Trying to heal my relationships with others and myself

Hi! So I haven’t been active in awhile but I wanted to make some updates!

-The most exciting update is since I’ve made my own post I have graduated with an associates degree! I ended up missing out on a class I needed for the job I want, but thats okay because I got the opportunity to take the class at the same college this summer (thats what I’m currently doing actually!)

-I turned 20 in June so I’m officially out of the -teen years. I myst admit, starting off as a young adult trying to get some grounding under your feet is not easy. I’m working hard and I’m trusting the process, but there are a few things I need to work on to get where I want to go that are more dire than others (finances specifically, its so easy to spend money and hard to save it).

-I’m working on my art now more than ever. Once I get some money saved up and I can afford it I’d really enjoy to get back into painting with oils again!

-I met the absolute love of my life that I’ve been dating for quite some time now. Yes I do have an ex tag on this blog, but the reason I’m not removing that is purely for the fact it seems to help people know they are not alone in grieving their past relationship, and that it will get better and eventually you will find someone again (or they’ll find you) that will be an amazing (and even better) relationship!

So far thats been all I can think I need to touch on thats happened over these past few months. Don’t hesitate to reach out and chat!

Don't tell people your boundaries. Show them.

If you tell someone they can't talk to you a certain way or do certain things, those are not boundaries. Boundaries are things we show. If you tell someone "if you do that again I am not going to speak to you" and you stay and continue to speak to them, that's not a boundary. Just words. Words that they now know means absolutely nothing and they can take advantage of.

You show people how to treat you.

You reinforce your boundaries with your actions. Unless you show someone with your actions that what they are doing is not okay, and you do not continue to allow it, they will keep doing it.

I just did 45 minutes of yoga. Before opening any social media app (besides youtube to get the poses) before even getting dressed to start my day. And I can say 10/10 recommend it. Already in an amazing mood and all I have done is stretches
