So, I posted earlier that I received my SS Arigatou Anthology and I promised I’d do a “review” post later on. I actually wasn’t expecting to receive my copy until midway March or so because that’s what it said on the website I used to track my book. Just imagine how surprised I was when the mailman knocked on my door and I looked like a fuckin’ mess as I just got out of bed then. Anyways, I’m just glad it’s finally here!!!
The book cover itself is like thin cardboard. It definitely has that doujinshi vibe and feel to it. It’s pretty thick too, so I guess for an anthology that’s 138 pages that’s a plus. There’s barely any text found on the cover page besides the title. On the back there’s a list of all the participating doujinshi artists, which I for one, am familiar with many because I can recognise their art styles. Overall 21 artists contributed their doujinshis to form this anthology.
The doujinshi also includes a bonus coloured poster drawn by MAKA. The poster is attached to the book, between the cover and the contents page, and I wouldn’t want to risk taking it out and stick it on my wall. The fanart is really nice to look at even with the two folds (the poster is double the size of the book).
The paper they used to construct the anthology is in my opinion, high quality. It doesn’t feel cheap at all, so that’s another plus. It’s kinda slightly thicker than the standard normal white paper (the paper used is a bit gray too). I don’t know if my phone (which I used to take photos of) picks up on it. Also I’m sorry if the pictures are a bit blurry! My phone’s kinda old.
EDIT: My internet decided to be a bitch and deleted all of the pictures I uploaded and stuff I typed after the picture below and I’m annoyed so I’m just gonna summarise the whole post.

Same goes for the hospital scene… I feel like, for some reason a lot of us SS shippers wanted a hospital scene with Sasuke and Sakura.
A parody of Hinata and Naruto’s date. Sasuke borrows a magazine from Sai. The main topic of the story revolves around what not to do with your date. Sasuke sees Sakura wearing a miniskirt and gets all flustered and embarrassed.
In this story here, Naruto catches Sasuke staring at Sakura while smiling.
Sarada is really curious…
Sasuke introduces Sarada to Kakashi. Sarada adorably fails to pronounce Kakashi’s name and Kakashi tries to stifle his laugh.
Sarada calls for her papa while patting his cheek…
Sasuke refers to Sakura as mama to Sarada. I think this is one of the cutest scenes ever in the anthology!
These are two different stories but they reference the scene in Sakura Hiden with Sasuke saying “I’m back” (tadaima) to Sakura. It seems to me this part in the novel is really popular.
Sarada calls for her mama so she can hold her hand. Sakura says Sarada must love her very much. Sarada also calls for her papa.
Her intentions are made clear as she wanted both of her parents to hold hands ahahaha she’s so cute~
There’s a bunch of “thank you” scenes too! But I only decided to upload two ahahaha sorry guys!!
“itterasshai/ittekuru” is what you say when you’re leaving home for the moment. I love how they included these scenes (obviously another reference to SS) with how Sasuke ‘views’ Sakura as home. I think it’s a great addition.
I think all the SS doujinshi artists handled Sasuke and Sakura as well as their relationship really well. They did a lot of references to special moments that occurred at the manga and I just… I really love it! I’m so happy and I feel special to be one of the people to own this anthology.
The only downside I can see is that they didn’t include any stories of Sasuke and Sakura getting married when in the cover of the anthology the main focus are adult Sasuke and Sakura wearing traditional wedding garbs. It’s a bit misleading and it’s kinda odd once you realise it but it’s probably just me.
I’d like to thank all the doujinshi artists who participated on this anthology. Everyone’s artworks and stories are well done; I know I didn’t post all of them because my laptop or the internet at the moment is taking awhile to fully load the pictures I took. They’re not great quality pictures either so I’ll probably take better ones later on, or if anyone asks.
Thank you for reading up to this point and checking out my post!! I’d honestly recommend every SasuSaku shippers to get this doujinshi because I think it’s worth it and it did well on “filling in the gaps” over what happened during the blank period. It goes to show how creative SS shippers really are :)

Akame halted his pawsteps when the young human addressed him, his ears giving a small twitch atop his head. So worried young ones always seemed when they saw a ganin without their summoner, or so it was in his experience with them, “Not lost, my young friend, merely waiting.”
The dog. just. talked. He talked. At least she presumed it was a ‘he’ since his voice seemed male... his voice. Sarada steps back and stare at the dog “What the hell?!”
“Well Orochimaru is my Parent…”
“You shouldn’t be giving a mother’s day present if it isn’t your mom. So they must be your mom.”
