That comparison doesn’t work when the black woman is the one who “can get by”. That is the flaw. It took racism and applied it as a sloppy allegory where whites can be “more oppressed”, which leads to sloppy interpretations. Rogue is still a white woman but that seems to escape this discourse. That and it’s a simplification of Storm’s story and powers to present her mutation in this way.
