The face of last years edition, Young Troubled Minds, is putting out yet another project called “Short Daze Long Nights” (hence the title of the S.D.L.N. track on One Big Session). Yesterday they released the bonus track of the EP, called “6IX”. To no surprise, fans worldwide are already tuning in. The EP is set to release later this month.

This weekend, we tagged along Mrs. Traci William's Fall 2015 class on their Michigan trip. We went to the Jim Crow Museum, the Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History, and the Motown museum. This weekend was moving, inspiring, life-changing, and eye-opening to say the least.

Uhuru is very excited for the upcoming year!
Last year was a huge success for us! We put out a great magazine with amazing art, stories, and features that easily made its way around the entire campus. This year we have a new staff with a few returning members and from the looks of it, we can already tell that this year will be better than ever. We're so excited to see what this collective of minds is going to manifest in the near future. We have many goals for the 2015-2016 year starting with revamping our tumblr blog :)! We are also in the process of launching our online magazine/revamped website. We are SO excited for this!!! Along with the mentioned, without a doubt- we're working on our paper magazine as well that will be released at a later date. With the social and political movements of people of color, the cultural and cognitive expansion of collective consciousness, as well as the massive artistic wave sweeping our community as of right now, we are already overloaded with so many ranging story ideas that we can't wait to put out. Stay tuned :) this year is going to be one for the books... ....or magazines. Peace.
