically just fetishizing the idea and aesthetics of trans men while being exclusionary and hateful to trans men who actually experience this shit irl. mpreg and omegaverse shit can be fun and ethical kink wise but we need to center trans men in this discussion as the people primarily affected by both the fetishization of male pregnancy/men who can get pregnant, and forced pregnancy in general
It really pisses me off how the pregnant man emoji is being used as a reaction emoji like the skull or crying face emoji.
So, you think that men with uteruses are funny? You think trans men with uteruses and intersex men with uteruses are a fucking joke? Something absurd, shocking, amusing?
Get a grip.
>finds a fic that looks cool
>mc is/is dating a trans man
>gets excited and starts to read
>the only reason the character is a trans man is so that later in the fic they can have PIV sex and mpreg
>the author clearly is just fetishizing the idea of "man with pussy"
>sighs
New 5 minutes of hate dropped: tr*ns"feminists" are trying to turn this guy into a lolcow for having based back tattoo because even the sight of an anatomical drawing of a uterus makes them feel like they are being personally challenged. meanwhile looks like this dude is staying fit, looks really happy, and has a ton of other possibly inadvisable tattoos that seem to reflect a sense of humor. not to mention he actually touches grass. people will try to convince you this whole wave of anti-ftm hate isn't gamergate 2.0, and they're leveling their sights at happy, beautiful trans dudes who aren't living in shame and secrecy for having been born with a uterus. đź–•go outside and lift weights
I shouldn't have to dig through the middle of the earth to find trans people that don't hate trans men with a fucking passion but SURE there isn't a problem and I'm just making it up. Ok I don't even care anymore. Why do I have to SEARCH for these people? Why isn't it the NORM? Why are other trans people so determined to shut down any discussion about what trans men go through? Why are we being forcibly erased by our own community? It's not just infighting if it's this fucking severe
Every time I come across some horrific transandrophobic (Usually intersexist too) post, I can't help but think about the fact that behind that post is a real live person who holds those beleifs. A real live person who is in queer spaces, around real life trans mascs (and intersex people). How they could be genuinely a danger to the trans mascs they encounter irl. That if a trans masc is in a dangersous situation and needs help, that poster would not be safe for them to go to. That poster may even be the one causing the dangerous situation.
Those posts aren't just words online, a real living, brething person wrote them out and posted them sincerily. Those posts are proof that queer spaces are not safe for trans mascs, because those people are in them, and you have no way of knowing which normal looking person at the pride event is the one that made those horrible posts until it's too late.
There are two types of people that hear "toxic masculinity" and interpret it as masculinity being inherently bad and toxic
Conservatives making bad faith arguments
"Progressives" that think bashing marginalized men and mascs helps abolish the patriarchy
Bioessentialism will have people saying stuff like "all amabs are dangerous and violent, and all afabs are incapable of harm and pure" and gender essentialism will have people saying "all trans feminine people and trans women are incapable of harm and pure, and all trans masculine people and trans men are dangerous and violent"
And I keep seeing them used as reactions to each other. You get away from one and fall into the other.
"hey, before you interact, tell me what category of humans you think are inherently evil and disgusting and that we should exterminate to live all peacefully and safely? :)" <- this is how it sounds.
I am not joking when I say the death of nuance is the death of us.
#(cups hands) and also its racist as all fuck#bioessentialism is inextricable from racism#'there is an inherently violent and dangerous type of human' dovetails real neatly into 'black and brown people are dangerous savages'#to which trans poc are especially vulnerable

Currently too tired to add alt text but I did want to say:
You are so right prev. Especially I wanted to point out how the last point has been used by terfs towards trans women as well.
"you want to be women so you cant be held accountable for your misogyny/male privilege" is the direct other side of the coin to "you want to be men so you escape misogyny and be treated better than women".
You cant tie gender to morality.

“They have sued organizations into the ground.”
already seeing people throwing around the term "birthday boy" and being transmedicalist about it.
literally why does anyone give a fuck about this guys tattoo????????
like this is genuinely fucking embarrassing for Y'ALL. if the fact that trans men have uteri and will talk about it and have feelings about it is this goddamn upsetting, go work on that yourself. i need y'all to reflect on why you love hallucinating the worst possible intentions when it comes to anything and everything a trans man does. this is so extremely a non-issue y'all just want to be an issue because the idea of trans men doing anything but quietly pretending to be cis men with extra steps triggers your internalized anti-transmasculinity.
not a single trans person on EARTH needs ANYONE'S permission to feel any kind of way about their sexed traits. not trans women or nonbinary with their penises, not trans men or nonbinary with uteruses, nobody. "its bioessentialist" TO HAVE?????? AN ORGAN YOU WERE BORN WITH AND WHICH IS HIGHLY STIGMATIZED AND SO HAVE FEELINGS ABOUT IT YOU EXPRESS THROUGH ART??????????????????? oh cry me a goddamn river. you know what you are soooo right let's ban every trans man from ever talking about having a uterus or abortion or pregnancy, because its kind of bioessentialist and transmisogynistic to talk about the highly stigmatized body you have!!!!!!!!!
to quote a person in the notes' very shitty defense of why this tattoo is "bioessentialist":
The replies on this post are absolutely full of trans men defending the bioessentialist back tat. Because it’s been buried in sealioning and mansplaining, I’ll say it again: if a trans woman got a tattoo like this depicting any of her cagab’s reproductive organs, she’d be put on a sex offender registry (or perhaps a kiwifarms thread). You people KNOW this tattoo looks terfy. It’s impossible to ignore. And that’s why you need to tie yourselves in knots to pretend it isn’t.
that a trans woman would get shit on for having a tattoo of her genitals (which i would also defend btw. i think trans women should Also be allowed to have art about their sex traits on their body, i don't think art of penises should be seen as inherently evil or disgusting) is irrelevant to why this tattoo is supposedly so bad. "trans women couldn't do this!!!" okay? that's unfair but it is, i cannot express this enough, not this guy's fucking problem.
i am Positive that there are cis people who would also freak the fuck out about this and bitch and moan and make a big transphobic stink about it, too. i don't know if you guys have noticed, but anytime a company dares to put top surgery scars on any kind of advertising, people have a meltdown over "celebrating the mutilation of young girls." transphobes are not normal about trans men either!
"people KNOW this tattoo looks terfy" i think ceding the grounds of ANY art made of one of the most stigmatized and controlled organs in a human body to TERFs is fucking stupid and misogynistic! & i also know if a cis woman did this y'all would not care even half as much, because you are all just swept up in the queer community's most recent Crabs In A Bucket discourse and you jump at ANY chance to paint trans men as evil transmisogynists rubbing their uteri in poor trans women's faces by virtue of. checks notes. talking about having their ability to have an abortion legally denied which can in fact kill people.
i do not know how to tell you people this any clearer
it is not bioessentialism for trans men to have uteri and talk about having a uterus and make art about having a uterus. you are just projecting bioessentialism onto trans men because you have deeply ingrained anti-transmasculinity and the present discourse has worsened it immensely. it is not bioessentialist to have an extremely stigmatized organ used by patriarchy to control people and to talk about that sometimes or make art of that sometimes.
The Tattoo Post™️ is so revealing of the current state of trans discourse online. Really it’s quite a fascinating case study. Right from the jump we have the weirdly paternalistic framing that trans men should run tattoo ideas by their friends, insinuating that trans men innately have poor judgment. By singling out trans men as a demographic rather than just advising people get feedback on their tattoo ideas or stating that they think the tattoo in question is bad, OP implies that it is trans men specifically and no other demographic that deserve to be held to this level of scrutiny. And even if you stripped the weird gender wars bullshit away from the whole thing, there remains the fact that putting a stranger on blast over an innocuous tattoo is deeply weird and uhhh bullying? Just straight up middle school bully behavior? What the hell is wrong with you?
Anyway here are my favorite notes
Exhibit A: The very feminist take that people socially/medically/legally classed as female aren’t oppressed on the basis of being socially/medically/legally classed as female.
Exhibit B: Seeing a non-sexual image of a trans man and immediately thinking about him bottoming. Because sexually objectifying random people for no reason is, again, very feminist. 🙄
Exhibi— okay I don’t have anything to say, I’m just enamored by this one. What does it even mean. What if a cis guy was a trans guy. What if the world was made of pudding. What if words meant nothing.
"if men could get pregnant-" they can. "if men got periods-" they do. "men never experience-" they do. "men would never understand-" i promise you whatever you are about to say there are men who go through the exact same thing
