Blocking Your Blessings

I really do hate it when people use the phrase “blocking your blessings” when others are in situations that possibly hinder themselves and moreover their walk with Christ. I believe that just as God gave us the power of free will to make certain life decisions, is the same way he allows us to be in certain positions and relationships in life in order for us to use our experience for testimony. Yes, YOU can block your blessings, especially through fear, unrepented sin, holding on the past, pride, and/or guilt. However, I really do believe that what God has for us is solely for us. At the end of the day, the will of God will reign.

Keep fighting, young fighter.

Something tough will happen and you’ll want to fold up, pack up, back up, and go home. 

But don’t count yourself out just yet.  A setback is only a shutdown if you choose to shut it down. Around the corner it gets even tougher: but your joy is that much deeper as you see the finish line.

If God has given you a dream – of course it’ll be tough.  Anything the size of God’s very own dreams will be crazy difficult.  Which is exactly why we need Him and the very reason you’ll be able to follow through.  In the end, you and everyone else will recognize it could not have been you, but God Himself flexing His breath through your heart and your hands.

New Beginnings

YOU know what you need to do and what God has called you to do, Satan puts in works to make you feel insecure about your decisions and to question what God sets forth for you to do; that's why it's important for us to gain a relationship with God that's so strong that when the devil even attempts to make us indecisive we can tell him devil flee from my mind and thoughts you aren't allowed to cloud my judgement or detour me from what God is directing me to do

learning to come to Jesus before everyone else is one of the hardest/best things I’ve ever had to learn. His presence carries everything we could ever need, and His words speak life into a heart of decay, into every situation. I’m constantly coming to the conclusion more & more that choosing Jesus is so worth it.

In November I started reading the Bible from the beginning. Today, I finished it, and I cried.

I finally see what it was all about. This whole story is about a God that won’t give up. There are ups and there are seriously downs but he never leaves.

If He never left mankind from Genesis to Revelation, I know that means he won’t leave me where I am. He is ever constant. Through misunderstanding, frustration, fear, and tragedy, He does not run away.

When you look at the Bible as a whole, you see it. You see the heart of a Father that says in your beginning I’ll be here, and no matter how you end, here I’ll be.

He hasn’t given up on us yet, and He doesn’t intend to start with you.
