Some beautiful and delicious pomegranates I saw while going through Campo de’ Fiori which is one of the most popular places in Rome. We went there for my photography class and I got so many great pictures but this was my favorite.

Every Wednesday my art sketching class meets up at amazing places to sketch. Last week we went to the Vatican, which was amazing, but we ended up sketching in the garden of a castle a few blocks away because St. Peter’s square was too crowded (but it was equally as gorgeous). Yesterday we sketched in the Piazza di Santa Maria in the heart of Trastevere. Afterwards, my professor decided to take us into the Basilica di Santa Maria and gave us an impromptu history lesson. It was amazing and I don’t think I’ll ever get used to living in such a beautiful country.

There’s so much to look at in Rome especially at night. Tents with food vendors line the sidewalks near the Tiber River in the summertime, and you can see many famous sites from the bridges.

It’s Almost Time...
Our summer has been filled with orientation (on-line and off-), visa appointments, & meeting each other. It’s time to start packing, saying “arrivederci” to family & friends, & putting passports in a safe spot. The next time you see us, we’ll be in the eternal city. Ciao for now!
