Someone asked me to make a rebloggable version, so here it is! For the full story, go here.
So I had to take my kitty to the vet, the preliminary test on a sterile sample of his urine found some signs of infection. I’m still waiting to hear back on the full urinalysis, but a culture might be necessary which will be an additional $170 on top of the ~$150 that you can see I spent today. I also bought some probiotics to, hopefully, make the Baytril a little easier on him.
Even if I have to use every cent in my savings I will make sure he gets the care he needs, but I would… really rather it not come to that. I don’t have this kind of money laying around to just spend, especially since I should be driving shortly and will need to look into getting a car.
So! If anyone would like to help me and Tangles out my Paypal is [email protected]. Thank you!
Alright, so I spoke to the vet today!
I was supposed to get the results of the urinalysis Monday night, but there was some mix up and even though she called and left a message I didn’t get it and she wasn’t working when I called yesterday. We got in touch today, though, funnily enough I was on the phone with the secretary when she called me Mom, since I have both our numbers listed, so I hung up and she handed me her phone.
It’s not any kind of crystals or diabetes, good news! His pH is also perfect! We, thankfully, are not going to need to do the culture. They did find blood, however, so he’s going to have to finish the Baytril and we’ll see if there’s any changes while he’s on or when he goes off the antiobiotics.
I also got e-mailed a coupon for the Comfort Zone Feliway Diffuser, which I had been considering getting in case any part of this was behavioral, so I’m going to get that tomorrow.
Between the vet trip, the probiotics, and the diffuser the total cost is looking to be about $166.30. I’ve gotten about ~$80 in donations so far! Hopefully the antibiotics and the diffuser do their job and another vet visit won’t be necessary.
