Liam's voice sounded perfect. I could detect no hint of wear, even after several weeks of touring. Noel, as always, sounded crisp and beautiful. The two worked in tandem quite well. Liam was up to his usual stage antics, staring off into space and at one point shielding Noel as he played a solo. Had to laugh out loud when Liam ran over and grabbed Noel's ass as he played with his amp. No sense of tension or problems.

For me, the highlights were Slide Away, Step Out, Champagne Supernova, Don't Look Back in Anger and I Am the Walrus. The moment of the night came when, during the very end of DLBIA, Noel looked at a guy in the front row who had his lighter out, swaying to and fro. Without missing a beat, Noel told him, "This isn't Elton John. Put the fucking lighter away." He complied. Another highlight came when another guy in the front row kept motioning to Liam with his sunglasses. Liam motioned for him to throw the sunglasses on stage, which he did. Liam promptly stepped on them and threw them back. Classic.

Liam: The thing is that me and 'r'kid are dead close, d'you know what I mean? And we're propped up just like that, at the moment. It's not like facing each other, it's like gone to that, d'you know what I mean?

And he don't like being told off by his younger brother, when it is right, and that does his head in. And that's about it, other than that. (...)
