allorekadeu:
Words of praise of the establishment, she nodded. Her parents had had good tastes, even heard some Ace of Diamonds had visited. If someone of that rank had gone, and spoke highly of it? Of course her parents were one of the ones to believe and follow suit of the other high rank Diamonds, or really any high rank. Allore was not so picky. Rank to her didn’t mean something was better, not people or establishments. But to keep face she stayed in the high ranked establishments like this one.
“I believe other high rank Diamonds have been coming, an ace even went. My parents are followers of the crowd.” She spoke and bit her lip a bit. She shouldn’t talk to much badly of her parents. What if someone told them? What if she got lowered rank wise? Shaking the thought from her mind Allore watched the man with her head in her hand. “It’s not my choice who I marry. It is their choice.” She said at his comment on just getting married. It was true, if she had a choice she would be with Asra right now, but there was no way her parents would ever except someone of his rank. Following tradition. Always.
Maybe that’s why she was coming off more confident. More flirtatious, was it the pain that wanted to push him out her mind and replace it with anything, anyone. It was only a quick thought that Allore shoved out her mind so hard it made her head seem to spin. The man spoke again after her question, forgetting almost that she had asked it, her mask for anyone but a select few on so strong there was no hint that she was deep in her own mind.
Right. He had asked her name, and she had never told him. Was it odd to say it now, or should she keep it a secret. You know what, I’m going to keep it a secret, she thought to herself. “If you must call me something, you can call me Allure.” It was a name she had been called before but not a name that would strike anyone specific. Her real name might. It was a close name but it felt nice to almost slip into another self for the night. A version of herself that could be sassy, have fun and relax. Maybe, just for once.
At his mention of the hearts and marrying him she giggled and looked at him from under her lashes slightly. “You’d have to put your name in the pot with my parents.” She had been teasing. Right? This man was a jack, her parents wouldn’t go for him unless he owned a higher rank establishment or something. However this man did not seem like the business man type to Allore. Even if he DID put his name in, there was a very slim chance her parents would choose him. But teasing about it was fun, she did admit. Something she hadn’t been able to do since they announced it, soon the flyer would be put out. Disgusting, her parents. Her face would be everywhere, How pissed would Asra be then?
Quickly shoving the thought out of her head she tilted her head at the mans offer.
The offer was one of a lifetime. Should she trust a stranger to get her to her studio safe when getting high for the first time? Of course not. However was she going to do it? Yes. She had been through so much as of late, she couldn’t pass up this opportunity. Not moving her hand from under his, just basking in the warmth. It was moments like these Allore remember how touch starved she was, and how she always pulled back. However there was nothing wrong with this. Even if her mother found out a man had his hand on hers she could say it was his was of consoling her. Easy.
“I’m going to hold you to that Sir.” She said with a smile, free of worry, free of all emotion but excitement. Taking the drink she drank it, She took a couple moments in between sips, drinking it at a quick, but not sickening or unladylike quickness.
Licking her finger once she set the glass down, a couple drops having landed on her fingertips. Her eyes closed for a moment. She wasn’t sure how long it would take to take effect. Opening her eyes she looked at the man next to her. “How long does it take?” She asked in a curious tone pulling her hand away to pull out the pins in her hair. Pulling thee last one, her black loacks falling down her bakc and over her shoulders. She hated how her mom did her buns, she made them too tight. Using her fingers to shake out her hair, releasing pressure to her head as she listened to the man speak.
She was ready to just have a relaxing night. Trusting a stranger to get her to her studio. Her parents were suppose to meet her at the front in a couple hours, she would just pay someone to tell them she went to her studio to finish some work and wished them a good night. Tonight she would have fun, she would relax, let chances come to her. Well to a certain extend. She may have been mad about asra and she may not want to wed. But that was the one thing she couldn’t do, be physical or emotionally connected to anyone.
Including this stranger, the bad influence of the night, but she was going to follow him and let him continue to influence her in the was she willing, and there were quite a few.
Ah, so Ujin would have Valentina to thank for the high ranking Diamonds giving him such favourable treatment. It seemed as though the incubus had a lot to be grateful when it came to the demon’s pull over his business’ recent success despite the low rankers and clubs seeming to avoid it recently. Quietly thinking to himself regarding the Ace, he’ll have to arrange to send the scary lady a token of his gratitude sometime soon. The challenge would be deciding upon something that actually exuded a compliment than the same typical boring thing, Ujin shouldn’t struggle too much in that department. He was anything but boring.
If her parents followed the trends and word of an Ace then it begged the question on what the girl thought of all that. The way she spoke led him to believe that she disproved of them acting like sheep because no one wanted to be called a follower regardless of how close it may be the truth. Alas that also meant that many people were in denial about their position in the world, Ujin was at least honest with himself enough to know he was no leader but he also wasn’t that much of a follower. Perhaps a black sheep?
“But are you much like your parents? In a place as fanciful as this, one could easily assume so but then again if they have left you here while they venture out to the Golden Faerie how can I make any guess at all?” Ujin began to ask, slowly descending into a ponder on if there were any clues at all to show what she was like.
Her parents would be picking her a marriage partner? Such lack of free will was completely unexpected for a Queen, although Ujin lived quite an overtly extravagant life even for a Jack so his perception of how people of high status should live it up was not always accurate. Sipping from his glass again, the incubus couldn’t help but wonder who in Kadeu could her parents be to have such a tight leash on their adult daughter’s every move.
“Allure? Seems like a fitting name for you.” He remarked, tasting the name on his lips as it rolled off his tongue.
Not bothering to ask if that was the name that the public gave him much like he’d been given the name Khaos or if that was the name her parents had given her, it didn’t really seem to matter as long as he had some name to call her by. The ones he had been using in his head were getting a little tired without any authentic identity behind them. His suggestion to marry her himself and unleash a world that she’d likely never be prepared for, earning a laugh from the woman had Ujin also chuckling.
“Since you are not discouraging me, perhaps we’ll see. Nothing much worse than trying and my throne is definitely worthy, depending on who’s checking. Then again, I’m not a very shy man so if they say no I could always steal you away.” Unabashed by his own suggestion though he was testing her reaction, he wasn’t scared off easily.
Moving his hand back from the petite human’s once she moved to enjoy her drink instead of sending it back to the bartender for something else much more tame. Yurei was a fast acting drug, Ujin could most easily compare it to marijuana though it took a second longer considering one was consuming the yurei than smoking it. Watching as she gave in and drank the concoction of champagne and yurei, there was a keenness to her actions in which he could tell that she has never taken any recreational drugs before.
“Not very long at all, I think you’ll find the drug will reach your head rather quickly.” Licking his own lips as he saw her lick the clear droplets from her fingers. “Tell me, is there something else that you’d like to do but your parents have never let you try?”
The way her long black hair cascaded down her back to join the single strand he had pushed back earlier and the soft tendrils framed her face, he thought that she almost seemed even more innocent now than before. Despite being more often than not a dark and dangerous man, Ujin would stand by his word and make sure that she would come home tonight (or tomorrow) safe and sound. That was yet another reason why he disliked humans so much, their weakness meant that they seemed so woeful that he often took pity upon them. She was no different, as though being human meant that was the reason why she was so closely guarded by others.
phoenixkadeu:
Slowly but strongly, the Academy was rising again, the attack that had occurred had only served to delay the natural progress of things, but in a place full of elementalists it was more than expected that the reconstruction would not take too long, especially when most students believed it had all been a cowardly move on the part of the resistance, for attacking the Academy on such an important day and when no one was prepared to fight back. But opinions can easily be ignored, and while Asra believes in facing the enemy while looking them in the eyes, he had immense respect for a well-constructed plan and especially those who were perfectly carried out. It had been a genius move, honestly, and for that very reason, he hadn’t moved a single finger to help get the Academy get itself together, choosing instead to appreciate the chaos and destruction.
Although The Academy’s first concern was to restore not restore the walls that had been taken down, there was always the concern of maintaining its honor and reputation, so a very selective group of students had been lucky enough to have already started training. The vast majority of fire elementalists had already returned to their normal training, as they were not that needed in the reconstruction project and Asra, being probably the least preferred student, had already a very busy schedule to manage.
This meant that today he had been beaten by a much older and more experienced earth elementalist, while the others were learning how to properly make a bonfire, Asra had received a broken nose and a headache, on his first day. But, he was already so used to this kind of things that they didn’t really bother him anymore, he at first used to think that it was all a punishment instead of proper teaching, he was obviously right, but the feeling of winning and seeing the irritated expression on his masters’ faces when he won made all that worth it. He just hated losing.
Today, he hadn’t won and so his mood wasn’t the best. His black and red uniform was torn in some places, and disgustingly dirty with a mixture of dust and blood, the black sash that held the fabric very tightly to the upper part of his body was now practically loose as he walked, any other student would certainly feel ashamed for wearing the uniform in such a dishonorable way, where everyone could see, but he didn’t care at all, he just couldn’t wait to be able to get home and clean up, he had important matters to deal with today outside the diamond territory.
The mocking tone in which Ujin decided to address him, made Asra look over his shoulder in his direction, rolled cigarette dangling from his lips as his eyebrow rose curiously, Ujin looked like he was in a very good mood, which was a very unusual thing to witness, unless he had just tortured someone or had a pretty girl sitting on his lap. “No, I’m done for the day” the blonde replied casually, turning around on his heels, and walking towards the pair, he could feel the gaze of Ujin’s companion on him, so he simply returned the gesture by looking straight at him, a trail of smoke leaving his nostrils after he had inhaled the substance, the slight twist of the man’s nose rose a bit of suspicion. Was he a shifter or a fox spirit, they had a good sense of smell, but none of that mattered - for now - Asra knew Ujin was known for his multiple pets. “That is my most valuable ass-et, reckon it could earn you a few coins at your little club?” Asra was joking of course, the smirk around his cigarette was playful enough, besides he absolutely despised the place, but he wasn’t about to pick up a fight just because of a silly name calling, he wasn’t a kid anymore.
He liked to believe that he was smarter than that, that he wasn’t one of those fire elementalists clichés, but some things were stronger than him. And one of those things was being waved in front of his face in the form of an intricate piece of paper, the loud sound of Ujin’s voice talking about a Queen was enough to get Asra’s attention.
“Give me that” it was a rude choice of words and an even more rude gesture, as he took the piece of paper from the incubi’s hands, tearing it apart and only being able to salvage half of it, but it was enough for his eyes to go wide. Half of a portrait of Allore’s figure was staring back at him, the intricate details around the edges of the paper were enough for Asra to know that this was legit, he didn’t need to read the rest of the message that was in Ujin’s hands to know exactly what this was about. “Is this a joke?” the cigarette was now between his fingers, his eyebrow furrowed in an angry expression as his eyes stared at the two men in front of him. “How did you get this?” he waved the paper, his hands shaking slightly as he thought about how many people had seen this and more importantly why was Ujin one of those people. “Stay away from her” he, however did not wait for Ujin’s answer, his bad temper showing itself quickly as he took a step forward, hand clutching the piece of paper slightly as the tip of his cigarette had already brushed against it, letting the low and still calm fire consume it slowly. He saw the other man taking another step towards him, probably in order to protect Ujin, but that only resulted in Asra head turning towards him, the healed scar on the right side of his face twisting with emotion as the words left his mouth. “both of you”
.
Smirking as the fire manipulator came over, Ujin’s little cat call hadn’t been intended to draw the man over there to him however he wouldn’t dismay the opportunity to tease him a bit. Turning around as well to look Asra head on, putting a halt to the conversation he was trying to have with his servant regarding the Diamond’s hand in marriage though the shifter was still scared that there will be consequences.
“Hm, you’re not the type the club goes for but I can think of better things to do with your ass than display it on a platter. Some high rankers would pay top dollar to peg that, if you clean it... Let me know as soon as you get sick of the Academy, Daddy Khaos can be your pimp and get you a decent wage.” He smirks.
Giving the poorly clad body within a tatted uniform a once over with his sharp yet dark gaze, Ujin was unimpressed with what he saw however he was sure a bit of cleaning up would make someone’s butterflies flutter. No where near as gorgeous as himself though, the pompous incubus thought to himself as he was dressed in black slacks and an open kimono robe, the upper garment saved from being too plain with expensive silk appliqués of shimmering red dragons.
If it were possible Ujin’s eyes lit up even more as the elementalist suddenly tried to snatch the paper from him but instead ended up ripping it down the middle. The action had been so unexpected for a split second the Jack was genuinely taken aback. Oh Asra, what a mistake!
There was a part of him that was annoyed by the fact that the paper had been ripped up now since he had been planning on displaying it somewhere within his club but the rage coming from the Club made up for it. Perhaps Ujin will find another and start a wager amongst some of his more favourable patrons and see who could win the beauty’s hand in marriage. As if things weren’t already quite interesting, now it seemed that they were even more so amusing.
“Oh, so you know this sweet thing?” Ujin asked sarcastically, the answer already provided within Asra’s tone. “Surprised you don’t already know about this, her advertisements seem to already be in the windows of all the high ranker shops. You are a Nine aren’t you? Go see for yourself, if the shop owners let you in.”
Asra really shouldn’t have reacted so passionately if he wanted the incubus to actually “stay away from her”. Not that hiding his reactions would have done him any good, able to taste the mana that wafted about the elementalist the powerful and well fed incubus could sense just how angry the blond was. Placing a hand on the shifter’s shoulder, Ujin pulled them back to stand next to him instead of trying to interfere with the hothead. If the Nine knew what was good for him he wouldn’t try to harm Ujin or his lackey, lest he wanted the incubus to take the advertisement seriously. Not that he wasn’t already extremely tempted to do so.
“When did you get to be so authoritative, trying to make my servant quake in his stylish yet disgustingly affordable boots? Please, as if he has any interest so back it up, Ass.” Saying the insulting nickname with more venom in his tone than before, Ujin didn’t appreciate that the Club was trying to square up with the Ten of Hearts for doing his job.
“You know, I don’t think I will stay away from her. She seems so innocent and... virginal.” Ujin concluded the last word with a small yet evil smile though the shifter at his side was pulling them another step back from Asra in fear of how the man would react to the Jack being so vulgar. “I think I might try my luck with her clan, if you care so much then she surely must be something quite special. A treasure that you couldn’t possibly be worthy of properly pleasing but do try and bring us a nice wedding gift.”
Actually highly doubting that the Kims would entertain his proposal, he was a lower rank than the clan of Queens and a prolific member of the red light district. Originally it had been a joke but now what’s wrong with trying? It seemed like sharing those assumptions with Asra wasn’t necessary when it was so obvious the Club wouldn’t have the sense to consider those facts.
acevalentina:
Valentina had known what would get the mans attention. Letting him “decide” as she tortured her staff and dismissed them. Of course she knew what his decision would come out to be. That was the reason she had called on him and not a higher Ace of hearts. People below her always had something to gain from making deals with her.
Plus, making a deal was always better then refusing her help? If she wasn’t going to “help” you. She would destroy you. She knew what taking the drug would do to Ujin’s place for his women. But not only threatening would work on someone of his rank. He needed…incentive. Something she could always provide.
As she harmed the staff lastly and sent them off she watched his face. He seemed pleased, his staff however seemed terrified of Valentinas act of violent rage.
Good.
Fear was much better than love anyway.
Finally receiving her new glass she asked Ujin if they had a deal. Taking a sip as her staff member wiped some blood off her cheek before backing away. They knew better than to clean the floor when business guests were here.
Listening to his answer as she crossed her legs and a wicked smile spread over her lips.
Of course he agreed. There was no other choice really and Valentina had made sure of that. People didn’t betray Valentina, and she chose very carefully about who she chose to make her dealings with. Even the powerful ones had some fear for her. Joui was probably the only one that didn’t fear her. Not just for her rank but her age. Her pull in EVERYTHING that happened in the Diamonds. Being part of the council. Well the oldest member. That of course gave her things no one else had. Power no one could have at this point. How could they beat her with her 2000+ years of getting to her place?
“I knew you were a smart man.” She spoke with her smile on her lips. “I was just going to be going to a party this weekend. high face ranks only of course. I will have to tell them about how amazing it was last time I went. That also means I will be coming with the delivery. They would know if I’ve never been there.” Sipping her wine, she knew what his fear was. “I also make a deal to not harm and of your girls or staff while I am there. I am sure you taught them manners anyway. I won’t be there for long, just long enough to get you the dorian and to give you a glowing review.”
Swirling her drink leaning on her hand as she watched the man. “Delivery is tomorrow to be on time, by sundown. I shall see you then no?” Smiling. She would have to hold her temper and not harm his women, she knew this. But she had some other ideas of how to get out her anger. On the ones that stole her men.
“I haven’t gotten high in a while. Maybe I’ll indulge in your establishment tomorrow.” It wasn’t often Valentina used her own supply or bought any drugs. Not that she didn’t enjoy them, she just knew people were waiting for moments where she was vulnerable. Little did they know it made her more likely to kill them if they tried to ruin her fun.
“Oh before you go. I know how hard it is to be sober. I have more meetings so I can not join in today.” Snapping for her staff, them bringing him a black velvet bag with jewels over it. Inside was some of each type of drug, she liked a variety when she liked to indulge.
“It’s on me. New partner.” A wicked smile spreading across her lips once again.
Sipping on his drink, he hadn’t finished it yet and was planning on making the whiskey last his visit. Like music to his ears, he was impressed with how she had already thought this out so there was no need for planning or requests on his end for how she was going to help him. Now he had to do his end of the deal and Ujin supposed that Valentina would want to know something about what he was going to do in order to fulfil his end of the deal.
“Sounds like you have this already planned out, impressive. Then I will be finding those who are taking your men. I have plenty of drug dealers working in and outside of the club pushing product, if anyone knows who’s taking your men then it’ll be them. When I find them do you want them dead or alive, or are we past that and I’ll just send you a finger for every man caught?” Brow raised suggestively, the latter seemed her style however knowing the Ace, she’d likely want to take out her rage on them herself.
“Please, shall we keep this cordial? Considering we are here to find your staff, let’s not pretend you’re making me a deal to hold back on hurting my girls or staff.” Face remaining stoic, this was a rare moment where Ujin was being polite when pissed off.
The woman had certainly touched a sensitive subject for Ujin without really needing to. He’s known Valentina to be harsh and reckless but not flagrantly rude. No, Ujin was not going back out of the deal she had offered him since he did want to help his business flourish once more but if she wanted to consider him an ally then he would need a little bit of respect for what matters most to him. While people liked to undermine him for whatever reason bothered them the most, he’s heard a few of them, Ujin was not someone who should be so easily estimated. Soon enough the Ace’s staff will be back in her hands if they are still alive, and she could hurt them any way that she wanted to.
Not getting high in a while? The Jack didn’t think he’d be pitying an Ace but here he was, he couldn’t see any reason as to why anyone would avoid getting high unless they had some kind of health issue. Eying the bag of mixed drug laid out in front of him, it was nothing that Ujin couldn’t get at home and he didn’t partake in Chrono or Stallion so part of it was useless to him. However that was not the problem for the man, her action was easily perceived as an insult no matter if it were not intended to. He was Heart, a wealthy one at that or had she forgotten that? Members of the faction looked down upon accepting a gift so easily obtainable for themselves, her promoting his business was not the same thing since Ujin would be doing something in return.
“Partners indeed Valentina but I shall pay you for my own enjoyment.” From behind Ujin’s lackey handed him a pouch with coins so the incubus could place down on the table the appropriate amount to pay what he thought was more than the bag’s worth.
“Is there any way for me to convince you otherwise? If you are not participating then it’s not as much fun but otherwise I will be waiting for you tomorrow.” He asked, putting one of the cigarettes loosely between his lips without yet lighting it.
The conversation seemed as though it was coming to an end but it had been a quick yet effective reminder of why he had been so reluctant to respond to her invite, it was all business with her. What Aces and Diamonds got up to had been of little use to Ujin but he hadn’t regretted taking up her offer. An opportunity such as this with Valentina was rare, he could see more to come if this went well.
「 Downtown Diamond Territory; Time for a Wedding? 」.
⤷ @phoenixkadeu
Within the long yet strong fingers of the incubus was a message that was rather exciting news, the crisp whiteness of thick paper with embossed lettering felt right coming from a high-ranking Diamond family. Having met Allore Kim before, the human girl was utterly priceless by Ujin’s standards. All he knew she was unwed and apparently her parents held standards as to what a woman could do without a companion but he had not expected that they would be so keen to marry her off that there would be an advertisement to show off her
Walking on foot, while on his way to the Diamond faction’s downtown the incubus had decided to step outside of his personal carriage and do a bit of window shopping for the lesser popular little boutiques to see if there was any hidden gems. While he may have not found anything worth purchasing, the Jack was pleasantly pleased when he saw the advertisement sitting in one of the windows. Not alone, Ujin was accompanied with a shifter Ten of Hearts that he kept around with him as a most trusted confidant and personal servant.
“Aw look at how cute she is.” He cooed sarcastically while showing the Ten the illustration attached, all the while the incubus wore an expression of delectation. “Perhaps I should contact the Kims myself and toss the Yi name into the ring.”
“Khaos, are you sure that’s wise?” The Ten asked hesitantly with eyes darting about their surroundings as though to check who was listening in or not, his fidgety nervousness was ever present as usual whenever Ujin was being too loud.
Many would think how a strange a relationship it was that Ujin kept his lackey so close when they had no backbone of their own but that was what the incubus liked about the Ten. Having picked them up off the streets of the Hearts, Khaos didn’t normally hire males but he could see what potential a shifter could do once refined properly. It did also help that where Myeong Jae lacked in bravery he made up for it in strength and possessed something Ujin definitely did not; a voice of reason.
“Honestly Myeong Jae, who cares if it’s wise? It’s fun. Do shut up or turn yourself into something useful and let me enjoy this.” Ujin snapped back, hating it that he was being chastised for pushing a bit of fun. “Besides, the little miss Queen would be fun to break in.”
Noticing a mop of caramel blonde hair about to cross paths with them, Kadeu was filled with familiar faces however Ujin loved remembering the more sensitive ones. Knowing the hot head well for his... well, hot headedness, Ujin had no waver in his knees seeing them.
“Ass-Ra, no more piggies houses to burn down?” He called out still carelessly flourishing the paper in his hand, the Jack then proceeded to ignore the man as though he never saw him and continued his conversation of how much fun the Queen could offer.
allorekadeu:
It was his attitude. Never had she met such a bold Jack. Every jack she met however had been different. In between the numbers and beginning of the faces was probably an odd spot to be, she thought as her gaxe feel from his mark to his face as he introduced himself.
He’s not human.
That much, Allore knew, it was in his mood. Maybe a fae? Or concubine? Allore watched as she said his name in her head, staring at his face. Making a mental note on the name and the face attached to the name.
“Ah, My parents are at Golden Fae, they had heard it’s been going up in class by some face ranks so they went and left me here.” Swinging her feet under her dress unnoticeable as she spoke. “However it wouldn’t be lady like for me to go since I am unwed.” She said placing her cheek into her hand leaning on the counter. “And why are you here alone? You look like you have women dripping off you.”
She wasn’t trying to flirt but it seemed to come across that way in her face. Her smile full of emotions that could only be read as such.
It wasn’t long when the drinks came and Allore was staring at the drink still when Ujins voice cut through her thought process. It was a simple question but not as simple to answer.
The flecks of Yurei floated as if sparkling. Of course she wanted to try it. However, she would be going home with her parents. And her mother seeing her high? Out of the question. “I have never had a drug touch my lips. And going home to my mother high is kind of a terrifying idea. She does not approve of…hearts methods?”
Looking at the drink. “If only I had a carriage of my own to get to my studio after.” Sighing. “Guess I should order something else.” She said as she was about to raise he hand setting down the drug filled liquid.
Ujin didn’t know what he expected to hear from the Queen but certainly not that she was still being lugged about to follow her parents’ every move. Surely she wasn’t that young, his perception of human ages was not very astute but he could at least tell who was an adult around here. Hearing the name of his own business be spoken of in a positive manner by someone who didn’t seem to know Ujin was the owner, was rather pleasing so he refrained from saying something discouraging. If she didn’t know who Ujin was then he’d keep it that way for as long as he could because things were more interesting when people had their guards down without any preconceived ideas aside from the unavoidable face value.
“Hm, The Golden Faerie? I’ve heard that place is quite exquisite. Interesting that your parents would go there.” Fighting back a smirk trying to pul on his lips, he wasn’t sure if the owner’s reputation precedes him or not in whatever corner of the realm she was from.
“If you were wed would you really think your husband or wife would want you at the Golden Faerie or anywhere near the red light district? But if you need to get married to ditch your parents and enjoy the pleasurable things in life then why don’t you?” Brow raised questioningly as he took a sip from his drink, Ujin was unsure on whether this kind of custom was a common practice between humans or she was some kind of special case.
Unable to tell if she was actually flirting with him or just seeming like she was, he didn’t think she’d have it in her to be so forward however he did. Ujin leaned closer in his seat to the girl, close enough that he could get a good whiff of the mana surrounding her. He wasn’t afraid to be openly flirting with her even if she were not with him, his flirtatious nature with women was always intentional.
“Perhaps I’m here alone looking for someone as interesting as you. A mysterious girl who won’t tell me her name and sounds more like a princess trapped in a tower than a real person.” Using a single finger he brushed a strand of her dark hair behind her shoulder without actually touching her skin before leaning back in his seat again.
Letting out a short burst of laughter, it was always so amusing when people disproved of the Hearts methods when he lived by them like a picture perfect citizen. Who knew that this girl would be so entertaining with just a few words? Ujin definitely didn’t regret approaching her now.
“Psh, the Hearts just believe in having fun. How about we just ditch your mum, she doesn’t have to know. If life for you is predestined to getting trapped in wedlock and staying straight laced then that’s pretty sad living. You should marry me, I’ll definitely give you a good whirl of what’s good about life before your time comes.“ Winking afterwards, the incubus chuckled at the idea alone of marrying a complete stranger.
As morbid as the latter part of what he said seemed the life expectancy of a concubi was much longer than a human’s was, Ujin was only joking anyways he doubted a delicate little human could survive being around him for too long. However it didn’t even seem that crazy that he wouldn’t do it, it didn’t even really matter if they didn’t know each other at all Ujin was the reckless type of person that would get married just for one night of fun and the drama alone. Placing his hand over her smaller one, he stopped her from raising her hand to order a different drink from the barkeep.
“Drink. I’ll let you ride my carriage to wherever you want to go.” Much more stated than offered, the rich deep tones of the man’s voice could either come across as foreboding or inviting depending on how the Queen person viewed him.
junganton:
Wiping the chrono from his armor, the disgust flashed to shock when the club owner offered to buy him a ‘night with a nice man or woman from the Red Dragon’. The Club knew such things were likely common offerings to lowranking Heats but the fact that this man thought he might accept sex over a platinum piece was almost… disgusting? He didn’t know exactly what feeling roiled in his gut but he did know it wasn’t positive.
“I don’t know much,” he replied stiffly, looking for a place to throw the newly-soiled chrono rag. “They both have knives buried in their thighs in an alleyway about twenty or thirty minutes run from here. Clubs, one man one woman. The woman was also a chrono user,” here Anton’s gaze shifts to the redheaded Fae, his expression a mixture of pity and disgust. Using his free hand he gently pries her fingers from his armor despite murmurings he thinks may be protests.
Once he’s freed Shade moves to a small trashcan near the entrance he’d walked through and throws the rag away, wiping his hand on his pant leg. Turning back towards the Golden Faerie owner the Strongarm eyes him warily. “Honestly, if you get that one patched up you’ll get a better description of their faces,” he gestures towards the drugged Fae. “ I’ll not help you murder the one’s who’ve done it but I’ll show you where I found her if you like. If they’re alive I doubt they’ll still be there but maybe you can… I don’t know, hire a sniffer or something.”
Shifters and Gumihos would be of more use here than Anton, despite the fact that the Club had seen the assailants. Supernaturals like that would be able to track the blood he’d spilled in the alleyway if they were good enough - assuming the potent smell of the chrono didn’t overwhelm their senses.
Silently hoping the Jack would allow him to leave, Shade stood by the doorway quietly eyeing the other.
Seeing as his extremely kind offer went unacknowledged by the man, Ujin could only assume that he was being declined. Pitiful. It wasn’t a bad offer either when it came from a man of taste who only choses the best, he would’ve gotten someone quite high bred and nice. Tsk, so it seems that beggars can be choosers.
Please, he was a Heart. As much as he didn’t like the idea of people touching what was his, he wasn’t about to risk his hide for a fae that likely sought out drugs against his rules. Clubs were notorious for liking to fight too, that was how they rose in the ranks after all so Ujin’s pocketknife would only dig so deep before he found himself stabbed twenty times more and deeper. What good would it do to be shown where the dancer was attacked if this solider of some type was unwilling to help or even be bribed.
“Alright... I guess I’ll just figure it out myself.” Ujin decided firmly, having no interest in getting into a fight all on his own against two Clubs. “Thinking about murder isn’t useful without a proper plan.”
Sadly if the male wasn’t going to enjoy the kindness offered from the club owner or help him seek revenge then Ujin wasn’t quite interested in entertaining the male’s stay for much longer. The Jack had more pressing matters at hand as he moved closer to the drugged out Fae, the sounds she made didn’t remind him so much of giggles anymore. It seemed as though the darkly clothed man didn’t want to stay either, the way they stood was indication enough of that fact.
“Before you go, if you change your mind later the offer still stands.” Ujin reminds him, doubting that the male will ever decide to come back and cash in on the favour from the incubus. “Consider it I owe you a one.”
Turning his back, Ujin began tending to the red haired fae as though she were the only person in the world right now. Whether they were in her final moments or not, once the sun came up the Jack was going to be pretty pissed off. Girls came and went for a multitude of reasons however he hated it the most when they died on his watch, especially when they were going against the rules he put in place specifically to prevent this from happening.

peachestpeachatkadeux:
Peaches couldn’t believe the words she was hearing. A business he wanted to give to her? She couldn’t understand why. Surely, he had been more than generous with her, allowing her to live a life that she did and perhaps, her rank within the society too, which was more than enough to give her a decent status. And though she understood his feelings for her, she never thought he’d be so generous towards her. “Why would you do that?” she wondered, a confused expression adorning her soft features. Did he trust her that much? Suddenly, she felt her confidence crumble realizing how damaged he had left her be. Even when she knew that there was no one more experienced than her who could do a great job at taking over the business. Peaches was the best asset the Golden Faerie had to offer, but she was also the best companion one could have, over the years, studying every decision Ujin had made, every achievement and the tiny percentage of failure. Yet, she hesitated, feeling unsure.
“I mean I am –grateful that you are thinking of that, I just-” she hesitated, wanting to carefully choose her words. “never thought you’d allow me to be more independent that way” she said. The truth was, she recently started to believe that she’d spend long years of her Fae life slowly aging in the club as a dancer until no one wanted to see her anymore. And though her imagination took her to other places, she truly believed she’d suffer one of those miserable deaths that most girls in the business did. No matter her love for Ujin, she knew that things wouldn’t be as easy as she made them to be in her mind.
Lips pressing to his, she kissed him softly, indulging in the softness of them and the taste of his mouth that she was so addicted to. Peaches couldn’t help but pout against his lush pair, “I don’t like it when you sleep around with other girls. And when you do, they think they can undermine my status by making sure to let me know they were in your bed the night before” a soft whine, and she was the more innocent and child like version of herself. “I am more annoyed than I am jealous-” then, she admitted albeit not the whole truth.
Peaches leaned to nuzzle his neck and leave kisses across his shoulders, she had no intention of attempting to ink him. She just wanted an excuse to have him in her arms and in between her legs once more, for a quiet night in where they could love and caress each other until their desires took over once more.
Wanting to see if he uncaged the little bird he held so dearly would she come back or fly away, never to return again? The latter put a sinking feeling deep into the pit of Ujin’s stomach. The Golden Faerie could thrive without her, they did in the past before Peach got there and Ujin was more than confident they could do it again. But would he? Thrive? No, making this risk would be good for him at either end of the possible results, he would unveil the truth behind their “relationship” and learn how to deal with it then.
“Because... why not? You’ve been by my side for so long, I can’t imagine someone better than you when it comes to this task. As much as I want you to be mine always, I don’t know how much that can mean if I control so much about your life.” Revealing a small vulnerable piece of him, it didn’t bother him so much if the other girls didn’t actually like Ujin as much as they said they did but Peach was different. “So this is me offering to give you your freedom and help you along the way.”
Doubt began to swim in Ujin’s head as she questioned him as to why he would offer her such a thing. He knew why but was it a totally crazy, stupid idea? Yes, probably. The incubus couldn’t think of many others doing something like this however Ujin strived off of being the crazy one in any demographic he belonged to. Finding the words was proving to be difficult, he was completely unsure of what would be the right thing to say. Having a a knack for insulting people without even intending to was normally fine by him but he was trying very hard to be delicate right now.
Giving her a way out, there was no harm done if she did turn him down, things would simply remain the same as always. “If you don’t want to then I can do it alone but I would enjoy sharing this with you.”
Chasing her lips with his, Ujin kept his hold on her as his body turned them slightly so he could lie with his back on the bed and pull her onto his chest. Careful of her shoulder while pulling the silk sheets over their waists, being with Peach was making him him incredibly soft hearted. Hearing her whining, Ujin chalked it up to rivalry when she said she didn’t like him sleeping around because there wasn’t much he could do to help it for his own wellbeing as an incubus. Unless she would rather they tested the limits of a fae constantly being fed on by an incubus with only one mana source, something he wasn’t so open to the idea of.
“If you don’t like it then should we use another bed, or I use another one with them? But you must tell me which ones are intentionally making you feel that way, Peach.” He demanded to know his eyes narrowing as though to search for an answer within her gentle gaze, a small flare of annoyance rearing itself within Ujin’s mood.
Tucking a strand of her honeyed locks behind her pointed ear as she kissed along his shoulder, he’d punish those dancers accordingly for putting a frown upon Peach’s face. Normally he didn’t mind a bit of competition within the workplace, it made good encouragement for the girls to try harder to get into their boss’ good graces and make more money for everyone. However he didn’t realise he needed to make it official that any attempt to come between Ujin and Peaches was useless and futile. He found the fact that they were trying to par up against the woman to be completely ridiculous.
ara-kadeu:
Ara allowed a laugh to escape her lips at Ujin’s imagined scene. She knew that he had an affinity for more gory and salacious stories, but the truth was she just didn’t have any of those for him this time. She took a sip of her drink before shrugging her shoulders at his disappointment.
“My apologies for disappointing you, Ujin. We actually have a new theatre manager who is much more strict than the last. Still enforces the old general rules, of course, but has also placed some new ones. And is very strict with actor and actor, or actor and director fraternization.” She took another sip as she watched the girl’s hips sway. “Basically, he’s no fun.”
With the last of her words, she gave the man a playful smile. Turning back to the dancer in front of them, she took a slow drink of the drugged whiskey while the Jack thought of which story he thought she wanted to hear. She wasn’t looking for anything in particular; this wasn’t a mission trip that Valentina had sent her on. Ara just simply enjoyed hearing the gossip. She knew these particular streets were positively oozing with all sorts of scandals; so she was interested in knowing which one Ujin would pick for her tonight.
“The Choi’s? Bankrupt?” Now that was interesting. She actually had been to that strip club before. Not that she had gone there before on her own, she had been with a sort of group outing for some highrankers from the theatre. Surely it hadn’t been that long ago though.. They seemed to be doing fine when she was last there.
“Are you sure it’s that they are going bankrupt? Could it not simply be a defiant daughter looking to tarnish the family’s name by trying for a position with the family’s biggest rival?” Ara had know defiant daughters in her life. Hell, she was one. Her smile grew as she looked at the Jack. “Did you hire her? I might be genuinely disappointed if you didn’t.” Her head tilted, but her smile was still wide as he mentioned their impending Bad Luck. “What are you going to do?”
“How tough that must be for you. My condolences about the director.” Sarcasm laced his words albeit Ujin did pity the thought of a strict workplace. “Shall I send someone there to seduce him? I often find people who are strict like that just need some sweet release.”
Boring people were the bane of Ujin’s existence. Either because they were no fun to be around or because they wanted him to be no fun. Both were pretty shitty in the eyes of the incubus, himself wishing that he could rid the world of such tiresome people. They were the ones that wanted him to be less violent, money hungry, and sexual. Basically shed himself of any identity he had.
Unable to hold back a small chuckle while talking about the Choi’s demise, he could tell that the rookie dancer was getting a little unsure of herself because Ujin had laughed. To comfort the girl, the male raised his drink to her so she knew that she was doing a fine job before resuming discussion with Ara.
“That’s what my first thought was as well but you wouldn’t think so once you see what’s on her wrists. Sad girl tried to insist upon stripping with her gloves still on.” Implying that the ranking that was once high on the deck of cards had fallen, it was quite impressive how the clan had managed to hide it for so long.
“Please, do I seem crazy to you?” He retorted with a scoff feigning offence to her question, the irony in his words was obvious because many would say yes, yes he does seem crazy. “Of course I hired her, do you want to go see? For tonight only because you are my special guest, I’ll let you touch her if you want. She’s quite the firecracker in bed, might I add.”
Daughter of a rival meant that Ujin had yet to really feel any kind of possession over the girl, she still felt like she belonged to someone else however he sure was having his fun so far with her.
Smirking at her question, it seemed as though he did have the Queen’s curiosity now. “My my, Ara. I think I’ll just have to leave you guessing. Perhaps the next update in the Deck will tell you.”
peachestpeachatkadeux:
Peaches remained in silence for most of the portion of the process, yet the silence was broken when she heard his words. A piece of her long sunk into the depths of an ocean that was the inner workings of her being. Should she tell him and bring forth the touchy subject once more? That the only thing she craved was his heart and the idea that she was only his. And though he saw a version of her vision on his own terms, she hesitated to reveal him the cracks in it that ate at her own soul. So, Peaches was left at a dilemma, one that she hated with her being. But as seconds past, the silence began to feel heavier bringing her down with its own weight. “I want an emerald necklace then- I want the stone to be so big that it would feel heavy around my neck” she simply said. Again, pleasing her lover was the only thing she truly knew how to do . “Do you think you can give me that?” she asked, cheerfully almost as if trying to prevent herself from falling. Though she wouldn’t deny that it had been a while since she had received a shiny toy as a sign of his care, and affection. This was her usual way out, the thought of ‘might as well indulge in life’s pleasures’ because, wasn’t it the truth that if it wasn’t for him, she’d be living a life of misery? And there he was giving her everything she wanted, allowing her to live like a high-ranker within the walls of his mansion. A life that she never thought she’d have within Kadeu but one he was generous enough to give and maybe, that was why she was staying because deep down, she felt his version of ‘love’ that came in form of acts of service.
The relief that washed over the piece of skin that was now marked forever when he applied the ointment made her close her eyes and sigh. The balm itself acting like a calming agent, numbing her receptors to any kind of pain. “I was talking about them, your other lovers” she teased, “And I hope they would know by now, that you are mine as much as I am yours” and that was who she was, the romantic side of her failed to recognize that he branded her, literally. That he trapped her forever in this ocean where she was left swimming alone, unable to see the repercussions that came with it , if there were any. But, seeing the act as one of love and possession instead.
And when he pulled away, she slowly got on her knees, allowing her long hair to cover her breasts, and she held on to his free hand, pulling him into a soft kiss, with a teasing look on her face, “Is it my turn?” she teased, as innocently as she could, however, already guessing what his answer would be. But if that allowed her to be closer to him and pull him back into her arms, she didn’t mind getting any sort of reaction out of him.
.
“I can arrange that. Jewels are no problem, my sweet.” Ujin promised, a wicked idea coming to mind. “An emerald necklace and... how about something more fulfilling?”
One might ask, what could be better than an emerald? A business was. Knowing that the Choi clan that owned one of the competing strip clubs was going bankrupt due to the Golden Faerie’s rise in popularity with high rankers, it was only a matter of time before the Hearts would drop so far in rank that they’d give their club away for an amount less than quarter of it’s value. Right now Ujin could think of a few ways that he could speed up that process with some of his usual underhanded tactics.
“Do you want to be your own boss? I have this idea about buying another club but I want to give it to you. Only if you want to...” Hesitant in his offer, the male knew he would be risking a lot for her and his own emotional security.
Monetary wise, he would be the benefactor and given how tightly associated the two were with each other, should this fail then it could look badly on them both. Miraculously he trusted that Peach could do this if she wanted to, she certainly had enough experience within the club and around Ujin that it shouldn’t be so hard for her to come up with a smart business plan. He would definitely help her every step of the way, see to it that they both benefitted hugely. Ujin already did see Peaches as more than just a dancer under his care however he would like to see her thrive as well, let it be known by everyone else that she was more as well. Giving this much freedom was unheard of from Ujin, he’d very much realised that Peach could leave him at any time for another lover if she didn’t work for him. Yet he was willing to test that, to see if what whatever they had was real. Maybe this willingness to take a risk was because he so recently had felt the threat that the fae could leave him at any time and he’d lose what he thought was unconditional love from her.
Truly he was dense to Peaches’ feelings, having thought that making her his very favourite meant that the she would have nothing to worry about ever. In the eyes of everyone at the club she was practically his wife as it were.
“Mmm but they’re always jealous of you. Why, if I didn’t know any better I’d think you’re jealous of them.” He joked with an incredulous chuckle, having not known anyone to be jealous of him and the sexual relationships he held with the multiple women that worked for him.
“Depends... Are you as good as me at tattooing?” He teased her right back, assuming that she certainly wouldn’t be. As she drew him in for a kiss, arms moving around her petite waist to pull Peach in closer against him. Despite only joking, if Ujin had any faith that Peach did have some tattooing skills then he would’ve said yes. Small writing of the word and name “Peach” would fit well on his hip bone, his pale skin otherwise completely unmarked from any ink aside from the ranking on his wrist.
zuihuojoui:
The manner in how the Ace traveled, butler, attendant, and servants, never a testament of trust but simply tradition and the intricate rankings of whom could do what. Well before his passing into Kadeu, this was how he and his clan were attended to. The trust he had for the Sucubi was clear as he was there, not a proxy. The years bonded with their similar interests did have meaning.
The Ace nodded a thanks to the compliment. He did love Yurei, the accidental creation of the illusion masters and nature. It really should have been harmful to non-Fae, given its properties. Yet it wasn’t, not really. Perhaps it was eating the brains of the humans who grew attached to the birthed fantasies. Perhaps long term effects of extensive use would leave the humans more foolish than their normal state. None of these hypotheticals were a concern. What greatness would such limited creatures accomplish anyway. It was a service, providing an escape from the pained experience of inferiority.
Ujin’s expression viewing the vision inducing substances did remind Joui his friend was a bit of an addict. Given his mana consumption the hypothetical effects wouldn’t affect him, just a side-effect free high. The preferred source of his mana intake, that was something the Ace had an interesting view of. Why his own kind would leave the realm and allow themselves to be essentially fed on, he figured must involve some pleasure. The question of it, passed his mind a few times. The eternal boredom and curiosity of the Fae was always wrapped in the answers he assumed, his own curiosity pondering the situation.
That and the Fae women themselves. He might have been uninterested in the one sided game they offered but his own vice was ever present here and as most things associated with the High Fae, there was a hierarchy. Human women were fine, yes, he did enjoy women, regardless of species, but Fae women, there was a higher level of attraction there. It’s why his eyes lingered on that dancer, letting her be well aware of his gaze. He could enjoy the view with interests of a different sort of game altogether.
But then again his friend’s claim over the ladies did prevent any of that. That he understood. It was one of the many traits they shared. So his occasional glance alone could be offered.
He nodded, briefly looking to his attending butler, at the mention of the original order for the club. He had already began taking note. “Same shipment. You can move both, at same levels yes?” he added then looked to the two pills offered as samples.
Chuckling he answered,“They offer nothing to me unfortunately”, he said tapping over his right leg. “The properties don’t quite come together the same way in my system”, he added. That and his clan, as happy as they were to see the masses float on their creation, only enjoyed it for the ease it aligned with their own desires, a substance invoking illusions to illusion masters offered no excitement . “But feel free to enjoy it. They are samples. You’re the client, let me know.”
He looked to his servant, “But I will take a drink and if we really want to test this special blend”, he began looking back to his friend, “I’ll deepen whatever vision it blesses you with”, he teased, eyes shifting to gold with a blink, then back to their hazel hue with another. “Or, you can tell me why they are lowly Spades running around my territory spewing hatred of your business in some attempt at a boycott?” Fingers tapping along his thigh he thought of the report he received, “I do have certain plans in place that I would rather not push to a start before things align just right.”
Taking a look at the butler as well that was writing down Ujin’s order for the club, he agreed with Joui’s question. “Yes, same shipment for both types. No issue there.” Half the allure of the club had to be just how wickedly fun the atmosphere was when high, so if the golden yurei really was as good as Joui stated then the Ace may see an even bigger increase in orders from the incubus.
Now that the more official side of things had been glazed over with ease, they could get to what was fun about the Ace’s visits. Guard lowered the Jack’s demeanour from what his attempt would be at a more serious business transaction to a more friendly one, Joui did know him extremely well so keeping up false appearances was difficult. Opening the small packet to take out one of the golden gleamed pills and put it on his tongue, placing Ujin left the other inside the bag and placed it onto the golden framed glass table in front of him for now. Swallowing the pill dry, the little disc caused a short lived lump in his throat.
“Mm, right. So I keep forgetting, that really is a shame.” The mistake genuine, he was so wrapped up in his own addictions that he forgets that it’s not as common as Ujin thinks it is but there was a reason why the Jack didn’t have a lit blunt between his fingers right now while during their meeting, it was just the consideration had become so normal that it went without thought.
Those that the Jack usually surrounded himself with were the dancing women that worked for the Faerie. The many of the girls that were faes didn’t have the same level of powers as a high fae like Joui, them all fairly low ranking upon arrival yet he treated them like his own personal treasures. That was probably the reason why his girls liked working (and doing more) for Ujin, he did more for them than just feed from them. Consent based immense pleasure aside, the women were spoiled with riches beyond what most of them wouldn’t’ve been able to even imagine, and they were all granted the best of what Ujin could give akin to freedom and a strong semblance of protection at any given time regardless on how high their place was on his list of favouritism. The biggest downfall was the lack of sexual freedom, his jealousy meant that while they could always choose not to be his lover, they would never be allowed to be someone else’s either.
Hearing that the Spades had been speaking on trying to ruin the reputation of his business, it certainly put a damper on Ujin’s previously elated mood. He’d have thought the gossip wouldn’t go much further than the lowly ranked members of the military themed faction. Didn’t they have better things to do?
“My actions were not without reason but I guess you don’t get called Khaos for nothing. Those fuckers can’t keep their mouths shut, and everyone thinks that I’m the petty one...” Scoffing incredulously, his eyes rolled in annoyance that this stupid gossip even reached Joui.
“Pray tell brother, plans hm? Plans that would help the club or plans that would require for me to mend things with Spades?” Intrigued yet skeptical, Ujin was pretty fucking sick of the Spades as of late so it would take a lot for him to be talked out of acting with vehement hatred the next time he caught one mouthing off his establishment.
Curious as to what his words meant, it was nice to sometimes be in the loop as to what should be expected next within the realm instead of reading blasphemous crap in the Deck that he could only toss a fifty-fifty chance that the outrageous embellishments added to every story had some semblance to the truth. While Joui was the Ace of his faction and closely resembled a friend to Ujin, the incubus wouldn’t drop a grudge for anything. Not without a really good incentive first.
However... Ujin was much more willing to consider and accept Joui’s requests, remembering that the relationship between them was not only mutually beneficial but also enjoyable. Lest he wouldn’t forget either the respect as well that Joui had to not touch Ujin’s dancers despite how much he knew the male also loved his taste of the pie from a fae woman. Getting up from his seat, Ujin moved to the door of the private meeting room to speak with the member of his staff that had moved to guard the door accordingly once the Zuihuo entourage had arrived.
“Drink for the lackeys too?” He asked with a second thought to look back at the Ace, lacking any eloquence when it came to referring to the help though it was just how Ujin talked and not meant as an insult.

@ujin-khaos
Even though Ujin could not bring himself to say the words (and no one should ever expect him to be cause he won’t, ever) it somehow seemed to be enough for Peach. Miraculously so, the last thing that the man wanted right now was to actually lose her, something that for a quick moment there he’d actually been afraid of. When she was the only person that he’s ever cared about beyond face value, it becomes difficult to convince himself that she can just be replaced like everyone else in his life. Ujin had thought that he’d made extremely special value to him clear to Peaches, her every heart’s desire fulfilled without hesitation. He never thought that she would want “love” from him too, why would she when he gave her something better? Money and companionship.
Gaze meeting hers, Ujin knew that right now Peaches could see a side to him that no one else has ever seen before even though he was not going to say anything. He forbade that anyone else ever would see him this way, even if by chance she passed long before he did, the otherwise cold and hate-filled incubus would fail to feel this way again. Lucky she was the immortal one, hm? He felt disturbingly human allowing his more sensitive emotions to actually have an impact on him right now. The fae’s words were not far from the truth, in fact she was completely right in saying that no one will ever love him as much as she does. No one else will love him, period. A reality that should cause him visceral pain however Ujin accepted it as it had been his fate to never be cast an adoring look, Peach was an abnormally he could’ve never predicted.
Had she forgotten the emotional rollercoaster she had felt minutes before? Or had she forgotten the conflict she found herself in? Torn between his love and her heart’s desires. But that was what he did to her; in a moment, all was forgotten and now they found themselves, minutes away from the mess but in the arms of the gods of love and pleasure. And that was why Peaches welcomed his touch, the one she loved so much, the one she begged for and yearned for every day of her existence.
Sliding the fabric of her glittery dress up and above her head before her hands became occupied with other things, Ujin’s need for skin on skin was becoming urgent. He also needed to be sure that his overexcitement doesn’t end up with him ruining her dress beyond being able to put it back on before they leave, a statement that many of her clothes and lingerie in the past could attest to. Instead of having a cry about his feelings (the incubus never cries) he preferred to fuck them away, and he was emotionally vulnerable right now despite how he may seem on the outside. A part of Ujin had begun to fear that he was actually going to lose the fae and that was something he’d never before thought would happen, knowing how much Peach adored him.

Her mother hearing from some higher up in the Diamonds of some clubs and casinos in the heart area. The Golden Fae was where her father and mother were currently was talked highly of by people like the ace Valentina which was enough for them.. Letting Allore go off by herself she ended up in the casino at the bar. Sitting slowly she swept her yellow dress under the bar sitting delicately on the seat.
“Champagne please.” She asked receiving the drug free drink. Sipping the sweet liquid, feeling it warm her insides as it made its way to her stomach. Swirling the drink she watched the small bubbles rise as she sat in deep thought. Probably not the safest place to space out, however Allore was so in her head as of late it was hard for her to not start sinking into her own thoughts. Allore hadn’t even noticed she finished off her glass until she noticed she was no longer watching the bubbles rise in the glass.
It contorted her face to looked confused or even troubled most likely to others. Looking up about to order another when the voice spoke before she saw the owner of the voice.
Turning towards the voice slowly she saw the fae, the aura around him seemed….dangerous?
Looking around before making a decision, it wasn’t very like her but she needed a distraction so she wouldn’t start sinking into her own mind again. “You know….I’ll take you up on that. Another glass of champagne please.” Still not asking for the drug everyone here seemed to be happy and high on. “So, may I know you’re name?” She said turning as the bartender left to make the drinks. Noticing his inked j on his wrist. Allore was use to all ranks coming up to her, she was kind and somehow people could tell, even with her rank she would be kind if you were kind.
Watching the man as he spoke and taking the glass handed to her noticing the flecks in it, something she had not asked for. About to ask for something else she set the drink down with a face. To this day Allore had never touched any drugs to her lips, never been high. With her spades dad and lady like mother it had never even been a thought or want growing up.”Yurei…” she mubled turning the glass in her finger watching it float around.
Being a concubi, a species that fed off of people’s mana, Ujin was able to sense in the air around certain individuals who or what they are. Closer to the woman, as she locked eyes with him he could immediately tell that she was in fact a human. Almost considering it a shame, the man didn’t think very highly of what he considered to be the weakest of the species roaming Kadeu. They were just so very easy to ruin that he didn’t find them to be very fun. If he wanted to keep them around he had to be careful and if he wanted to destroy them it was time too easily passed that he didn’t get to enjoy it.
Seeing that she was a Queen, he decided not to allow his preconceived ideas of what she would be like just because of her species. It wasn’t like the weak were commonly falling into high ranks, there was surely more to her than what meets the eye.
Pleased that she accepted the offer for a drink, Ujin otherwise didn’t actually want to sit and stay longer at the casino without the company (or entertainment) of another person. Picking up the glass of whiskey presented before him from the bartender, the familiar warm taste of the cool liquid felt more expensive than the brand he normally served at the Golden Faerie. One could always trust the Koi Casinos to serve the finest Kadeu could offer.
“Yi Ujin. And yours?” Introducing himself with his name, she possibly didn’t know that he was “Khaos” a name that Ujin never came up with himself but allowed it when others came up with the name for him. “How come a Queen such as yourself is sitting alone?”
Once her drink was placed before her as well, the incubus observed the Queen’s hesitant reaction. Seeing how she just touched the drug by dipping her finger into the glass rather than letting it slide down her throat in the waking moment of a good time, Ujin was slightly perturbed. Did she not want to have a good time?
“Problem?” He asked, unable to conceal contempt expression upon his face which conveyed he was both disappointed by her reaction but also cocky by the fact that his assumptions on human timidness was correct. It’s just a bit of yurei, not like anyone’s died from it... that he knows of. Huh, now he has a new question for the Heart’s Ace the next time he sees him.
ara-kadeu:
The Queen laughed, more to herself than to anyone else. She knew his question was regarding more gossip around The Palace in general. Ara was the right person to ask, of course. Eventually she always heard everything that happened within the walls of the theatre. While she wouldn’t divulge anything serious negative consequences, there was still plenty of petty incidents that were already making waves that could be shared.
“New with me? Not specifically. Though there was quite the scene backstage the other day with one our newer stagehands. Apparently he had come to work rather heavily intoxicated. And late. He was one of the ones responsible for setting up the pulleys and the rigs for various effects. Well, apparently he had set up a bubble rig for out matinee Galinda all wrong, and nearly injured her. Luckily the actress was unharmed and there were back up plans set up so the show didn’t suffer. But I’m sure you remember how harsh the stage director can be when certain vices are involved. That former stagehand will likely being lying low for quite awhile after this.”
The actress took a sip of her new drink, the dancer transforming into a sort of living, dancing sculpture the longer she stared at her. “And of course, there’s never a shortage of mistresses and playboys with loud voices showing up for a show. Though, I of course can’t confirm any of that. And certainly not with any names.” Ara chuckled to herself again before turning her attention to the Jack.
“You’re turn, Ujin. What stories do you have for me? And please, spare no details.”
Smirking to himself as she stated that someone had just almost gotten hurt in one of her stage productions, Ujin was amused by the thought yet disappointed by the outcome. “Shame nothing serious happened. Could have been fun to read about although I rather seeing things like that for my own eyes... So tame, I had been hoping to hear about the director sleeping with the actors and scandalously getting caught by his wife so she cuts off his balls.”
Enjoying the narrative in his own head, the Queen had been holding back though he wasn’t surprised. It was a split chance that she would either see him as a trusted fellow high ranker that she could divulge secrets to or remember who he was and know he couldn’t truly be trusted with anything. Ujin just hoped that the dorian would be enough to ease her guard down, he wanted to know what the Diamond territory was up to as if that would give him a clue as to why some random Hearts had put a hit on one of the Diamond Aces’ men. It would so benefit him if he knew.
“Where to start...” Ujin mused, thinking Ara surely wanted the more tabloid style gossip that matched her own than the underhanded back alley showdowns that Ujin frequented but he very well couldn’t expose all of his clients either.
Enchanted for just a moment by the female form of the dancer in front of them, Ujin’s job truly was a match made in heaven for the incubus. Taking a long sip from his second drink, the incubus’ mind went blank for a split second before the words came back to him. Was it the effect of the drugs pumping through his system or the effects of the dancer distracting the Jack from his thoughts? Not even he could be so sure anymore.
“It’s believed that the Choi clan are going bankrupt. One of their daughters came in here yesterday for a job interview, wouldn’t you believe it?” Speaking of the clan that owned one of the strip clubs that in recent days has become serious competition for the Golden Faerie, Ujin’s club’s reputation was beginning to soar amongst the high rankers which was a demographic the Choi normally dominated in the adult dancing business.
“Apparently the owner is about to run into some bad luck...” Implicating without specifically saying that he would have something to do with it, Ujin looked at Ara again to gauge her reaction.

⤷ plot drop @kadeuhq
A child lingers in the alleyway behind the Golden Faerie. One of your dancers informs you he’s there, she seems greatly off-put by his presence but does not believe him to be dangerous. Your manager is busy coordinating several dancers who seem quite content ignoring him which leaves you to take care of the child.
Exiting your club, your enhanced eyes notice almost immediately that this child is not a child at all. The beard on his face and the lines around his eyes mark him a Dwarven refugee, and as he smiles you notice yellow stains that hint at a tobacco problem. “Good sir,” he greets you, bowing at the waist. He is so short doing so makes him look like a mound of dirt due to the disheveled brown cloak he has wrapped around his muscled shoulders.
“Care to purchase something… interesting?” Before you can speak his hand twirls and a deeply black bag appears in his sausage-like fingers. “This, my dear customer, this right here, is a void bag. You’re a mana eater, I can tell, demonic. Well fed. You’ve no issues using this, and it’ll hold as much as you could possibly want. Unlimited storage.”
You can tell there is more to this bag than meets the eye.
After an eye roll or maybe four, Ujin finally took a step outside of the Golden Faerie to see for himself what the hell was bothering his staff so much. Frankly he was annoyed that the girls had called him out here to deal with a random person in the alleyway instead of using the dancers’ coordinator and manager, though he refrained from saying it outwardly in the case that it would discourage the girls from coming to him for help in other situations. Despite that consideration it was still pretty clear that the incubus was displeased, the owner was normally relied upon by the women for dealing with customers harassing them.
When he laid eyes on the stout older man, Ujin reluctantly began to mentally agree with the dancers’ choice to ask him for help instead of the Ten of Hearts manager that worked for the club. There was something so unsettling about the poorly dressed and filthy appearance in the dark alleyway, though that thought could just be Ujin’s bank account quaking at the thought of catching “poor” if he came too close. Being an individual gifted with a tall stature he was already used to having to bend his neck in a downwards angle in order to look at someone though normally the subject of Ujin’s attention was a woman or child in that instance.
The little that the Jack knew about dwarfs pretty much amounted to one thing; they were strange creatures. He trusted nothing that came from the independent Vanfaldir settlement, the fact that these dwarves came from a land that didn’t involve the brutal rules of hierarchy that Kadeu strived on made Ujin think that they would never be able to properly transition into a functioning cog in the machine of this society. Especially in the Heart faction. Seriously, what the fuck was he doing here? Such piss poor luck.
“N-” Cut off before the incubus could even say the words that he was not buying anything, the dwarf kept on speaking but why oh why was this man trying to sell him something?
Latching onto the obnoxious words “Dear customer”, Ujin’s annoyance was beginning to rear its ugly head underneath his modelesque appearance which was apparent by the scowl on his face. Exhaling heavily through his nose, he was so very not interested in buying a bag or whatever from a dwarf, Ujin was more of a pockets user personally. Shifting his weight from one foot to the other, the man’s toned arms crossed impatiently over his front. The whole theatrics were a bit much... With mana constantly at his beck and call, to store it for later seemed impure in a way.
“Fucksake, no. Psh, for what would I need that? You’re too vague about the details, dwarf.” Beginning sentence rushing out before the dwarf could interrupt Ujin again, the man really hated being cut off when he was speaking!
Keeping himself as verbally cordial as can be, it took everything in Ujin’s power to not see what would happen if he attempted to scrunch the dwarf up into a ball and find out how far a kick up the arse would make him fly. The only reason why he didn’t was because should dwarves become money earners then it would suit Ujin well for them to spend some of their earnings on his business. Can’t alienate a whole demographic of potential clientele just for being mildly annoying, yet. Even if not, there may be something to gain later on from the dwarves but should he attempt to punt what was potentially their dear old Uncle Fester down the alleyway then any idea of an allegiance could be long forgotten.
Turning away to go back to the back entrance door, Ujin didn’t like leaving the place for so long when the staff were obviously on edge tonight. If this buffoon ended up costing the incubus any business then the man would be pissed. There was something clearly wrong about the bag, that much the incubus was sure of. Just so happening to have a product that someone like him would likely be drawn to was definitely suspect. How the dwarf found its way into the red light district was beyond Ujin, he had thought that the men had all set up shop far away in the Forge. Certainly it was odd to see one in the Heart faction especially.
“Oh, and might I suggest leaving this alleyway, hm? The Red Dragon might be interested.” Cocking his head in a sarcastically sympathetic manner towards the dwarf before closing the door behind him, at least if the dwarf listened to him he could send the inconvenience to someone else.
Addict and connoisseur of frivolous purchases, the Jack had some rules to live by. A main and big rule being that the incubus could never stoop himself so low as to make a purchase in the streets to someone lower ranking than him, if he did that then he would be stooping himself to the low level of a common pedestrian. However now Ujin was starting to doubt his choice... He didn’t know what magic a dwarf held within their grimy little hands. What if the bag would be precious to someone else? What if it became popular later and he’d regret not having one for himself? Would it give its future owner wealth and power? Should he change his mind and ask the price? No. Changing his mind now would be a chump move.
