Typhoon, Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. and trained by the X-Men, is struggling to come to terms with the events going on in the world with the fall of S.H.I.E.L.D. This is an RP blog for the character of Typhoon, who is a human mutant with the powers of telepathy, telekinesis, and hydrokinesis (control of water). Relationship Status: Single M!A Status: None
I know this blog has been inactive since the group I was a part of shut down. And I want to bring this character back because I love him too much to let him fade into obscurity.
So the question becomes: Try to find a marvel/multi-fandom group that allows OCs, or try the independent circuits?
The angel squinted at the show of power, gaze tracking the tendril of water as it slithered from the body of water to Ty. Soon, a soft smile curved up the corners of his lips. Humans never ceased to amaze him. Even this one would take his abilities and use it for good. And for some insane reason, the other angels couldn’t see what he saw within humanity.
"It would make sense, if your powers manifested here, that it would be your strongest tie." He admitted, focus shifting towards the water. His grace didn’t sense anything abnormal about it yet the mutation of Ty’s DNA is what probably triggered the change, not the water itself. As much as he wants to test his theory, he’s not going to be intrusive.
Well, not too intrusive.
"Was it around the event you call puberty? The hormonal changes within your body paired with the emotional spike might have aided the change within you." His head inclined slightly as he studied the one in front of him, wondering exactly lead to such an interesting change in Ty’s DNA structure.
The water around him helped him feel relaxed, and it was a good place to wind down from fighting angels. His human mutation wasn't even on the same level as their divine energy in some ways, but he had the training to make up for it. Fighting multiple angels pushed the limits of both his powers and his training, and it was nice having a reprieve from the action.
Ty let the water coat his arm as it broke away fully from the Sound. He turned back towards Castiel. "Yeah, it did. I was.... 13, I think," he said, unsure. Those memories were old, and really it felt like a lifetime ago in some aspects. It was almost as if they never really happened some days, and wading through them made his concentration falter, water starting to drip away from his arm.
"That's common among mutants, though," he said. "Most mutants manifest powers during puberty, although there are some cases where physical mutations are present at birth - like blue skin." There were two that he knew of that were like that, and was sure there were others.
He smiled slightly, glad to have an angel on the side of humans. Maybe it was the universe's way of balancing itself out, but whatever the reason was, it wasn't really important. Castiel was a friend, and that was something he needed.
If there is in error among these posts, let me know ASAP. I know that people are still busy with finals and stuff still going on as well as personal life. And honestly, personal well-being is far more important than the group.
But I *might* be interested in taking on more threads if any of these fall out/don’t end up being completed. I promise I don’t bite, and if you need to drop a thread I am okay with that - I just need to know.
Reblogging with the updated thread count as of the recent activity checks.
I know that things may be in a little bit of turmoil with what's being reset, but I would like to keep as many of these as possible, so let me know what's going on!

So Apparently I don't owe any replies currently... Interesting.

A sharp intake of breath punctuated Gambit's hand grabbing his ass, his body tensing for a moment before the touch of lips against his shoulder made him relax again. His body was almost putty in the other's hands at this point, everything he did and said playing like a fiddle.
And then the energy started coursing through his system. He couldn't help but release a moan as the wave of energy coarsed through him, his nerves alight with new sensations as Gambit charged his system. It wa s new feeling for him, and he loved it. He was more turned on than before, almost losing himself completely in the moment.
"Very much so," he whispered, coming down from his high as the energy faded. "It definitely is worth adding to the mix," he said, mind still on fire. Ty knew that this was going to be a good night, and he couldn't wait to see what else Gambit had in store for him.
The noise spurred Dean to action. He climbed out of the car and grabbed a handful of silver bullets from the trunk. There was nothing in his dad’s journal about dealing with a mutant— shifters, yeah. Werewolves, definitely. Something natural? No, of course not. If it wasn’t creepy and crawly and generally undead, they didn’t have much information on it.
He headed toward the sound, loading his gun as he moved.
Ty started running towards the sound, the forest doing a good job of distorting the origin point of the howl. It took him up a small hill, and when he got there, he was surprised at what he found.
It was definitely the mutant, shifted out and feral. There were some humanoid traits left to him - mixed physiology, opposable thumbs - but mostly he just looked like a large wolf. "It's okay, I'm here to help," he said softly, crouching down next to the huddled mass.
Which was when he saw the bite marks on his shank. They were still fresh, which meant something had attacked him. Ty started to ask a question before the mutants paws hit his side and sent him halfway down the hill. By the time Ty had landed and regained his bearings, the mutant was gone.
"Damn it," he said softly, standing up and brushing himself off. He waited until Dean caught up to him, piecing things together. "I think our mutant got bitten by an actual werewolf."
"When you’re done with drawing the sigil, set your palm in the center of it to activate." Doing the action, nothing happened yet he didn’t expect anything to. He was the only angel in the area and being as he was the one activating it, it wouldn’t effect him.
"Every angel in the immediate radius will be effected and cast far away from the area- including myself. However you need to be prepared to do it when required. I will be fine as it wouldn’t be the first time it’s been used on me. Just be wary that you’ll be on your own until I can return." Finished with his explanation, he cleaned the blood from his hand with a wave of grace. At the moment, the sigils were in place and there was really nothing to do but wait and see if his siblings returned.
"You mentioned your ties to this area. Does it enhance your abilities or is it a place to re-charge?" He inquired curiously. He hadn’t had the chance to interact with a mutated human and he was curious to the gifts given to the one in front of him.
Ty nodded, understanding. He silently wondered how close of a radius the sigil worked in, but he could always just use battle testing to figure that out. It's what he was better at anyway, especially in field situations. He figured he'd probably end up with several chances to use the sigil anyway with the universe all but falling apart on them.
He chuckled a little bit, Cas' curiosity reminding him that while Cas was an angel, he was still a person. "In a way, yes," he said, looking out towards the open water. "As a water manipulator, I can draw power from standing water and use it to my advantage," he said, reaching out an arm towards Puget Sound, a small tendril of water reaching out of the sound and snaking around his arm.
"But this particular place has another special meaning for me. It's where my powers first manifested. My brother and I were swimming and he was being pushed around by some other kids, and I didn't take too kindly... Even though I lost him in a fire, this place reminds me why I keep going. I may not have him any more, but I guess that was my first act of heroism. And really, I've never looked back."
He was flying as fast as he could go. He had faith in Steve, Tasha, and Sam. They had Fury and Hill on their backs - they'd be good no matter what happened. Didn't mean it would be easy, but it would work. They'd get it done.
Which is part of why he was sent to the Cube. Out of all of them, he would be the only one that could get there fast enough and pull it off solo. They were split to their limit, and couldn't afford any mistakes. This was the only way it could go from here. And he wasn't sure he liked it, but he didn't have a choice.
Ear piece visor was up and active. He had a live feed for when all of S.H.I.E.L.D.'s and HYDRA's files went live. None of them would be safe, but it was a sacrifice they had to make. It was an all or nothing gambit, and it had to pay off big.
And that was all he could do. Free as many people as he could and weed out S.H.I.E.L.D. from HYDRA. They had been intertwined for so long that it would be almost impossible to figure out who was who, which is why Natasha told him to trust no one. And really, that was about all he could do - trust no one.
Agent Blue was that chance. He wasn't the only one on a time crunch, but his mattered the most. But his approach was quickly thwarted. Four ballistic missiles right as he got withing firing range. "Of course," he muttered to himself, eyes glowing as he telekinetically sent them off course before all but diving into the building.
He couldn't contact the others. His corner of the mission was radio silence and all but black ops. Plus, if he didn't make it it wasn't the end of the world. Not quite a suicide mission, but it might as well have been. Stopping Project Insight was the main goal, his mission was side quest more than anything else.
Still, he had to take down far too many Agents for his own good. Most of the suits were inquisitive as to why he was fighting the swat team. Splitting his focus between combat and mission was hard, but he needed to. They needed to know, although he had a feeling some of them already did and were just playing dumb. HYDRA was everywhere, and not even The Hub or HQ were safe.
"I don't know what you've been told, but S.H.I.E.L.D. has been compromised." A lot of people started giving him confused looks, which was when he remembered that telepaths and most psychic phenomena weren't on the official S.H.I.E.L.D. protocol. Still, it was the only chance he had to let them know. "HYDRA forces have turned us against ourselves at the risk of Project Insight taking anyone against them out. If you're with S.H.I.E.L.D. and with me, then I need your help. If you're with HYDRA..."
His mental speech got cut off. Two hard hits to the head in quick succession and super magnets attaching his wrists down against the ground cut his focus. He groaned, sending a telekinetic wave to get the HYDRA agents off of him. His feet flopped down, regaining his bearings quickly and using his water powers to separate his cuffs from the floor.
Several suits started pulling out weapons as he stood up. His visor went live as the feed did. He was too late in a lot of ways as the Triskeleon fell and S.H.I.E.L.D. went public. Still, there was a lot of work to be done and the only way to do that was from the inside out.
"Alright, now that I've got your attention, this is how this is going to go. I'm taking The Cube back. If anyone has anything to say against that, I suggest putting your weapons down, because I do not take kindly to threats."
He paused a moment. The calm before the storm as the fighting stopped for a couple seconds before bullets started flying everywhere. Both sides wanted to win, but after a few hours of intesnse brawling, Ty made the call to the hub.
"The Cube has been retaken." Luckily a few medical personnel had been left to patch him up. He was about to take off when he got the word: The Fridge had been taken. "Well... Shit." That was the one they needed most. Which meant his job was about to get a whole lot harder, especially with Fury going dark.
First the Angels, now S.H.I.E.L.D. Might be time to get the Avengers back together....
((This post is subject to change as AoS continues to air with new details and WILL be edited if it involves a character that becomes active and not just NPC'ed))
Post Avengers, Ty was brought into DC/New York to fill in the gap and void the Avengers left behind. Stark went back to Malibu temporarily while construction on the tower was being done, and the other Avengers split from there.
The reason Clint/Hawkeye was not in DC is because of his skill set. While useful, he still had a long debriefing period at the a different S.H.I.E.L.D. base and is still there, working things out.
As far as S.H.I.E.L.D. agent work goes, Ty has been kept out of the loop a lot, solely focusing on the Rift in New York and being the hero that city needs instead of the covert ops that Steve and Tasha get sent on.
But even he knows something is very wrong when Fury is registered as dead. Even though he is the only one allowed access to the Cerebro at Stark Tower, the first thing he does it lock it down, encrypted files and all since it's mutant database is kept separate from any and all other S.H.I.E.L.D. files. It's connected to the Xavier Protocols at the mansion, and the last thing that needs to happen is those files going public.
Once that is done, HYDRA tries to take him out. Since S.H.I.E.L.D. records only show him as an aquakinetic, they were unaware of his telepathic and telekinetic abilities, which easily gave him the upper hand in the ensuing fight, forcing him to quickly head underground for a few days as well, trying to find his way to safety.
Unfortunately, without the Stark Tower Cerebro, his best bet was to head back to the mansion and warn the X-Men about what little he knew - and that at the moment was that S.H.I.E.L.D. was compromised. He told Storm to keep the students on their guard as he sought out Commander Hill and the rag-tag team to take back S.H.I.E.L.D. from HYDRA.
However his mission was a little different. They could have used him to prevent Project Insight from launching. And in reality, he could have done it solo. Two things prevented this course of action - his timing, and the hundreds if not thousands of Agents still in the dark. He arrived at the underground bunker just as the others were suiting up. So instead of Project Insight, Fury sent him to weed out HYDRA from S.H.I.E.L.D at the other bases around the world.
So Ty set out to start "reclaiming" S.H.I.E.L.D., even though their heirarchy was all but destroyed at the top. However, being officially moved to level 8 clearance by Fury before setting out leaves him as one of the top Agents left in the organization that is being labeled as a terrorist threat.
Still, he knows what he knows, and that HYDRA won't go down quietly. with 7 bases around the world and the Academy to free, he's got his hands full.
He knew from the start the Remy LeBeau was going to be nothing but trouble, and so far, he was proven one hundred percent accurate. Even if he had dug himself into a little bit of a hole, Remy was not letting him out of it at all. Still, he was enjoying himself, even if not exactly where he thought this night was going to go. Natasha used seduction to get her way when she needed to, so why couldn’t he?
Although really, he had everything he needed from Remy - everything from this point forward was simply a bonus. And it definitely wasn’t going to be a bonus he turned down.
The Acadian tilted his head, a slight smirk quirking up the corners of his lips, as he watched Ty dish up the appetizer that would lead to the main course. It seemed as though the other was actually going to participate with Remy’s request… which was amusing as well as intriguing. Well, he wasn’t going to complain if he was going to get what he wanted.
He chuckled a bit, playing off the food puns while they were still easy to make. "By all means, sample away. After all, this all yours tonight," he said softly. He grinded his hips down against the Cajun's as his tongue traced his chest, his head leaning back to give Gambit access to his neck.
A soft, muffled groan of approval escaped as Remy broke the contact. Ty looked into Remy's eyes, coming down a little from the recent contact with the other, wanting more of it. He smiled. "I'm open to criticism," he said, rocking his hips a little more. "So what exactly does this Cajun spice have to offer? I'm not used to working with it and I want to make sure I get it right."
"I also carved your ribs so you can make an escape undetected if needed. It’s not just for protection here. It has no time limit… it won’t disappear." The angel responded as he manifested his blade and held it up. "Regardless, the sigil. It has to be drawn in blood. Fresh. Most likely yours if you’re alone."
He drew the blade lightly along his own palm, just enough to make it bleed. It wasn’t that he was afraid of bleeding out. He was an angel, but he knew he needed to show restraint. Humans were strange creatures about such things as cutting too deep or not deep enough. Dismissing his weapon, he dragged his fingers from his other hand through the pooling liquid. “You can draw it anywhere.” he noted as he started the circle part of it on the floor.
Quickly, and a bit carelessly since he’d been drawing these a lot recently, he completes the sigil as though he was just drawing a simple doodle and looked back at Ty. “…Did you catch it all? I can show you again if need be. You need to be precise with it. I know we’re short on time, but this could save you when you need it.”
"That's good to know," he said nodding, his body still recovering from the carvings in his ribs. It was a new feeling to feel protected like this. It was almost as if he had an extra mental shield in place that couldn't be broken. It was a hard energy to describe and place, but he could feel it, much like the presence of another person guarding him from angels.
Ty winced a little as Cas sliced his palm. It wasn't that he wasn't used to seeing blood or bleeding, but watching someone do it to themselves was a little painful. It was rapidly pushed out of his mind as he watched the angel draw a circle at first, adding in the details quickly as if he had done this a million times. He probably has.
There was a moment of silence as he replayed the drawing in his head. It was a lot to take in, but he had it, or at least thought he did. "Yeah, I think so," he said nodding. He knew all about timing and how it could save lives, so it wasn't something he would take lightly. "So what happens after drawing the sigil?" he asked, mental senses on high alert. He knew if the angels were coming for him they'd be coming down hard and fast, and he didn't want to be caught off guard.
((OOC: Expect more of these to pop up within the next couple months as more Marvel movies come out. This one focuses on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and the build up to The Winter Soldier.))
According to the MCU/Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., people with psychic abilities (like the Clairvoyant) do not exist, which poses a problem for a mutant telepath working for S.H.I.E.L.D.
As such, when Coulson and his team got close to uncovering Deathlok and the Clairvoyant, Typhoon was not assigned to the case as his abilities were needed elsewhere. The only people within S.H.I.E.L.D. who are officially aware of his telepathic abilities at this moment in time are Director Fury (who has only recently appeared back on the grid), Agent Hill (in also working with the X-Men to select a telepath for S.H.I.E.L.D. to begin with), and Coulson himself.
Ty lets other Agents know on a case by case basis (which John Watson knows by now), but most of them only see him as a hydrokineticist and the Agent in charge of Rift Analysis.
While originally Fury brought him in to 'cover' New York while the Avengers had split and all gone their separate ways, the time is approaching when the Avengers will to need to reassemble. While the Clairvoyant and the traitor within S.H.I.E.L.D. are currently only internal matters, after the Mandarin, the second alien invasion that Thor has stopped, and the 'revival' of the Winter Soldier, the call will be summoned soon.
Who is the one to make the call is still up in the air. But Fury needs to get off the grid, and the one thing Typhoon can't do is save the world by himself.
New York City had definitely earned it's reputation as the City that Never Sleeps. Although most people thought it was just the bustling night life that made it that way. And while that wasn't entirely incorrect, it still was only a half truth.
Demons loved New York. There was always someone willing to sell their soul for something. And with the Avengers "disassembled" for the time being post the Chitauri invasion, there wasn't a unified force to deal with a lot of the demons and small crimes running rampant on the streets.
While it wasn't Ty's primary job focus within S.H.I.E.L.D. to be on the streets, he was a valuable asset and he often got sent into the field to deal with the things that went bump in the night anyway. So while many of the citizens of New York were trying to sleep or just hiding in their homes, many went on blissfully unaware of the battle that went down in their own back yards. Or alleyways.
There were five. Ty had originally only seen two, but the other three had ambushed him. And while three of them used their demonic telekinesis to hold him in place, his eyes lit up the scene in front of him holding all five of them against the opposing wall with his own telekinesis.
It wasn't until the night sky started lighting up with thunder and lightning that Ty chuckled a bit, watching the demons look at each other confused. "You think dealing with one Avenger is hard? I got news for you. I have back up incoming."
"Glad you could recognize the challenge." Remy teased playfully as he released the other’s jaw. Crimson tinged eyes glanced down as the buttons started to glow a pale blue before they seemed to undo themselves. "That be a neat trick." His words were tinged with laughter as his focus shifted back to Ty. "We’ll see how long you last against me."
Though his tone implies he’ll be returning the battle of seduction, he does nothing more than arch his hips up slightly into the teasing touch moments before it disappears. He did say he wanted a show and he’d be damned if he let this opportunity pass him by. He lifts his arms and rests them on the back of the couch as he watches Ty intently. A bit of mood music has his lips quirking up in amusement but he doesn’t say anything until Ty stops to ask him a question that is probably rhetorical. “By all means.” he encouraged with a wave of his hand. “Unless you don’t think you can manage to serve up the main course.”
Natasha used seduction to get her way when she needed to, so why couldn't he?
Although really, he had everything he needed from Remy - everything from this point forward was simply a bonus. And it definitely wasn't going to be a bonus he turned down.
"Enjoying the show?" he asked, switching his position to give Remy a better view of his assets and what the Cajun was dealing with.
Ana nodded and started for the door, feeling eyes on the back of her head. “Don’t worry… I’m good at taking off, but, I want answers… I’m not going anywhere.” She said before exiting the house and bound down the front steps. She paused a moment once she reached the sidewalk before breaking out in a sprint towards her apartment.
Once she reached her building, she pulled her keys from her pocket, taking the stairs two at a time until she reached her floor, earning her a few unsavory glances from the elderly couple that lived next door. "You’re going to kill yourself coming up the stairs llike that, young lady…" Ana simply rolled her eyes in response before entering her home.
She instantly moved to her closet and gathered everything she needed for a simple demon summoning spell, tossing it all into her bag before taking off again.
She made it back to the house in less than ten minutes, panting as she came back through the front door. “Where should I set up?” She asked, a small smirk pulling at the corner of her mouth.
Ty smiled a bit as she walked out. He had several disposable agent he could have sent to tail her, but he didn't think he needed to do that. Many other S.H.I.E.L.D. agents would have, but he had faith in her. That, and he had other problems to worry about.
"Marco, Houston, get the water tanks out of the back of the SUV," said Ty, loosening his tie and taking off his jacket. With the initial contact with Ana over, summoning a demon took this case from the suit/tie realm into more than that. He needed to be comfortable, and while his black and blue bodysuit wasn't the traditional idea of comfort, it was far more comfortable to him than the suit and tie he had on a few minutes before.
He pulled the two rosaries out of his glove pockets as the water jugs were brought into the house. He pulled the water around his hands and recited the Latin he knew, turning the several gallons of water into holy water, placing it back into the jugs for later a mere few moments before Ana came back in the door.
"Wherever you think best," said Ty, "although I'm leaning towards the back patio. Probably best to not make this confrontation inside in case things go south."
"It’s only about six blocks from here." She said, running a hand back through her hair. What the hell was happening? Of all black eyed sons of bitches, it had to be the one with a vendetta against her. "I would rather use my own things. No offense or anything… It’s just… this is apparently personal and… It’s just better if I use my own things."
She sighed and shoved her hands into her pockets, rocking back on her heels. “So, do I need and escort or am I good to go on my own?” She asked motioning towards the door. It’s not that she was worried about someone following her to her apartment, as much as it was her being worried about making a run for it and leaving SHIELD to figure this whole mess out on their own.
Why, after all these years, was Asher trying to reach out to her? She subconciously fingered the pendant at her throat, her mind racing with so many question and scenarios. Would she even make it out of this encounter in one piece? “Alright… Let’s do this…”
Ty had more than enough experience to know that when it came to demons, the more personal and familiar you were with the objects, the better off you were when you were using it. "I understand completely. Your equipment is a lot more seasoned, and that connection you have to it will long run serve us better."
He paused a moment. It would make sense for him to send an escort with her, just in case Asher showed up unexpectedly. But at the same time, most of the Agents had cleared out, leaving him with only a couple other suits - and they would be all but useless in a demon attack. And since Asher appeared here first, it only made sense that he'd show back up here before anywhere else.
"I think it would be best if you went on your own," he said after contemplating. "If anything happens to you while you're out, we know how to find you," he said. He could keep a mental eye on her, but really, he had his own preparations to make. A couple extra gallons of holy water wouldn't hurt them any, right?
At the spoken permission, Castiel reached out and braced his hand on Ty’s chest, focusing his grace to inscribe a ward of protection onto the mutant’s ribs. It takes less than a second, but he was sure there was a sharp pain felt by the other. “Angels won’t be able to track you. Which includes me. You will have to call my name if you’re ever in trouble or I can’t help you.” he informed the other as he moved away.
The information about Ty’s powers manifesting here does make him glance around the area once more, but he can’t sense anything in particular that seemed abnormal. Ty has a point. They have the chance to recover and plan their next move. “I need to put up more wards. Stronger wards. Is this a place that you can… recharge?” he’s not sure if that’s the correct statement to use. “I can heal you if you need it.” Even as he speaks, he’s formulating a plan. Heaven was determined to end him once and for all. He had to be one step ahead of them. “And I should teach you the banishing sigil in case you need to use it. Unless you would prefer to just leave. It’s still an option at this point.”
He grimaced as the ward was etched into his ribs. His entire body felt like it was on fire for a split second. And then it was gone. With a grunt and a couple of heavy breaths he regained his composure, the ward in place as Castiel stepped away.
Ty shook his head, processing what Cas had said - angels couldn't find him. Which he was more than perfectly okay with at this point. But they could still track Cas, which meant that they still had incomong, and who knew how long it would take to find them. Still, Cas had held them off for this long on his own, and now that he could fly under the radar, it definitely bought them more time.
"You just carved my ribs - pretty sure if I were going to leave I would have left a long time ago," he said with a smile, trying to lighten the mood a little. Tony's not here to do it - somebody has to. "This is fine," he said, quickly changing back to business first. "That banishing sigil will probably come in handy, actually. And honestly, this close to an open body of water is about as good of a place to recharge as any at this point, so let's get to work."
