Call your local wildlife refuge to see if they accept Christmas Tree donations. Animals love Christmas Trees! Some animals even enjoy eating Christmas Trees as a special treat. One elephant can eat five Christmas trees in one sitting! Other animals that like to snack on Christmas trees are giraffes, rhinos, camels, deer, and sheep. Or you could just put your Christmas tree in the backyard with birdseed & suet ornaments for the birds to have food and shelter during winter. Don’t just throw your old Christmas tree away - gift it to animals who will love it! 🎄🐘🐆🦉

Taj Mahal - Corinna

I love this song. It’s by far one of my favorites. 

Awhile back, my dad gave me some of his old records from the 60′s and 70′s. in the batch was Taj Mahal: Recycling The Blues & Other Related Stuff. On side 1, Song 6 is ‘Corinna’. (It’s the only time I’ve ever see it spelled this way and not “Corrina”)

I put that record on today while picking up around the house and can’t stop singing it. So, I’m sharing this song with you. As luck would have it, one of my other favorites, Paste Magazine recently recorded Taj singing Corinna with Keb’Mo’ (8/24/2017). The 1972 live recording on my Dad’s record is the best, but it is so good to see these guys play this song for us in 2017. A gift.

This is pure. A 12 string guitar cover of Fleetwood Mac’s Landslide by Chicago subway performer Slim Freedom (Ashley Stevenson). I think I’m late to this game, but I had to share. Let yourself go through the interweb strands and search her name and music.. the way she bends a song to make it her own is so so so damn refreshing.

Do you hear the great Tracy Chapman in some of her vocal tones? I did right away. Not to make something new, second hand. It’s a compliment, absolutely.
