you can do this, quinn. you can do this. could he? maybe. with a box held to his hip, his hand hung in the air balled to a fist. god, noah didn’t want to do this. the box kept all of jason’s belongings, the ones that he’d left at his place (all but that one green hoodie that he stole last year, but he could pry that from his cold, dead hands) and it was time to finally hand them back. fingers finally rapped on the wood of the door that he so easily used to let himself into, no announcement needed. and the longer he waited, the more that a sickly feeling started to take place in the pit of his stomach-- run, just fucking run, hoodie and all, just run and maybe he’ll come back and you can sort this out. -- feet remained cemented in place as time ticked slowly, feeling as though the grains of sand in an hour glass were falling one by one.
panic started to rise in his throat when the shorter one saw the door handle starting to move, and a rueful smile took precedence on his features. “...hey. i, uh. brought you this.” said rather matter-of-factly as noah held out the box with the words “JASON’S THINGS” scrawled on the front. “thought you might want them back.” | @thishealer

okay so: probably the best way to describe noah would be an umbella academy fanboy. all throughout school, any report when they were given a topic that was ‘interesting’ to them, he saw it as a chance to shine a spotlight on them-- to the point that the teachers really started to grow tired of hearing about the weird umbrella kids.
he’s a curious person, and his curiosity fuels him. it’s mostly the reason that he felt a draw to journalism. in college, as part of the school newspaper, he was tasked with the type of stories that would have him breaking rules in order to get what they needed-- the thrill of investigative stuff? hell, he’ll ride that high all the way to the bank. however, his interest in the academy never wavered, and so he set up the blog: UNDER THE UMBRELLA.
UNDER THE UMBRELLA is exactly as it sounds, it exists to shine a spotlight on everything to do with the academy. their lives, their latest missions, their recent social media posts-- anything and everything. he wanted to know the people behind the domino masks. and one time? he got a little too close.
[ FILLED CONNECTION ] noah was never meant to enter a relationship, he didn’t mean for it to happen that way. however, jason was different. he knew who he was, of course he did-- but jason didn’t know that he knew. and noah wanted to keep it that way. it started off as a way to get a story but the longer they were together, he swore that he would be the only one that he never shined a spotlight on. his name was kept off of his blog, but that didn’t help the eventual crash and burn of their relationship. trust issues, lies and everything in between on both sides saw them meeting an end.
since then, his blog has been fairly quiet. silent for months, now only posting once or twice every couple of weeks. he’s been trying to look into other stories-- but still, the academy fascinates him.
he likes to keep his business as his business, rarely letting people in on a story he’s working at the time. if someone else gets that information, his exposé could be completely ruined. other than that, he’s someone who doesn’t take himself too seriously. headstrong, sure, but someone who knows when to kickback and relax, who can have a joke and be a sarcastic shithead but all coming from a place of jest.
