I'm a sucker for Outsider POV. I love all those ideas of seeing through Earth's eyes as they watch Grace's footage etc.

But has anyone thought of making a sort of Yao & Ilhyukhina Ghost!AU shenanigans? Like they're the nosiest people to haunt the Hail Mary, commenting/nagging on EVERYTHING Grace does like a duo of grandmas in the parc. Gossip become even juicer when Simon arrives, or Grace stumbles into Simon, your choice. They take bet on who kiss first, eat popcorn and are protective of Grace even if they can't be seen/heard/felt. They even go as far as to "haunt" Simon if he hurts Grace, intentionally or not. Like banging on the walls while he passes by or breath down his neck once in a while (they still keep it pretty toned down, they realise quickly Simon is twitchy and they don't want to make it a hell for Grace to live in the spaceship with a caged, nervous and terrified animal, but STILL, they need to make Simon see what he did was BAD!!)

(They also cheer when the two hug for the first time. Bonus point if somehow they need to intervene to push those two knuckleheads together to talk or something)

Like, Ilhyukhina bitching about her vodka draining down Grace's stomach as soon as they wake up. Yao being the sort of chillier yet compassionate, silent camarade. They are astounded by Rocky's arrival, they facepalm when Grace tries (and fail) to pilot the HM or when he chickens out of his first space diving. Also them trying to cheer Grace up and rooting for him during the fishing session, etc etc.

Bonus point if somehow, Rocky senses some entities hovering around Grace all the time and ghosts have international language translator once they die so they also gossip with Rocky.

As much as I want to think that Leon’s spouse (if they’re a random character) would be the worried “oh my god what happened?!” type- I cannot shake the thought of both of them being like:

Sitting at the dining room table casually talking about the boring paper work side of thier jobs. The spouse glances over at the new scars on Leon’s forearms. Leon notices the slight bags under thier eyes and hair parted to hide healing bruises.

Neither of them mention because neither of them has to. That is work.

This is home.

And at home there are no monsters, no virus, no mold, no work. Just the Kennedy’s.

Of course, Leon will have to mention Grace and his spouse will have to explain their limp but that can wait until after dinner.

“The chicken is good.” He’ll say even though he likes everything they cook.

“It was my mother’s recipe.” They’ll reply.

And boring mundanity falls over them again.

Was thinking about Requiem's bad ending, the non canonical one where Leon dies and it got me thinking: What were his final thoughts? Like, how badly did he want to scream out to all the other ghosts that had been haunting him, every waking moment of his life for 28 years, knowing he was about to join them? Was he about to cry in his final moments? 28 years of living with the trauma, the PTSD after Raccoon City, all the people he believes he failed to save from RC onwards, was he happy in his final moments knowing he had saved a life, a life so similar to how he was when he still had the light left in his eyes? Did he spend his final moments thinking about his entire life leading up to that point? How much he believed he failed those around him? Whether he was a good person? Made a difference? Whether saving Grace made up for his so called failure to save more lives?

mia knew her husband didn't leave the baker house alive because, well, just look at him. but he hasn't hurt her. he refuses to hurt her. and she isn't going to be the one to tell him that he should.

the BSAA cautiously backing her plan to just... cover the mirrors. only print photos where you can't quite see his face. keep him busy enough he doesn't linger on his reflection in his phone screen - or maybe he's just conveniently nervous enough about the outside world that he doesn't look anymore.

mia's husband is a monster, but he's a gentle one.

is it cruel to let him keep thinking he's human? would it be crueller to put him down like a dog? he never would've been this way if not for mia. she wills the back of her neck to stop prickling every time he looks in her direction because the mould wearing her husband's skin is only there because he loves her - or loved her? she isn't sure. she doesn't know if ethan is still ethan - she sure wasn't herself when the mould took her. but he's different.

and regardless - ethan loved her, and whatever walks around as ethan now loves her just the same. so does it matter, really?

i had a dream that after the events of re6 wesker woke up in this grassy field still groggy after being dumped in a volcano and shot by Chris and Sheva with missiles. He hears a voice saying "hey are you alright? Looks like you hit your head pretty hard" and it's fucking ginger brave from cookie run

He's been isekai into cookie run with all his memories of the resident evil games intact and now he has to deal with candy bullshittery.

I wish I could express the distress this man had when he realized, he to, was sugar.

Had a dream one time where i entered a book store's kid section and there was nothing but john hancock from fallout 4 kids picture books. like "John hancock's first day at school", or "john Hancock's first valentines day"
