Eyes Donât Lie Masterlist
Charlotte walked out of the office and went around the corner before being swarmed by two redheaded boys.
âHowâd it turn out?â Fred asked quickly grabbing your arms.
âWas it brilliant?â George pushed Fred out of the way, causing Fred to pull Charlotte slightly.
âWhat color did his hair turn?â Fred swung his arm over Georgeâs shoulders while asking his second question.
âHow much detention did that git give you?â George also asked another question.
âWoah! One question at a time.â She chuckled. âYes it was brilliant, his hair turned an electric green, and I got three weekends of detention.â Both boys laughed loudly and Charlotte laughed along with them. âCâmon, we gotta get back before all of us get a detention for being out of bed after hours.â She grabbed their wrists and pulled the still laughing twins down the hall.
Once the twins had dropped Charlotte off at her common rooms she waited about ten minutes before exiting once more. She made her way carefully down the halls and to the dungeons. You knocked on Snapeâs office door. She heard some shuffling behind the door before it opened to show Snape, his hair back to its usual black. He held the door open as you walked through and shut it behind them.
âYou fixed your hair.â She smirked and reached up to feel his hair between her fingers. âI kinda liked the green.â Giggling when Snape gave her a look.
âNope.â Charlotte shook her head before walking closer to him, her hand moving to the back of his neck, pulling him into a kiss. His hands went to her hips immediately, pulling her close. She pulled back just enough to speak. âBy the way I told the twins I have three weekends of detention with you.â Charlotte smirked.
âCanât get enough of me can you?â Snape teased with a bit of a smirk. It was nice seeing him actually showing some emotion.
âLetâs see how much of you I can get.â Charlotte pulled him back into a kiss and Snape brought his hands under her thighs, picking her up and walking to the desk in the middle of his office. He swiped whatever was on his desk off of it, things clattering on the floor. He set you on the desk and she wrapped her legs around his waist, her hand snaking between them.
She palmed his erection and unzipped his pants, her hand slipping in. He groaned into your mouth and nipped at your bottom lip. Loudly a fervent knock came at the door.
âSeverus? Is everything okay?â A male voice came from the other side of the door. The two of them quickly separated and Severus used his wand to fix everything at his desk.
âOne second!â He called out quickly. Charlotte fixed her clothes and hair, trying to smooth them out. Severus fixed his hair before calling out once more. âCome in.â Remus Lupin opened the door, concern all over his face. He quickly noticed Charlotte and scanned the room.
âI came down to retrieve,â He paused, looking at Charlotte. âmy potion, but then I heard a loud bang and got worried. Is everything alright?â Remus seemed genuinely concerned as he spoke.
âEverything is just fine Lupin.â Severus answered with very badly hidden venom in his tone. Charlotte stood quietly at the desk as she hoped professor Lupin didnât notice her flushed face and their shared swollen lips. She finally brought herself to look up at the other professor to see him staring at her, his eyes knowing. Her eyes darted away again:
âWhat did this one do to be in the terrifying jaws of the potionâs professor?â Remus smirked as he walked a little closer. Severus rolled his eyes and scowled.
âShe was out of bed after hours then decided it was hilarious to play a prank on me.â Snape told Remus and Charlotte could only smile sheepishly as the two professorâs eyes bore into her. âIâm just assigning her detentions, your⊠potion is in my classroom I can deliver it tomorrow morning if thatâs to your, satisfaction?â Severus spoke to Remus.
âThat would be perfect, thank you Severus.â He walked to the door and opened it to leave. âBy the way Severus, your pants are unbuttoned.â Remus pointed out before exiting the room.
Silence stretched over the room before Severus spoke under his breath. âFuck.â He brought his hands to his face and groaned. âI knew this was a bad fucking idea. How stupid am I? Sleeping with a student.â He reprimanded himself.
âAnd sheâs still right here in case you forgot. Listening to everything youâre saying.â Charlotte spoke up. Snape pulled his hands off his face and glared at her. âWhy are you giving me that look?â She crossed her arms.
âCause youâre the one who got us into this mess!â Snape accused.
âExcuse me?! I did not!â Charlotte argued. âYouâre the one who makes it hard to hold back.â Snape scoffed.
âThat is not true! If anything youâre the reason I canât hold back.â Snape crept closer. âBeing all doe eyed and seductive.â He pointed a finger at her.
âMy fault?!â Charlotte scoffed with an eye roll.
âYes, your fault!â He circled around his desk and practically fell back in his chair. His head fell into his hands once more.
âProfessor Lupin isnât going to say anything, not with how he reacted.â Charlotte walked over and put a hand on his shoulder, trying to bring him a little comfort.
âMaybe not. But heâll have this to hang over my head forever.â Snape sneered looking up at her over his hands.
âWhatâs your problem with professor Lupin anyway?â Charlotte questioned.
âThat is none of your business.â He said quickly, standing up. âNow, I will ask that you please leave.â He tried to act demanding.
âAre you serious?â She raised an eyebrow.
âDeathly.â He leaned over her with a sneer and Charlotte rolled her eyes. She stormed out with a scoff and slammed the door behind her.
âDick.â She murmured under her breath. Turning to leave only to come face to face with professor Lupin.
âP-professor!â She stuttered in shock, her eyes going wide.
âYou better run along, itâs after hours. Which Iâm sure is the reason Snape already had you in his office.â He gave you a knowing look and nodded his head towards the exit. Charlotte nodded before walking away. When she turned back he was already knocking on Snapeâs office door.
The next morning Charlotte woke up already in a bad mood. Her feelings from the night before had not gotten slept off. She got out of bed with a sigh and got ready for the day.
She grabbed her robes, a pair of tights, and underwear, heading to the bathroom to get ready. Once in the bathroom Charlotte placed her clothes on the counter and chose to not do her makeup or hair that day, putting her hair into a side quick braid. She did her skin care before putting her clothes on.
Exiting the bathroom Charlotte headed to her desk, throwing her sleep clothes on her bed while walking there. She grabbed her bag and check it to make sure she had everything before grabbing it and pulling it over her shoulder. She stepped into her shoes before leaving her room.
By the time Charlotte got to the Great Hall the food was already out. She noticed an open spot across from Draco and sat down.
âAlmost thought you wouldnât show up.â Draco teased. She gave a light chuckle, grabbing a pancake from a platter.
âNo, just had a rough night. The twins dragged me into some stupid shit.â She took a bite and Draco rolled his eyes.
âWhy do you even hang out with them?â Pansy asked speaking up from beside Draco. âTheyâre filthy blood traitors.â She sneered, the group murmuring in agreement.
âHey, I donât tell you guys who to hang out with so you canât tell me either.â Charlotte pointed her finger at the whole group. âNow drop it or Iâm gonna eat elsewhere.â She continued and Pansy went back to being silent next to Draco.
Charlotte dreaded going to her classes of the day. First was Transfigurations which isnât bad, itâs the classes after lunch that cause her dread. Potions followed by Defense Against the Dark Arts.
In Transfigurations they learned how to non-verbally produce birds. Charlotte had finally got it in the last thirty minutes of the class.
During her double free period she worked on the homework from Transfigurations, a 16 inch parchment on why non-verbal spells can be preferable to verbal spells.
Charlotte was able to finish the parchment before lunch, choosing to join Fred and George for lunch. She huffed as she dropped her bag at the bench and sitting down.
âI hope you two had a more eventful day than Iâve had.â She sank her face against her hands which had their backs resting on the table.
ââFraid to say we havenât.â Fred answered. Pouring himself some pumpkin juice.
âMondays got us this time.â George joked, nudging Charlotte with her elbow. She groaned and let her head fall to the table.
âI want this day to be over already.â She whined, slightly muffled by the table. One of the twins had started rubbing her back.
âWhatâs happened?â Fred asked, he was the one rubbing her back.
âNothing I wanna talk about right now.â She pulled herself up and grabbed some food off the middle of the table. She took a couple bites before getting up.
âI think Iâm gonna go to the library, I canât hear myself think in here. See you guys in potions.â The twin said their goodbyeâs and Charlotte left for the library.
Charlotte had been in the library for the last half hour and glad she didnât see anyone she knew as she didnât want to speak to anyone. She had checked out a potions book on how the different seasons could affect potions ingredients. It was short but interesting, she had finished the first 50 pages in the silence of the library. She checked a clock in the library and groaned. It was almost time for her potions class. Charlotte marked her spot in the book and closed it, grabbing her back and going to Madam Pince, the librarian, to check out. Putting the book in her bag and setting off to the dungeons.
A couple of people were gathered outside the door and Charlotte waited with them. She bit at her lip and zoned out, her dread consuming her. Someone had nudged her out of her thoughts, it was Fred and George letting her know the door had opened.
âYou okay?â George asked as they walked into the class.
âYeah, just donât know if Iâm out of the blue from last nights prank.â She lied, she wished she could confide in them but knew it would be bad for both her and Snape if she did. She avoided looking at the desk in the front and walked to her seat in the back of the classroom. She set her bag down and crouched down to grab her inks and quills along with a couple empty sheets of parchments. She had finally looked at the front once she sat down in her seat only to find Snape looking back at her.
She sighed and rolled her eyes. She kept zoning out once class had started. Today was a work day which was good for her muscle memory. It was an easy potion, just a simple pain drought. She had grabbed her ingredients and gotten started after Snapeâs small lesson about the potion. Charlotte hadnât even noticed Snape moving around the classroom until he was right behind her.
âDoing well Ms. Bren.â He spoke practically in her ear making her jump. She looked back with a glare and turned back grumbling angrily under her breath. He had almost made her mess up her potion.
By then end of class she was one of a couple people to make âperfect potionsâ in Snapeâs words. All of these people happened to be in Slytherin house. As you were packing your stuff up Fred and George came over.
âTeachers pet.â Fred teased. You rolled your eyes.
âNot on purpose.â Charlotte let out a dry laugh and sling her bag over her shoulder. Leaving the room behind Fred and George who were joking around with each other, not a glance over to Snape.
