So my account got hacked and I guess destroyed. I can't find it anywhere :/
It went by the name of "pomjuicedrops360", and that's where I posted my art. Had it since about...2018-2019? I'm so mad that my account got hacked but I can't blame myself for the unusual refund scam.
This asswipe literally would impersonate you, send you a DM to "warn" you of somebody impersonating you and scamming people, gives you some Discord name of a guy who supposedly works with Tumblr, and urges you to friend them so that they can help you with your "compromised" account.
My experience with this was complete hell. They show you all these steps, and then at the end, once you've had your account "scanned", they request you pay $350 USD to verify your account.
...Requesting...MONEY...TO VERIFY YOUR ACCOUNT.
Oh, but you'd get a full refund afterwards, HELL NAW YOU WOULDN'T. I GOT LUCK BECAUSE I HAD NO MONEY. At least enough to pay for it. I IMMEDIATELY KNEW something was wrong and just told this idiot to delete my account because I didn't want to deal with him/her anymore. I didn't know what else to do.
Bro literally threatened that if I didn't pay the dumbass verification money, the consequences would have been complete termination of the account, and law enforcement sending in warrants to my house 😐 which they literally emailed me about too.
Yeah, okay buddy. Nice try. I knew that was BS because I never gave him that information. Even if he/she asked, that would have raised my suspicion and said, "no thank you!"
I've learned for the past couple of years about the world of scams.
Refund scams, PCH scams, catfishing scams, all that jazz. But I have never, EVER, excpected to experience a refund scam like this one.
I will provide some of the screenshots of my experience, so that you guys can be aware of this type of scam. Avoid it at all costs.
