so what kind of world are your characters from? or do they live in modern-like times?

They are from a post-apocalyptic future, or more precisely, 1000 years after the world ended! Remnants of our society, and the many that come after it, influence their surroundings.

Her name is Questra! And the blue flame is Elmo.
