Hello Bettablr! These are my three tanks!
Top tank is Atlas, he is a giant koi betta and lives in a 10 gal with a small colony of cherry shrimp and a nerite snail.
Left is Nebula, she is a koi who lives in a 5.5 gal rimless with no tank mates (she’s a beast that eats anything put with her)
Right is Orion, he was my first betta and a delta tail. He lives in Fluval Spec V with a few ghost shrimp as friends.

nebula unfortunately passed a few days ago. She jumped out and im not 100% sure why because her water perimeters were fine :/
Oh no! I'm so sorry. :( Bettas love to jump, it's not just caused by water quality. Sometimes they're startled, sometimes they see something they want to try and eat, and who knows why else. I would see if you can't find or make a nice glass lid for the tank, or make one out of mesh.

I didnt have a lid on it previously due to my hard scape sticking out but since nevula jumped ive been working on getting lid for all of my tanks as a saftey precaution.
So far ive got about half of the 5gal covered and im debating maybe getting and custom cutting some clear chloroplast for the remaining chunk
Orion has moved into nebulas old home (the flow was too strong for him in the fluval) and hes loving it! Ive also changed the lighting set up as the Aqueon light was waaay too strong

I can honestly say after buying Atlas from a breeder i don’t think i will ever go back to petco bettas. Atlas is visibly so much healthier then my other two and he has so much less trouble swimming, he was well worth the cost
