Sometimes I wonder why I have to live with narcissistic people who tend to become hot-tempered.
Sophisticated narcissists often idealize some form of narcissism, such as outwardly displaying contempt for others or constantly seeking personal gain at the expense of others' personal gain. But no, if it were that simple, my life would be much simpler.
Narcissistic and hot-tempered individuals often, and almost always, perceive any opposition from others as an attack on themselves, in any hypothetical situation, even when other people’ actions are for their own needs and interests; resisting and refusing to fulfill their personal needs is considered a crime. They often pay close attention to details and will mostly use them as hypothetical evidence of personal animosity or revenge directed at them.
I don't understand why they tend to attack others personally, but their arguments are almost always vague. And it often comes with anger. Lots of anger. There's also a tendency to yell and violence. Somehow, they always have a tendency towards making fair efforts in resolving conflicts and disputes between others, but otherwise, most of their problems are resolved by expressing anger and purely personal attacks.
Why would someone who relies on personal attacks and yelling in their own disputes want to resolve conflicts fairly for others? I believe the most important factor might be the relevance of the subject to the problem.
If anyone say that some people are influenced by the past and tend to become the kind of person they are, then I'm sure I'd be a quarter of those who believe that environment and genetics aren't essential factors in determining whether someone can become that kind of person. I feel like somehow they lack a problem-solving and cognitive compartment in their heads. They just cram everything into one compartment: past experiences, professional knowledge, life experiences, bad memories, conditioned reflexes, etc., and they seem to constantly extract and manipulate them to deal with problems.
And now I'm doomed. I have to live through a day enduring three waves of attacks from my family. Why do most of them lack of emotional intelligence?
