[Bridget slowed to a stop just in front of Phoebe, then turned to face her. There was no malice in the queen's expression; instead, she found the whole spiel so humorous that she couldn't help smiling.]
❝ Oh, darling. ❞ [Bridget leaned in just enough to boop the young girl's nose. The gesture wasn't necessarily affectionate, but rather a subtle acknowledgment of Phoebe's childishness.] ❝ You couldn't be more wrong. ❞

[Bridget held her hands together for a moment, then opened them, revealing a deck of cards. She then slowly returned her arms back to her sides, shuffling the deck effortlessly as she did. Once she was finished, she fanned out her cards, some of which magically floated across the open space between her hands.]

while i'm having brainrot about rise of red, i want to talk about the gaping plot hole with the vks and the prank because i keep thinking about it!!
the cookbook would have frozen uliana and her squad no matter what. if the cookbook was enchanted to only be opened by "the right hands," then who could have used it? uliana's crew was frozen and busted by merlin, but until chloe and red meddled, the book was still there. what if it wasn't uliana who humiliated bridget? could someone with "the right hands" have opened the book and used its cupcake recipe?
when i first watched the movie, i was actually really suspicious of cinderella. to be fair, i get overly suspicious of characters when i really like them (just a silly little quirk about me), but after rewatching, i don't think cinderella would have intentionally hurt bridget. however, she does distance herself from what happened (because she wasn't there lol) and even refers to the incident as a "stupid prank," even though it really hurt bridget. enough for her to become a tyrant, so y'know.
side note, but i also really really wanna know what happened to cause cinderella to wander off with her prince charming. what happened that would make ella choose charming over bridget??
anyway. it's only after chloe and red STEAL the book that the prank doesn't happen, so i keep wondering if somebody else was behind it. who would it have been?? what if it WAS somebody like cinderella or charming? if charming is as much of a frat bro as his son, maybe he just thought the prank would be funny and harmless. but i don't know!!! and i really hope that my questions get answered (though i doubt they will, knowing how disney is).
