Hey guys, if you don’t mind, I have a fundraising cause for you to spread and support if you can! The Filipino American National Historical Society is an organization my family has been connected to for years, more specifically through my aunt, who has given decades of her life to help preserve the history of people like my great-grandfather who immigrated to the US from the Philippines. They opened a museum in Stockton, CA a few years ago but now it’s struggling to survive due to the current pandemic. I have a little bit of a following here on tumblr so I thought, maybe I can help to raise some awareness! The current director has started a fund on his Facebook but you can also donate at their PayPal. Here is the museum website if you want to take a look.

Filipino American National Historical Society-Stockton Chapter - FANHS Museum
Hi Everyone! I'm going over old pictures. This one is from 1932. I believe it's my father. But he looks too skinny. And he's wearing saddle
I’m mixed heritage, but the side of my family I know the most about is my Filipino-American side, simply because my aunt has put in the work to document our family’s story and the stories of other families too. It would be so sad if this museum had to fold because they couldn’t pay rent. Boost this if you can or donate if you’ve got some spare cash! Thank you, friends :)
I want to add these pics for fun: here’s my grandma and her sisters, looking glamorous
....And here’s my grandma and her sister posing for fake crime scene photos for the lols???
Anyway what I’m saying is without my aunt’s preservation efforts these photos might be lost. Proud to know I come from this legacy of dorks
