Hi. Do you know character named Lacy loud?
I do, yeah.
Today is National Kindness Day! What are YOU doing to spread Kindness?
Rip Stan Lee.
No la he visto.

Do you think there might be people who still not gonna like Lynn even after seeing Middle Men? If yes, what's your opinion on these people?
Of course some people are still not gonna like her, and that’s fine. It’s their opinion. Some people simply don’t like characters that are tough or that like to be a little rough. Nothing can be done with that, and their opinion is as valid as mine.
My thoughts on Middle Men
The basics of my thoughts have been covered already by myself and by most everyone else. It’s a wonderful episode that shows Lynn cares for Lincoln. The “Lynn doesn’t like him/she hates him” bullshit is dead now. Lincoln and Clyde were good in the episode too. It was great, but y’all heard that before. So I just want to add a little something that may have been touched, but I haven’t really seen.
I just want to talk about Lynn's insecurities. The episode establishes very clearly that she had to become tough and aggressive. The only thing we really know about her younger years was that she was competitive, but competitive doesn't equal roughness and general jock attitude. She herself says that it's some sort of defense mechanism to keep people from messing with her. She described her first year of Middle School as a nightmare, and that's truly sad and awful. And in the end, it's because she cares about what people have to say about her, and that's usually the sign of someone who's insecure about themselves.
She's the ultimate athlete, she has a case full of her trophies. Only on screen we've seen her win a bike championship, a baseball league, and become the star of the football league. She's clearly a gifted girl who can do amazing stuff. Why is she so insecure, then? Why isn't she more confident? Why does it matter so much for her to lose a simple board game?
It's because of the appearances and the image she wants everyone to see of herself. She wants people to know that she's a champion, to know that she's not someone you can mess with. She wants respect, she wants to be respected, probably praised, but definitely not being made fun of. She cares about appearances so much that she passed out just because of people thinking that she lost against a dork.
She truly just wants to have fun, but she cares about winning because that's what makes her who she is, or maybe that's what keeps her from being who she was. She's all in for the fun, and she truly just wants everyone else to have a good time along with her, but sometimes her over-competitiveness gets the best of her, and she realizes that maybe the defense mechanism took the best of her.
She's so insecure of herself that, as talented as she is, she decides to rely on luck. She treats luck as the definitive factor that decides whether she wins or loses, much to some people (the fandom)'s annoyance. Like Myrtle said, as talented as she is, she wouldn't really need luck, but here we are.
Now, whether her insecurities caused her to be picked on or if being picked on caused her to develop some insecurities, I don't know. But I do think that that's the key here, insecurities. I firmly believe that everything that I've been talking about finds its roots in that issue, which could potentially be her major character flaw, as crazy as it may sound. And I don't think that this is all just headcanon or wishful thinking, I think there's one thing (or one person, I should say) in the show that establishes a precedent for this, and that's no other than Lincoln himself.
He's not beyond feeling embarrassed or ashamed of being humiliated in public...
But he does have one trait that makes him stand out, and that's that he can have tough skin. Sure, he'll dress up to impress Stella, and he'll wonder if maybe he's too old for Ace Savvy, but in the end, he accepts himself, as it's been firmly established.
Whereas Lincoln is a softie that can take one for the team and even endure some teasing and public humiliation, Lynn was just a softie that couldn't really stand it. She fell under the pressure, and it's my belief that it was, again, because of her insecurities. And that's where Lincoln triumphs over Lynn. He's comfortable with who he is. He calls himself the man with the plan, he appreciates his wit and cunning skills. He basically has the will to keep going.
And I think that's what Lynn can and should learn from Lincoln. That's where he can help her, that's what she needs him for. He could be the one to teach her to believe more in herself and realize that she doesn't need to pretend or anything. She's fine the way she is.
I think it was bluntly implied that Lynn saw bits (if not big parts) of herself in Lincoln in Middle Men. She saw him making the same mistakes she made, and that's what she tried to avoid. And that's why I think the ending of Middle Men was so powerful. Because she saw that people accepted Lincoln and Clyde for who they are.
And since she sees herself in them, maybe, just maybe, that means that people could accept her the way she is, too.
Heads up PayPal is changing ToS again
And they are getting even more strict when it comes to not using invoices for charging for Digital Goods.
Whatever Invoices make you uncomfortable or not, you gotta start using them if you want to keep your PayPal and your money. Changes starting this October 19th.
Honestly I don’t get why so many artists are so overwhelmed by invoices, takes just a few clicks to set up.
And is not only “oh you have to use invoices because PayPal says so” if you don’t use invoices you’re putting yourself at risk of being scammed by an user abusing the buyer’s protection.
Since PayPal ain’t got no idea of what those $50 you received were for, but the buyer is saying they didn’t got anything for the money, PayPal will just side with the buyer.
I’m seriously begging ppl, start using invoices. I’m tired of seeing ppl complain their paypal was banned, or is under investigation, or worse, the $100 they got for a very complicated commission, 3 months later get a refund issue.
just
start
using
invoices
for your own sake.
Here is how you use invoices because I can’t keep playing devil’d advocate, yes I would love to help you get your PayPal restored but just this last month I had to help three persons, and they were MORE than aware of this issues.
Just protect yourself.
Step 1. You login and click here
Step 2. You click create new Invoice. YOU NEVER CLICK REQUEST MONEY, unless you want to risk yourself to get scamer by buyer’s protection exploit and not only lose your money but your paypal account, and any future paypal linked to your irl name.
Step 3 You follow this steps
1. Invoice for amount only
2. Ask your client for their PayPal email and put in that field
3. Add a vague description of what you’re doing, something like “Character Coloured with Background” is good enough, and if you need more than 1 character you can type in “2″ where it says amount, or just say “2 characters”.
Warning: don’t type in “Naruto rawing Sasuke”. That will get you banned.
4. Click send.
Optional steps. Create a template, doesn’t take more than 10 minutes and it will save you a lot of time for future invoices, you can even click on “items” right next to “create invoice” and add a list of services you offer such as “character sketch” “character flats” along with a price, so next time you invoice you just add to the invoice from your list of items and you saved yourself some more time.
More importantly, you protect yourself from buyer’s protection exploit because if PayPal knows you’re doing digital goods, then you will be allowed that you did in fact created a digital good.
Keep PayPal happy, as for right now there are no alternatives to this service, and this is the only source of income for many freelancers.
Stay safe.
Heads up, all commissioning artists
I’ll be doing this from now on!
ADDING THIS BC I HATE PAYPALLLL OK so when you send/make invoices…it doesnt let you choose ‘digital good’ or differentiate between “goods (as in physical)” and “services” (as in doesnt need address) which is what you could do with micropayments…. SO WHEN U SEND INVOICE the buyer will be asked for their shipping address. ( I even had the options turned off for shipping?? I was pretty sure there USED TO be an option that you turned off and then it wouldn’t ask for shipping, but that doesnt seem to work anymore? I went to where the setting was and still had the boxes unchecked, and yet my buyer was still getting asked to put in shipping address, and when invoice was paid, i was being asked to provide shipping label by X date or Consequences.) SO APPARENTLY YOU HAVE TO DO THIS as the SELLER
SO go to the invoice (i think this can be done BEFORE the buyer pays?? Didnt try myself tho, i did it after it was paid), and click on VIEW DETAILS in that first box
Scroll to the bottom of the page and click ADD TRACKING INFO (YES COUNTER-INTUITIVE AS BALLLLLS.)
of course HERE IS WHERE YOU'RE GIVEN INSTRUCTIONS ON PROCESSING DIGITAL GOODS. HIDDEN BEHIND A BUTTON YOU WOULDNT PRESS IF YOU WERE, SAY, TRYING TO SELL DIGITAL GOODS. Select Order Processed/Service Rendered
YAY this stuff fills itself out and you can save and not have to worry about shipping your Digital Intangible Product to a very confused seller. I am so salt about this. excuse me while i go cry angrily.
Think I’ll reblog this for my own use…
Guess I gotta get used to sending invoices for all transactions soon then
NO EXCUSES GUYS. PROTECT YOURSELF AND OTHER ARTISTS.
I always send invoices for my comms but there’s the whole shipping address issue that I find annoying. Gonna have to change that so Paypal doesn’t come after my ass.
Anywho, reblogging this to spread the word. Stay safe,
otp meme ♥ [3/10] looks → 1x04
Does it make you sad to know that, despite all of the future accomplishments you will accomplish in life and all of the different stories you try to tell, you will forever be known as the "Requiem for a Loud" guy?
No, that’d be awesome, actually. Everyone knows George Lucas for “the Star Wars guy”, and that’s pretty fucking amazing. It’d be like Obama complaining that people only know him as “former President of the United States”.
If people always remember me for writing a story, that means I created a big impact on them, which is more than most people can say they did for others.
