I have always thought (a) Power and (the) Mindflayer (s) would be a really good ship. Something about the contrast between the Powers being insecure about their incomplete form (only one wing and missing an arm) whereas the Mindflayers are both confident in and protective of their bodies due to how they lovingly handcrafting them themselves and have made their body their own. Maybe a Power could learn from a Mindflayer. Also of course struggling with having feels for a machine as an angelic being, processing how you see (or hopefully USED to see) another species as ontologically inferior, etc. and it would be REALLY funny if gabriel and the powers are trying to talk to each other like “so, i have a confession to make… i may have gotten involved with a machine, please don’t disown me” only to discover they both have feelings for a machine.
This gets better when you headcanon the powers and female mindflayers as transfem the way I do for various reasons. I can elaborate on them but I don’t wanna overwhelm your inbox

I think not only does the shame of the Powers line up with the confidence of the mindflayers, but there is also an inherent sense of shame the mindflayers have to have had themselves. Their original body is just the head, they had to have felt some degree of dysphoria or shame in that themselves in order to have decided they wanted to change their appearances. I believe a Power could learn a lot from a mindflayer in both confidence AND a sense of individuality/personhood. They could navigate personhood together, both being species that are denied it (for different reasons)….god it’s so good in every single way imaginable!!!! Also they’re both vain to a degree and I like my Characters prideful and obnoxious, god bless and amen.
Also I agree with both mindflayers and Powers being inherently gender queer, anon! I don’t strictly see it as transfem, as they’re both species and therefore I can’t label the entirety of them (I love you mascflayer, I cheered so loud when they were added to the game!! Mainly because I was excited to see some minor lore displayed in game. It’s the little things man!!). But yes, part of my Power & Mindflayer duo idea, if one so chose to go romantic with it, is in my mind inherently t4t; which leads back to the idea of finding comfort in someone else who has experienced similar issues in identity as you.
TLDR: I love t4t and gender queers. Gender queers you make me grin ear to ear (biased)
