Melissa Ohden, survivor of a saline abortion, testified at the House Judiciary Committee hearing yesterday on Planned Parenthood. (video)
She’s not an abortion surviour. The hospital documents she provided as proof actually stated that she was born prematurely.
But you do you.
Yes, she was born prematurely because of the attempted saline abortion.
Not sure what point you’re trying to make.
Did you also hear her describe how her grandmother wanted her left to die after the failed abortion?
“In 2013, I learned through contact with my biological mother’s family that not only was this abortion forced upon her against her will, but also that it was my maternal grandmother, a nurse, who delivered me in this final step of the abortion procedure at St. Luke’s Hospital in Sioux City, Iowa.
Unfortunately, I also learned that when my grandmother realized that the abortion had not succeeded in ending my life, she demanded that I be left to die.
I may never know how, exactly, two nurses who were on staff that day (one of whom has had part of her story passed down to my adoptive family) found out about me, but what I do know is that their willingness to fight for medical care to be provided to me saved my life.”
Video of Planned Parenthood’s congressional hearing
Boo, if that was the case, why wouldn’t it be included in the hospital report? Oh yes, because it’s not true lmao.
Find me valid evidence from non-biased sources and maybe I’ll give you the time of day. The word of a liar ain’t shit.
Try again, Jan.
-Allie
It IS specified in the hospital report.
Is this yet another video which pro-choicers refuse to watch?
She has provided her hospital record and yet you deny the evidence in front of you. That’s your choice. It’s not my job to convince you. I might think Melissa Ohden would take offence at your slander of her character but then again, she’s survived worse.
Melissa said: You can see here in my medical records from 1977, I am the survivor of a failed saline infusion abortion (the exact wording in my records reads–“a saline infusion for an abortion was done but was unsuccessful.” Other parts of my records identify “saline infusion” as a complication of my biological mother’s pregnancy. You could certainly say that saline infusion abortion complicated things). (transcript, video)
The best part is that in that document the pro-choice blog provided it LITERALLY mentions the cause of the premature birth as being from the saline-induced abortion, “but you do you.” :)
umm pls dont compare “economic bs” in the US to a city besieged by war and genocide that was supported by the american government
Interesting, I wasn’t aware that the citizens of Flint and Detroit had rockets and mortar fire raining down on their cities while snipers shot people in the streets and paramilitary roamed the countryside. Apparently Michigan’s economic problems are *exactly* like going through five years of war and an attempted genocide on your soil. Who knew?
“this is amazing but how can I make it about me”
“Traditionally, tunnbröd is eaten with Surströmming (fermented herring) and as dopp i grytan (lit. “dip in the pot”)- mostly a spiced soft bread is used for this -, where the bread is soaked in the stock left from cooking the Christmas ham. Crisp tunnbröd differs from knäckebröd in being thinner and more compact, containing fewer air bubbles.“
soramea, is this true????
i have eaten this irl and can vouch for it being true
Doesn’t sound too bad for svedish food.
Donate to Persecuted Christians
Hey everyone!
So I know it’s the Lent season, and many Christians are fasting as we lead up to Easter. That being said, food spent on Lent meals is considerably cheaper than food spent on non-Lent meals. So why not donate the extra money we may have to some charities that help our fellow Christians in need? This is obviously open to non-Christians as well. Humans are humans, after all.
Here are a few charities that work tirelessly to help the persecuted. Please feel free to add to the list.
Christianity, after all, is the most persecuted religion in the world.
Thanks + God bless!
Assyrian Aid Society = a religiously unaffiliated charity that has been helping the people of Iraq since 1991, regardless of ethnic or religious background (including Arabs and Yazidis), but focusing on Assyrians and preserving their culture in Iraq.
Assyrian Church of the East Relief Organization = a religiously affiliated charity that assists needy Assyrians around the globe. They’ve been instrumental in getting aid to Assyrians affected by the Mosul crisis.
Barnabas Fund = a Christian organization that aims to assist persecuted Christians worldwide, whether in Nigeria or Iraq.
Children displaced from Mosul, Iraq sleep on the ground
Help Iraq = started by the St. Thomas the Apostle Chaldean Catholic Eparchy of the U.S.A, the organization has started programs like the Adopt a Refugee Family to help the persecuted.
Shlama Foundation = also started in Michigan, the organization helps Iraqis desperately in need. They work with Assyrians/Chaldeans/Syriacs to help ensure that they are able to return to their homes. One of their most powerful videos is below.
Are you fucking kidding me. What type of pro-life right wing bullshit is this.
The common sense kind.

I seriously wanna do a study on privilege and risk-taking behaviour because I have a theory that people with more privilege are less likely to think about consequences than are oppressed people, who are constantly bombarded by consequences, deserved or not.
Actually reblogging for that deep comment right there^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
^^^ same.
^^ makes you think..
this is absolutely true. thrill-seeking behavior that can actually kill you is proof-positive that your life is so safe that you actually go looking for deadly situations. why do you think mostly white people do shit like free climbing, base jumping, camping in remote areas without fucking telling anyone where they are going, climbing fucking Everest, whatever the hell its called when you jump out of a helicopter and ski down some crazy ass mountain, starting fist fights with cops… EDIT: THIS QUOTE
“When you do not have any actual problems, you must create them. And a trend amongst white people as a whole is to create problems for themselves by engaging in risk taking behavior.
Whether it is poor, rural high school kids intentionally going drunk driving, middle class white kids inventing new ways to damage each other’s testicles, or rich white kids throwing Project X-style parties and spending their parents’ money on idiocy, white people absolutely love danger.
When someone dies in a tragic, freak accident and you find yourself wondering how that person became involved in the situation, it was most likely a white person. No one truly understand why white people enjoy risking their lives, but it seems to be a combination of a lack of problems, ownership of the entire world, and the resulting overwhelming boredom.”
Is this why literally all shows and movies about white people are about white people ruining their own lives
^^^ FUCKING BASICALLY
its like 7 fucking feet guys calm down

it amazes me how some people think that they shouldn’t be required to contribute to society in order to benefit from that society
I want a story about an Italian vampire.
No romance, no action.
Just 200 pages of “What do you mean, I can’t have garlic? Do you know where I’m from?”
TBH I think the main issue would be the mirror thing
have you ever met an Italian man
the amount of time they spend looking in the mirror jfc
#the more you think about it the more all vampire rules are just anti-italian rules#can’t go out in sunlight?? IN ITALY???#Can’t go near crucifixes? IN ITALY???
my italian-from-italy boyfriend hates garlic lol
Garlic isn’t even that important here? Most guys i know don’t even stop in front of mirrors? Have these people ever actually spent more than ten minutes in italy or
sssssshhhh stop scaring them or they’ll start thinking italians exist outside of new jersey and even try to go to italy… put salt on pasta after it’s cooked… complain about no italian men sweeping them off their feet on a vespa with a rose between their teeth…
the 21st century is wild
The internet makes some strange things happen
spend a couple of seconds on op’s blog & then justify reblogging this shit tho
