It’s morning in Japan, and everyone is late.

Why are they all late? Why is everyone’s bag broken? Well~~ let’s just say a certain annoying dog is guilty of stealing, vandalism and kidnapping..

After Flowey’s attempt to off you as quickly as you fell down the hole, Toriel scares him away and takes you under her wing. She leads you to the RUINS, calling it your new home.

I really like the colour palette of the RUINS. It’s a beautiful use of colour. I don’t know if they’re leaves or rose petals, but I adore the bits of red scattered around the purple environment. Toriel has also won my heart, and I feel comforted by her maternal nature. It’s also interesting that she continues to refer to the player as “innocent one”. I wonder if it has something to do with anything.

Veil, an old (pastel) crow living in Snowdin.

Despite being such an old monster, he remembers… 

holy shit where is don bluth when i need to draw anthro birds… birds are so hard to draw… (took some artistic liberties tho LEL)

he has a prosthetic leg made out of rosewood and metal, which makes it difficult to move around when it rains sometimes (THEM OLD JOINTS)

Anyhoo, here is Undertale OC #2, my old ominous crow that is friends with Gourdon. More info for Veil coming soon, but for now, please have these concepts!`

I have immediately been betrayed by Flowey the Flower.

So it begins! After the very lovely beginning cutscene, the main character finds themselves in a pile of flowers. I thought this was a very cute way to open the game. It’s simple, and effective. After walking down a long hallway, and entering a rather fancy door, I encounter this lone flower.

Everyone had already warned me not to trust “Flowey the Flower” early on, so I was very hesitant to talk to it. One of the things I wondered was “so when do I start seeing the reasons not to trust the flower?” The conversation starts off tame, with a bit of information about the battle system and your SOUL.

I figured out why I kept dying so much. My game was accidentally set to hard mode. So, uh, that’s a thing. Queuing up my posts and then restarting my game so that I can get to the end of the Ruins, finally. I’ll make sure to document what happens after I reset, since I think it will be different!

I played for an hour and I can’t even get past the last puzzle in the Ruins because I keep dying in the minigames. Weep. I’ll be putting together some of my first posts soon.

I now declare this blog... OPEN! I made an Undertale OC using @mmmsammishes Undertale generator some time ago, (a monochromatic cat that lives in Snowdin), and realised I still hadn’t played the game. SO, I created this blog to, well, blog about Undertale, the story, the characters, and OCs!
