In addition, July 2020 to April 2021, remittances for labor increased by 29% (USD 24.2 bn) The main cash flow came from Kingdom of Saudi Arabia USD 6.40 bn, UAE USD 5.08 bn, UK USD 3.33 bn, from USA USD 2.22 bn. Imran Khan PM of Pakistan has repectedly praised & thanked all overseas Pakistanis in regards to the zeal of ‘Naya Pakistan’ and believing in the current government. Henceforth reserves of Pakistan’s foreign exchange are riased by USD 168 mn. FBR PROPOSED AN EXTENSION IN AMNESTY FOR CONSTRUCTION SECTORS. FBR has proposed the option to extend the amnesty scheme for another six months. FBR received legit & serious proposals to extend the deadline for income source probe exemption of investments, from June 30 to December 31, 2021 Amnesty scheme announced BY PM IMRAN KHAN for the construction industry in April 2020 Statistics shared by the FBR, a total of 1,083 construction projects worth 340 billion have already been registered. Developers of another 292 project are in the queue. Approximately 3,850 buyers expressed an interest to purchase properties by availing of the construction industry. new Year’s Gift’ for the construction industry, the fixed tax regime was extended till December 31, 2021. Simultaneously deadline for the registration of real estate projects with the FBR till Sept 30, 2023, the extended date for was March 31,2023 regarding exemption for disclosing the investments for the buyers Disclosure of the source of income that is being invested in real estate projects. CPEC AHEAD OF DAYS ALL PROJECTS IN FULL SWING (CPEC) projects are developing in full swing along with the development of industrial projects. The development of the Special Economic Zones (SEZs) is an essential outcome of the CPEC. PIBs channelised investment of $245.6mn within 10 months. KARACHI: In recent data released by the State Bank of Pakistan, (PIBs) Pakistan Investment Bonds have channelised foreign investment of $245.6mn in the July-April 2020-2021. As per the central bank, an amount of $21.5mn was offloaded by the foreign investors in this period, the total investment at $224.1mn was recorded. PIBs attracted $4.19mn in foreign investment during the month of April 2021. World Bank: Progress & prosperity as remittances increased by 17% in 2020. LAHORE: Just when needed Remittances to Pakistan went up by 17 % where the biggest chunk came from Saudi Arabia, then by all other gulf & European countries. In a press brief released by the world bank on Migration and Development, the remittances to Pakistan went up by 5.2 % from South Asian countries as well.
