- youre in charge but your sub always has the final say no matter what, if they safeword you stop, listen and understand them. without your sub you cannot have the fun you want. they are the most important part of the dynamic dont get an ego just because you get to be in charge.
- talk about what your sub wants when they're not in a sub headspace so they can verbalize what they want better. especially if they are a puppy sub or a dumb brained sub[idk actual terms for this but u get it]. its harder for subs to dictate what they want sex to look like when theyre in the moment just willing/waiting to be used. find time outside of sex to talk about your personal dynamics and wants.
- aftercare is just as important as the sex itself. especially if you are doing hard play but even if you're just doing soft play. its easy to forget especially if you're new to the dynamic but its what makes it so great, what seals that bond between dom and sub. that no matter what you do to their body it is also a temple you worship and you need to show the gratitude to them they deserve.
- trust your sub, they know how to use their safe words trust that they will use them if you push to far and don't beat yourself up if they use a safeword that ruins the purpose of them. safewords are just that words to make sex safe. when they are used it is a point in which you can grow and do a better job pleasing your partner it's amazing to get that immediate feedback of too much or too little, encourage your partner to use them. don't be hurt when they do feel impowered that you are trusted that much.
-have fun, dont be too serious. if you cant laugh during sex you aren't able to make a connection. if you slip over your words when dirty talking, miss the hole when youre fingering, any sort of silly mistake learn to laugh and move on. one of the best ways to bring it back to the target is just throwing your sub to a new position completely, throw their brain off the mistake and get control back physically. trying to verbally steer it back to sex is much harder but can be done.
