5. What sorts of civilizations and architecture fill your world?
The world is divided into different sectors known as Kingdoms. Each kingdom has a different ruling class and government. For example, the Mushroom Kingdom is a monarchy ruled by one Princess Peach Toadstool, while the Metro Kingdom is a democracy currently ruled by Mayor Pauline. In this sense the term "kingdom" is a bit arbitrary.
4. What’s its history? (How did it come to be?)
Long ago, the various Kingdoms of the world were built out of early civilizations. Two powerhouses of those kingdoms emerged in particular - The Mushroom Kingdom and the Koopa Kingdom. They were among those Kingdoms that were constantly at war.
However, things changed when a plumber from another world named Mario (while he didn't know it, he'd already been there as a baby, but that is a story for another time) wound up in the Metro Kingdom and trounced an invading member of the monkey-like species known as Kongs. He would go on to fight for the Mushroom Kingdom, and change the balance of the world forever.
3. Who lives in your world?
There are a stunning array of sapient species in this world, inhabiting various places. Listing them all here would be a lot, but famous ones include Toads, Koopas, Goombas, Bools, and others. Interestingly, humans tend to be in the minority and descended from those brought from other worlds, with exceptions like New Donk City and Diamond City.
2. What’s the Geography of your world?
Hello, it's the World Wanderer again! I have found a universe inhabited by the famous Super Mario and his friends!
The geography of the planet is fairly Earth-like, as I saw in an odyssey our hero Mario took. However it is still decidedly un-Earth-shaped in places - such as Isle Delphino, which is oddly dolphin-shaped!
WORLDBUILDING JUNE 2026 EPISODE 1
1. Tell us about your world.
Hello! Umbra here! I'm not done with this Worldbuilding June thing yet. This time I have something special - a non-Pokemon fan universe. This time it's based on Super Mario Bros. because I was inspired by the RPGs and more recently the movies. I've prepped some initial notes but will be expanding upon them here, so the World Wanderer will handle that next time.

Watched the Kingdom Hearts Union X fandub and BOY is it better to follow the story when every character gets their own distinct voice. That game deserves more of a remake than we got with Back Cover 😔
Anyway, I liked the idea of Lauriam carrying Ven on his back to make up for trying to beat him up a few minutes before. I'd love a reunion scene with these two, I hope we get it TvT

⚔️🐉 Ikesoren Week 2026 - Day 1: Canon Era I love when Pelleas gets bullied 😚
I saw the Super Mario Galaxy movie a while back on my birthday and I finally have all my (mostly positive) Thoughts together. These Thoughts will have spoilers. They aren't fake this time either. So don't click further if you don't want to see those.
First off, I just want to set the record straight: I had a great time. It's far from a perfect movie, I had a non-zero amount of problems, some of them actually kinda disappointing, but overall I had a lot of fun and there were plenty of other moments that induced a HYPE OVERLOAD. I saw it with my family and my IRL best friend and they had a lot of fun too despite most of them not being big Mario/Nintendo fans.
More specific thoughts:
-Yoshi is the best part of the movie. I adore Yoshi. He is so cute. I loved the backstory sequence where he was terrorizing Brooklyn.
-Yeah I felt there could have been more Rosalina but at least she did have some good moments. Also holy shit she and Peach are sisters that's a lore bomb right there. Relatedly I appreciate that Peach is the one to save Rosalina.
-Fox! Fox was so cool. That anime-esqe bit with his backstory was insane. Also him piloting the Comet Observatory holy shit.
-Bowser Jr. was great too. I know he doesn't really sound like a kid kid but he has a ton of little shit energy and that's what matters.
-Wart was really good too. I loved how he was constantly spitting out bubbles. He hd the perfect energy for his role in the movie too.
-I know everyone looked at ROB and said "they stole the Zootopia sloth joke" but that's just how ROBs are! They actually ove that slow! This predates Zootopia by decades! Also I am just glad ROB is in the movie. He is an important part of Nintendo history and also my son.
-The MUSIC oh my god. I'm so glad they've toned down the licensed music.The remixes are so good. There was this remix of Jump Up Super Star in the casino scene that had me going nuts.
-I audibly squealed at the Pikmin in the SS Dolphin. It was so cute.
-Mr. Game And Watch oh my god. I was v i b r a t i n g in my seat. My IRL best friend was next to me in the theater and he was like "oh they're really going Smash now"
-Also the fucking. Odyssey dragon as the final fight. Mario has to save Bowser Jr. from being eaten by it, with the Flying Mario powerup at that. Exquisite.
-Also I loved Bowser Jr's stupid Mario Maker level. That whole sequence was fun.
-DRY BOWSER. Oh my god how have I gone on this long without mentioning Dry Bowser. That was such a cool reveal.
-I do wish we got more of the Honey Queen. She was there for like. One scene.
-I love Bowser Jr's stupid Bowser themed theme park planet. And the puppet show that inspired it. Oh and the use of the name Boomsday Device from the game was funny too.
-The first post credits scene... Fox goes back to his home universe... setting up a Star Fox movie hopefully?
-And the second... OMG Daisy. Daisy is here. I screamed. What does this meaaaaaaaaaaaan for the next movie. I wanna find out.
But that's it for my screaming for now mostly. Again, fun movie! Definitely not a perfect movie, not necessarily even a GOOD movie when it comes to the bones of it, but it was a blast to watch as a big fan of Mario and these other Nintendo games.
Now what the heck are they going to do for the Zelda movie. That'll be something.
Now that The Super Mario Galaxy Movie is out and I have totally definitely actually seen it I'm going to post a bunch of spoilers on main because I have no sense of shame:
-Bowser does a rap performance of his sequel to "Peaches," "Rosalinas" -There is a psychedelic sequence referencing Hotel Mario that is never mentioned again -Luigi almost says the "mama luigi" line but is cut off by a fart joke -Peach stabs Wart with her umbrella
-Bowser Jr at one point uses his paintbrush to draw an amongus -Toad recreates the screaming toad gif frame for frame
-A remix of Gusty Garden Galaxy is cut off five seconds in by Don't Stop Beliving -Relatedly as soon as the Honey Queen is on screen Brick House starts playing
-Several Pikmin die on screen -Fox McCloud not only does not say "do a barrel roll," he fails ro actually DO any barrel rolls either.
-Yoshi has a rousing speech at the climax of the movie in his normal Donald Glover voice on the power of friendship
-At the end of the movie Rosalina resets the universe and it is reborn as the Smash Bros. cinematic universe
-Grant Kirkhope is not credited for anything. Again. -The post-credits scene shows Wario having a dance party with Samus

For legal reasons this was an April Fools joke. I have not seen the movie. I would never intentionally spoil it for anyone. Please do not spoil it for me. I am not seeing it until my birthday. ...This will be the longest week of my life.

And I sat him down and gave him this huge speech, like, “Listen, the ability to maintain intimate, long-lasting friendships is a sign that your partner is well-adjusted! It’s a little worrying that you’re feeling insecure about your partner having a healthy, normal friendship.”
Only for her to walk in two seconds later and say, “This drink is disgusting, you have to try it,” and, instead of offering me a sip, take a huge swig and spit it directly into my mouth from like three feet away.
There’s just so much going on here but I want to focus on the fact that this apparently happens so often that you saw her take a swig and instinctively opened your mouth for her to spit in it.
