You didn't, thankfully. He was planning on gifting you a simple necklace he found, had a small locket on it with engravings and a picture of you both for your 2 year anniversary.
Phoenix: "Oh shit my new shoes came in??"
Of course he had bought another pair of expensive shoes for his collection, the usual.
Sage: "oh my order of tea :) I got some shipped from china, would you like some?"
She let you taste some of the tea she had ordered in, spending the afternoon in her living quarters, relaxing and chatting over the cup of tea
Sova: "Oh just some charged arrowheads for my shock arrows. You didn't touch them, did you?"
By the time he had a reply you had already opened the box and got relatively well electrocuted after touching one of the arrowheads. When he came back he just sighed, shook his head but bandaged your hand.
Viper: "poison."
It was not actually poison but the answer alone was enough to get you to not touch that box.
Cypher: "oh a new chess set, made of wood and entirely hand carved. Would you be interested in playing later?"
Of course you said yes, and the new chess pieces were quite nice. You could understand why he wanted to acquire these.
Reyna: "don't you dare open it."
The lack of detail made you curious and you couldn't help looking inside. When you saw the contents of the box, far from PG-13, you had to sit yourself down for a moment. And of course she walked in a bit after, and seeing your red face she already knew you checked. "Well now you know what's about to happen."
Killjoy: "my alarm bot. It's in time out."
You don't really understand why, curiosity getting the better of you and opening the box. You discovered pretty fast after the alarm bot was practically attacking you.
Breach: "probably a gun, molly or fusion cells."
And you were more stunned about 'molly' being an option in all of that. Turns out it was only fusion cells.
Omen: "yarn. I ordered more."
You took care of unpacking it for him and putting it in his designated basket for yarn. He was quite grateful, being able to just sit down and knit without worrying about the unpacking part.
Jett: "uhhhhhhhhhhhhh idk"
So you take it upon yourself to open the box, revealing a very suspicious looking pack. After opening it you could see it was white powder and it immediately alerted you. After a bit of back and forth texts, turns out she just ordered a bag of MSG, a spice for her food (I don't know if it's actually a spice or not so don't quote me)
Raze: "UH EITHER BOMBS OR SPRAY PAINT."
Out of curiosity you open the box. And curiosity killed the cat as you end up in med bay. From now on her boxes are going to get labeled properly.
Skye: "oh just a few wooden sculptures I stashed away. I was supposed to sort them."
You had fun looking through all the different sculptures she had made, laying them out on the desk. You sorted them by species, hoping that would give her a little bit of a hand.
Yoru: "drugs."
It was not drugs; and you learned that the hard way after Brimstone immediately searched the room after getting told there was potentially drugs. It was actually just a couple sweet snacks ordered in from Japan that he didn't want you getting into-and instead of getting himself in trouble.
Astra: "my drawing supplies!"
You did look through it briefly, finding nothing really interesting other than a copious amount of markers and pencils.
Kay/o: "why are you in my maintenance room."
It is true that killjoy is the only one who's supposed to be in that room to begin with; being the one who usually does the maintenance on kay/o
Chamber: "you will know tonight."
... I don't feel like I have to explain this one. But for those who don't understand: no walking for the next day.
Neon: "OH I FORGOT TO HIDE IT! IT'S FOR YOU THO 💙"
She had put together a little gift basket, like the one seen on tik Tok for Valentine's Day; chocolates, a plushie, a blankets, favorite drink, new tumbler and a handwritten card with an invitation to a restaurant dinner.
Fade: "kitty toys. Can you unpack them for nightmare?"
She had splurge it a little bit for her cat, and there was various toys, treats and a new little hammock for the kitty.
Harbor: "Ah! That must be the helmet I ordered for you so we can go on motorcycle rides together 😄"
He had gotten you a slightly more expensive helmet than what he usually got himself, one that had a bit of a fancy design on it and the mirror visor to look a little more mysterious.
Gekko: "OH IT FINALLY CAME IN??? I GOT WINGMAN A LITTLE SUIT."
Inside the box was a small suit that looked like it was tailored for an infant, which would make sense because trying to explain to a custom clothing maker that it was supposed to be for a radiant critter would probably confuse them. But seeing wingman in a suit was absolutely adorable.
Deadlock: "sound sensors, be careful."
The notification sound on your phone set them off, resulting in you getting stunned almost back to back a couple of times.
Iso: "snacks."
Indeed the box was full of snacks, but one in particular caught your attention. You took it out, and it was one of those bead candies that you usually wear on the necklace or a bracelet, just a different shape. It was packaged in a clear bag with no labeling and you opened it just to check what it was supposed to be. After unpacking it and seeing your face went red. Seems Iso already decided on desert for the night.
Clove: "rocks :D"
It was their entire rock collection, all nicely sorted in the box. You added one of your own in there for them.
Vyse: "Schrödinger's cat"
It was indeed not a cat, just a few various equipments that she needed for experiments she was working on. But for the joke you did leave a Post-It note with a cat drawing on it, purposely drawing it dead.
Tejo: "why are you looking through my stuff? 🤨"
Turns out he had just ordered another pair of shades, adding yet one more pair to his collection. But you did decide to mess around and borrow one of his pairs to wear around.
Waylay: "A glass suncatcher."
The glass suncatcher reflected the same way that her powers did with the light. It was honestly pretty and you hung it for her in the best spot on the window, so when she walked in it would be shimmering already for her.

Yoru
Yoru’s usually the first one up, like 95% of the time, but getting up? that’s a whole different story. He’s not a morning person, so he tends to stay in bed for quite a while. He just loves how quiet the early morning is, just sitting there watching the sunlight illuminate the room. It’s one of the moments where he lets himself soften up a bit, just looking at you peacefully sleeping.
When it comes to waking you up, he’s not exactly the gentlest, but he’s got his own sweet way of doing it. He might brush your hair out of your face or lean in close to directly say something like, “Oi, wake up already.” in your ear.
If you’re being extra stubborn , he’ll start teasing you, tickling you or covering you collarbone and neck with kisses and hickeys until you finally groan and get up, which just makes him smirk.
On lazy mornings, he might stay in bed with you longer than usual, leaning on one elbow while he traces random patterns on your skin with his fingers or just holding you close to him.
And he espacially loves those quiet moments for a bit of light teasing with you. If you suggest staying in bed even longer, he’s secretly all for it, though he’ll pretend it’s just to humor you.
On busier days he'll make sure you're both up and ready to go on time. While Yoru’s not a morning person, so he can be a little grumpy, but he still takes charge in this situation. If you’re dragging your feet, don’t be surprised if he wraps his arms around you from behind and growls something like, “Come on, let’s go, slowpoke.”
Yoru doesn’t usually do the whole “affectionate” thing, but mornings are a bit different. He loves noticing the little details about you, like how messy your hair gets or the way you bury your face in the pillow. Every now and then, he’ll pull you into a kiss that starts out slow and lazy but quickly gets heated, it’s his way of soaking in your presence before the day kicks off.
Gekko
You’re usually the first one up since Gekko tends to sleep like a rock. He’s often sprawled out across the bed, one arm thrown over you making it harder for you to get up.
If you’re the one waking him up, it’s probably by tracing circles on his chest or sneaking soft kisses on his cheek. When he finally stirs, his first move is to pull you closer, mumbling in that half-asleep, raspy voice, “Five more minutes…”
If he’s the one waking you up (on the rare occasions), it’s really soft and playful. He’ll kiss your forehead and grin as he whispers, “Good morning, beautiful.”
On more lazy mornings, Gekko loves staying in bed with you as long as you’ll let him. His little buddies usually hop onto the bed to join in the cuddles, making it even cozier.
Breakfast tends to be slightly chaotic with everyone involved, but despite that he can never get enough of your laugh as you both try (and maybe fail) to cook together.
Even on busy days, Gekko’s mornings are a bit slow but always shows his care for you. If you aren't going out together he’ll make sure you’re all set before he heads out, giving you a long kiss and throwing in a “Don’t miss me too much.”
Physical touch is totally Gekko’s thing, so he’s always finding a way to be close, wrapping an arm around you or resting his chin on your shoulder.
On those slower mornings, he loves whispering sweet things into your ear or shares whatever random dream he had. Sometimes those moments turn into soft, passionate kisses that make it really hard to actually get out of bed.
Chamber
Chamber’s always up early. By the time you wake up, he’s either already perfectly dressed or sipping his espresso looking like straight out of a café ad. He always loves watching you wake up, you're groggy appearance making a soft smile appear on his lips.
If you’re still asleep but need to get up, he leans in to press a kiss to your temple or gently nudge your shoulder while murmuring, “Mon amour, it’s time to wake up.” On the rare occasion you’re the one waking him, you’ll catch him looking entirely relaxed, his hair a little messy, his whole vibe softer than usual.
On lazy mornings, Chamber doesn’t mind indulging. He’ll stay in bed with you, running his hands over your body or lightly tracing your lips with his thumb. And of course, breakfast is brought to you, he insists on spoiling you, no arguments allowed.
On busy mornings, he’s all about efficiency. He’s never really in a rush, but everything he does feels intentional. He’ll help you get ready, whether it’s tying your tie or brushing lint off your shirt. Before heading out, he’ll kiss your hand, a quiet little promise that he’ll be back for you.
Chamber has this way of taking care of you that feels so effortless. Whether it’s handing you your morning coffee or pulling you in for a tender kiss, it’s just second nature to him. On slower mornings, he’s completely unhurried, his touch lingers, his kisses teasing and light or deep enough to leave you completely breathless.
Phoenix
Phoenix is usually the first one up, full of energy and ready to go. But if he’s had a late night, he’ll totally sleep in and cling to you like you’re his favorite teddy bear.
If he wakes up before you, he’ll playfully shake you awake, announcing something like, “Babe, the world needs us” On the flip side, if you’re the one waking him, he’ll groggily pull you back into bed with a cheeky grin, muttering, “Just a few minutes longer.”
Lazy mornings with Phoenix are always fun. He might suggest breakfast in bed or turn on some music and tries to get you to dance with him. You’ll probably end up in his arms, laughing as he spins you around the kitchen.
On busy mornings, he’s quick but always thoughtful, making sure that both of you are ready for the day. He’ll give you a goodbye kiss with a wink and throw in a playful “Don’t forget to miss me.”
Phoenix always wants to make sure there is a smile on your face, whether it’s cracking a silly joke or surprising you with a quick kiss. Reyna’s protective side really comes out in the early mornings through tender gestures, tucking your hair behind your ear, stroking your cheek, or whispering sweet affirmations. Her kisses effortlessly go from soft and sweet to passionate, leaving you feeling cherished and utterly adored.

may I request headcanon/mini fic for chamber, phoenix, sova, and yoru about what they would do if they had a partner that absolutely DESPISES cold weather, like they'll shiver at the slightest blow of wind, and to the point that even no air comes their way, they would still complain that its too cold.
I'm so excited to see how this turns out, especially since I've been thinking about this all week. Picked chamber cuz since hes my number one, yoru and sova specifically cuz they are tied to something cold, and phoenix with his radiant power warming up the reader ykyk.

Ft. Chamber, Phoenix, Yoru, Sova
As of receiving your request, it's Friday for me too! Got it at just about 1am (4am as of posting, whoops). It's quite cold for me as well, (and it's a little embarrassing to admit) but I shiver when it's anywhere below 60°f, even when that's the average temp other than during the summer.

Chamber
⭑.ᐟ Vincent is.. wealthy, man. He knows comfort like no one else, so it's safe to say he moves around like a goose depending on the weather. And why should he exclude you from his activities?
⭑.ᐟ Of course, there are times when that just isn't possible, especially if it's on a mission (should you also be an agent), so he does what he can. Don't worry about the heating bills, you put that thermostat to whatever temperature you want and he'll pay it for you.
⭑.ᐟ Clothes are of no concern, as he's already ordered top tier jackets and mittens in just the right size. They're warm and soft, but not puffy (unless that's your thing) so they don't restrict movement. Oh, and he obviously makes sure to spray them with his cologne for you, unprompted, it's his favorite thing to do.
⭑.ᐟ And don't think just because your home is warm that he won't cuddle up to you. He absolutely still uses the excuse of it being cold outside to cuddle in bed, even if the thermostat is up high and you've got a bunch of blankets. Nothing is better than your boyfriend to keep you warm, yes?
ᯓᡣ𐭩 "Vincent, please!" You cry out, pressing a hand to his face and trying to push him away, but he refuses and pushes against your hand. His arms are wrapped tightly around your waist, and the blankets you've got wrapped around yourself.
"But mon amour! I am freezing." He whines, faking a shiver to try and dig home his statement. You know he's lying, but he looks so pitiful like that.
"And I'm starting to get warm!" Your hand moves down to his shoulder to try and push more effectively, but it's helpless. "Too warm for cuddles!"
"Impossible! You must hate me!" The dumb smile he's got on his face tells you he isn't serious. "If you are warm then please! Give me some, I beg my dear."
It's best to give in, he won't relent until you do. You'll be stuck
Phoenix
⭑.ᐟ The teasing is relentless, what else did you expect? He's pressing his hand against you and pulling back as soon as you get comfortable with the warmth. Watching as you complain with an evil giggle.
⭑.ᐟ Obviously, he doesn't spend the entire time messing with you. Jamie is a kind soul, so he claims! Of course he's giving you his jacket when he sees you shiver. His warm temps seep into the jacket and stay for quite a while.
⭑.ᐟ Should you remain cold, he's more than happy to wrap his arms around you and warm himself up a bit for you. No matter the situation, he'll drop everything to get you in his arms the second your teeth start to clatter together.
⭑.ᐟ Believe it or not, he is a master at making hot chocolate. His mom's taught him as a kid, and he'd always made it for his sister. If you're somewhere with a kitchen he'll whip you up some, all the whipped cream you want.
ᯓᡣ𐭩 "Jamie, it's so cold out here..." You groan, standing at the bus stop with your arms crossed. He's absolutely chilling while you're about to freeze.
"Please, it's not even that bad." He mutters, typing away on his phone. The nonchalance he had was making you frustrated.
"No, it is! I feel like I'm going to turn into a Popsicle..." As if on queue, your body does a drastic shake in an attempt to generate body warmth.
His phone is turned off and pushed into his pant pocket, focusing his attention on you. Okay, maybe it is a bit cold. Quick to fix his mistakes he takes off his jacket and settles it on your shoulders.
The warmth is quick to come, and your body does that thing where it feels really hot when it's also really cold, like a burning sensation. The satisfied sigh you let out puts a smile on his face.
"Prince charming has saved the day once again." He praises himself, wrapping his arm around your shoulders to pull you in. He lets the scoff you make go ignored.
Yoru
⭑.ᐟ Surprisingly, Ryo doesn't tease as much as you'd think. Not even when you shiver from a slight breeze. Maybe a little smirk and chuckle, but no words about how you can't handle it.
⭑.ᐟ He's pretty used to the cold, but obviously not immune. Even if he's cold, he'll give you his jacket and then wrap himself around you for extra warmth. Definitely the type of guy to make a comment about you two acting like penguins.
⭑.ᐟ Absolutely a sucker for hand holding. He'll use the cold as an excuse to hold your hands, and you best believe he won't let go, even when you're inside and warm. Hands stay together, and when you try to pull away he gives you the most devious side eye.
⭑.ᐟ In all honesty, he's rather stay inside with you instead of being in the cold, but he also enjoys going out. Solution? Well, there isn't really one, but he tries his best. Hand warmers are microwaved before leaving, he'll buy you a hot drink to hold, he's bought you a nice scarf to wear, and he'll give you any jacket you want from his closet.
ᯓᡣ𐭩 You stand at the lamp post as you watch him from a short distance. Ryo is at a coffee cart ordering a warm cider for you, and you got too cold to follow him. Surprisingly the wait isn't too long, and he's quick to return with a steaming cup.
"Here." He mutters, taking your hand to hold the cup.
The second your hand touches the cup you're sighing in relief, putting your other hand on it by yourself and relishing in the warmth. He cups your hands in his to keep the back of them cold, and you just stand like that for a moment.
"Better?" He asks after awhile, looking over your face for confirmation.
"Much better, thank you Ryo." You smile at him, finally taking a sip of the drink. Its warmth seeps down into your body, and you're letting out a content breath of air.
When you try to pull away, he doesn't let go of your hands. It takes him a moment, to do so, and when he does he's quick to wrap his arm around your shoulders to keep you close. Not that you're complaining.
Sova
⭑.ᐟ Definitely the best at handling the cold, seeing as he grew up in it. The most ideal solution is to just keep you in the bedroom, surrounded by his blankets and jackets, but that can't always happen.
⭑.ᐟ He knows all the best places to get warm clothes, and has gotten you multiple of each article so you can stay warm no matter what. He's also definitely hand made you some mittens, don't ask when, he has his ways.
⭑.ᐟ Using the fur on his cape to keep warm isn't efficient, but you're close enough to where his body heat radiates off onto you, so it works out. He really enjoys when you bury your face into it with your arms wrapped around his shoulders, but he won't tell you that himself. The way his shoulders relax gives him away though.
⭑.ᐟ Warm food champion. He knows every recipe possible for foods that warm you up quickly. Drinks as well. His soups are to die for, and he'll make any type you want upon request. Traditional Russian food or not, he'll make it for you so long as it comes out steaming for you.
ᯓᡣ𐭩 "For you." Sasha sets down a bowl of steaming hot stew in front of you with an affectionate smile. It looks delicious, with large chunks of potatoes and meat you just know is tender as hell.
"Thank you Sasha, I really appreciate it." You smile back at him, waiting for him to sit next to you before you take a spoonful to eat.
When you do you almost cry. It's so warm, and the flavors are amazing. No matter how many times you eat his cooking, it always has the same affect on you.
"So good." You mutter, leaning down to have more. He watches with love as you do so. To know you love his cooking like this makes him very happy.
When you finish, it's with a satisfied sigh. Your body now nice and warm, with your lovely boyfriend next to you. Could life get any better? Yes, it can.
You wrap your arms around him, leaning into his side while he slowly eats his own bowl of stew. His free arm wraps around you and rubs at your back as he eats little by little. This is the best time of year, not due to the weather, but because of how comforting it is to be with him.
