I think Olimar and Tarrey listen to dance or disco. He mentions they used to club and go dancing when they were younger in field notes. i get the impression theyd also like funk or jazz

Louie i think listens to a little of everything, whatever he likes. i found it interesting that he liked the music box treasures so much. in his notes he said he listened to song of storms over and over again

at what age do you think olimar joined hocotate fright and when did Louie come along?

to that i wanted to ask how do you think olimar found out about the whole space pirate thing? from tarrey’s fam? or his own?🧐

From what I've read from Olimar's captain logs, he appears to have joined when he was younger. I'm assuming, if Olimar is 40-ish, that he joined as a crew member in his late twenties. He said he had repair jobs while in college, before he pursued piloting. So I'm gonna guess around 25, when you need to pivot to a career, and not a job. Louie is implied to be much younger than Olimar currently, I'm guessing between the age of 22 and 25, just young enough to afford to be a bit air headed, or not have discarded teenager-ish behavior yet. I'm also assuming that Louie's been working for H-freight for less than two years.

Considering Olimar did have jobs repairing freight ships, I assume, he would have heard plenty about space pirates, or even had work preparing damage from nasty fights. And I also assume, if he was trained for freight, he would have been informed about what sort of protocols he should initiate in case of emergency. Freight Captains IRL are trained in case of hostile take overs, since pirating on the 7 seas is still alive and well, so I don't see why Olimar wouldn't be similar! I have to remember the Dolphin is strapped with a canon. LOL I IMAGINE, Olimar would have been further informed on how pirates work from an insider point of view, from his wife's side of the family. Don Bully, would put a word out, at least for his own crew, to leave the father of his grandchildren alone.

His parents...they might have used what little they know about it to discourage him from being a Captain. I remember reading they weren't pleased with his career choice at all. -- As far as I also remember reading, Olimar was an only child, so no siblings! I think if he had siblings he absolutely would have mentioned them. He talks a lot about his family dynamic, sprinkled throughout found treasure notes. I very much remember him stating, that he had to find emotional maturity a little early, because his parents had a strange relationship. He often had to defuse some of their petty arguments as a kid. Which is...really interesting, and explains why he's the way he is right now.

Nah that's not weird! Pregnant women are cute LOL

I have answered this before in the past! Louie likes to do whatever he wants when he wants, so he doesn't have much interest in having any children of his own. Plus, the way that I HC him, he has generally low or unpredictable fertility. But I think, if he ever did get someone pregnant, it'd totally be an accident [ and it could be anyone tbh! ], and he might even have issues accepting the responsibility or being present. Seems like a sort of realistic tangent with his personality, and the relationship I have for him with his own air head of a dad. He doesn't mind children, though, they're often happy to go along with his snack getting ideas, or running about town. They're fun, so he'll borrow Olimar's kids or baby sit every now and again.

I love breeding LOLOLOL, but I like when there are people who have no interest, too. Gotta have balance

If they had Mc Donald's or Burger King in Hocotate what would Olimar and his family order? I'm very curious.

I'm assuming everything would be PikPik carrot themed! Veggie burgers, veg chips and nuggets. I think what his family wants would change every time, so he'd need to keep a list so he doesn't forget everything. I'm sure the children are sneaking in ice cream, and hopefully meals with cool toys. --- Don has expensive tastes! So you probably wouldn't find him eating something like a mcrib, LOL. He'd turn his nose up at it. You'd catch him in a hidden 2 or 3 planet diner in the city for lunch. He has tastes like a Koppaite. Really enjoys quality fruit flesh and juices.

A fruit hardly ever in season, or only sold for a limited time would be his elusive Mcrib
