My name is Eugeo, I am from Rulid Village. I am training to be a great swordman like Kirito, my partner. Together, we will find Alice, my long lost friend.

"Training grounds? She asked as she looked at the boy. "Well, all I remember was that I was taking a nap in a forest, next thing I know, I am here." She heard his name and then bowed. "Nice to meet you Eugeo. I am Ai nenriki, a mage and Drifter in training." She explained.

"Well, there is always a chance you could have been teleported, though to be teleported here of all places is quite the mystery." Said Eugeo as he walks up to the girl.

"Ai nenriki? My that is a nice name." Eugeo returns the bow with his own, showing respect to Ai. "Well you are currently in a place called the Academy, its pretty much a school. Though we deal with some incantations, its nothing like what you know Ai. Its a place mostly used to train swordsman or swordswoman."

Ai was already impressing Eugeo, a drifter yet to be training took a lot of conviction and will to make such a decision for one's self.

"Whoa, where am i?" Asked the petite brown haired girl, she reached for her tail, the tell tale sign of her being in Cait Sith inside the game ALFheim Online. It wasn't there, neither was her cat-like ears. "Seriously where am I?" She quickly scanned the area surrounding her. ~thedragontamer-ofsao-rp

Eugeo was traveling from Rulid Village like he usually did every morning to the Gigas Cedar tree, but today was different. After several hours of chopping at the Gigas Cedar tree, Eugeo sat down for a quick break. As he was relaxing, he heard a somewhat faint voice. For someone to be way out here was he was, it was rather unusual. Curious, Eugeo gets up and looks all around for the source of the voice. It doesn’t take long before a brown haired girl to come into view."Hello!" yells Eugeo and waves at the girl.

"You still doing ok? We are almost there" said Eugeo. For a small girl, she sure seemed to be brave to be by herself now that Eugeo thought about it now.

Silica smiled and nodded. “I’m fine” she replied. “Eugeo, how old are you?” She asked suddenly, wondering how much older this independent boy was from her.

"Well Silica, I am only 16 years old. How come you ask?" Eugeo was quite surprised she would ask him such a question. No one ever asked him about his age due to everyone in the town knowing him.

Shocking…

     Not many people use their real life names in video games. Besides Eugeo, the only other person she knows who uses their real name is Asuna. But Leafa wasn’t the one to judge. 

“ I see, “ the blonde responds simply. ” I have a friend that uses their real name in here, too… ”

     After stating her response, her cheeks became hot & grew red from slight embarrassment. Quickly shaking her head at the young male, she clapped her hands together as a small chuckle passes through her lips.

" —— Ah, no. You weren’t late at all, Eugeo-san, and you don’t need to owe me anything, really! I just didn’t have much to do back at home or in here, so I logged in early and arrived here. Besides, you didn’t take long, so it’s cool… “

Letting out a short sigh, the fairy’s silly act & expression soon wore off. She listened to him speak about switching races. The more he went on about it, the more she became intrigued by this topic.

" — & no need to be sorry, by the way. That’s actually pretty amazing! Being able to possess two different races’ abilities like that… I had no idea you could keep your previous magic & mix it up with your current one. Well, that explains a lot— the different colors your avatar has… Actually, I was beginning to wonder something about your avatar since it seemed odd, but you made it all clear. I gotta say though, you never fail to impress. ”

“ So, Eugeo-san, how’s it like playing as a Sylph? Pretty awesome, huh? " 

     She was joking with him, of course.

Eugeo tilts his head, confused and wondering why she suddenly became so embarrassed. Was it something that made her remember something from what he had said?

After he finished and listened to Leafa's response, it was his turn to be shocked.

"Well, I felt an explanation was in order since you were quick to catch on. Just like you overheard me talking about mastering my sword skill. Once you see what I am going to show you, it will become clear for the changes I did. Its something that very few people know about if they are lucky enough to discover it. Not sure if it is a glitch in the system or just part of the game but trust me you will be impressed by it."  Eugeo crossed his arms but then Leafa asked him another question.

The question caught him off guard! "Well, it has its ups and downs at least. Being able to use wind spells and having green wings is nice and all, but I did like having blue wings though...hehe?" Eugeo felt he was put on the spot and he hesitated with his question. He laughs soon after but Leafa was really kind to him. If there was one thing Eugeo had learned, its being with friendly and kind people. At this point, Eugeo considered Leafa a friend.

Eugeo leads Silica past a moss covered stone bridge, and the two enter Rulid Village. "We have to see Selka first. Since you are lost and need a place, she is the person to see first. She is an apprentice Sister at the church that is tasked to look out for young kids. Once we meet her, then we can get lunch since she is the one that brings me lunch."

"Um okay." Silica said, "you lead the way!" Silica took off skipping after Eugeo. She had no idea where she was going or why she was here or how she got here. But she trusted that Eugeo would help her get used to this weird world.

Eugeo looks back to make sure Silica was still behind him. "You still doing ok? We are almost there" said Eugeo. For a small girl, she sure seemed to be brave to be by herself now that Eugeo thought about it now.

"Eto….I am sorry!" A young red haired girl said as she was just looking around. "I was just seeing this place and wondering where I am. It all looks…odd and different." She said to the boy. She wondered if she was even safe, seeing she couldn’t see her brother anywhere.

Eugeo was rather shocked to see a young red haired girl. How did she get into the training grounds without anyone seeing her? "Well, your currently in the training grounds of the Academy for starters." said Eugeo as he puts away the equipment he was using. "Did you get lost and stumble into here?" asked Eugeo. "My name is Eugeo, I am a Swordman in training here. Well, I am currently a valet but anyways, you are safe for sure."

"Alright, finished my training for the day." Eugeo had spent the majority of the time in the training area with equipment used for training purposes. It was time for a break, he was exhausted, spending so much time improving his sword skill. Suddenly, something caught his eye and attention. "Hello? Who is there?"

"I am actually hungry." She looked up at her life bar, "this must be kinda similar to the HP bar in SAO, if it reaches zero we die in-game and in real life. You didn’t hear about the SAO incident of 2022? It was all over the news." Silica followed Eugeo to go get food.

          Cue the { Sylph’s } twitching ears as she heard a male’s voice come from behind. His voice was familiar & he knew her real name— obviously, it was easy to point out who this guy is. Turning her body partially to get a slight glimpse at his avatar.

                    “ Eh… ?

       —— Oh, Eugeo-san!

You’re here pretty early. “

     The blonde commented as she shot a genuine smiles towards him. Afterwards, she turned towards the male all the way, scanning the visage of his avatar. He appeared a lot similar compared to how he looks like in person, in the real world.

     Unlike Eugeo, Suguha’s avatar didn’t have much resemblance compared to herself in real life, besides a couple of things, really.

" By the way, in this game, you can call me Leafa. “

Eugeo let out a sigh of relief when the Sylph said his name. So the Sylph in front of him was indeed Suguha, that much was certain now. Eugeo then returned his own smile but then noticed that Suguha was looking at his avatar. He was glad he took the time to make sure he looked alright at least.

"So your called Leafa here then? I don't mind, but you can still call me Eugeo here. Not very creative, I know but, its my identity that I want to keep no matter where I go." Now it was Eugeo's turn to scan Leafa's avatar. No matter how many times he looked from head to toe, she really did not resemble Suguha to much. Still, the one thing he noticed that was the same was that Leafa was still Suguha, the cheerful girl he meet beforehand. "I must apologize though, I know we are both early but you arrived before I did. That in terms me late so I must make it up to you." Eugeo rubs the back of his head, showing he was embarrassed. "Turns out I was in the Eastern part of the Slyph Neutral Territory when I finished maxing out my sword skill. Believe it or not, I was originally part of the Undine race before the patch where you could reincarnate and change into a different race. Now I am part of the Slyph race now, but I still kept all my previous skills from the Undine. So, I can use both water and wind spells, and it also explains why I look this way now."

Eugeo stands proudly, putting on his hands on his hips and showing off somewhat. "But...one of the reasons I changed races was because I wanted to able to experience what being an Slyph was like. Sorry, I felt the need to explain myself first."

"Soldier? Knight? Uhh i don’t think i’m really technically one of those. Pina’s my dragon.. Rulid Village? Where’s that? It can’t be in ALO, if it was I’d have my armor and my wings anf my ears and tail" Silica took the waterskin from him and took a large swig.

"Ummm. Well my name is Silica, i was in Yggdrasil city with my friends, Kirito, Asuna, Lisbeth,and Klein; we were going to go to "New Aincrad" and fight the 21st floor so that we could get to the 22nd and buy the little cottage buy the lake so that Kirito and Asuna could live in it kinda like they did when we were trapped in SAO"

"Wait, you mean that you have a dragon?" says a shocked Eugeo. The thought of a huge dragon as Pina and this small girl riding the dragon blew up his imagination. The only dragons he knew were big ones were Integrity Knights would ride on. Eugeo quickly shook his head side to side when Silica began to speak again.

"Well, you are currently in a world we call Underworld. I don’t believe I have ever heard of a city called Yggdrasil, nor of SAO. Those places sound like they are from very far away places Silica. What really worries me is that you were with companions and you happened to be separated from them. If you happened to come here to Rulid Village, I can only imagine where your friends went if they happened to be in your situation. Let’s hope for the best and that they are safe for now." Eugeo felt helpless at this point. All the things she was telling him were things not familiar with him. One thing was for sure, he could not leave Silica alone out here, especially she was not in a place she was not familiar with. "Well, not much you can do at the moment until you know more about how you arrived here. Why don’t I take you to Rulid Village for now. It is very easy to get lost out here and I introduce you to several people that can let you stay within the village. It’s lunch time anyways, so it would be a good thing you get something to eat before your Life starts going down." He points Silica’s Life bar and pointed how a tiny bit of her Life had decreased, indicating she was most likely hungry.

Eugeo looks around, confused of where he was. The only things that looked familiar to him was his Life bar, his name, and his clothes like his shirt and pants. Everything else was different from what he was familiar with. "Hello?" shouts Eugeo. The area looks mostly deserted, but his voice left an echo. "Where am I?" wondered Eugeo as he starts moving forward. It was much better than standing on one place.

     How silly of her. The idea of seeing this unique skill of his still kept flowing through her mind; she was always a sucker when it came to things related to skills and combat. Maybe it intrigued her this much is because, besides Kirito, she hasn’t really met anyone else who possess a distinctive ability. So of course this is something she looked forward to, no doubt.

     But that wasn’t the only case as to why she was excited to get to know Eugeo. He seemed, is, a very courteous guy. He also mentioned that he usually played this game with a friend, so she wondered who that friend of his is, too. 

     As her feet kept pacing, she swiftly brought up the menu with her digits. Clicking on the [ MAP ], she scanned her current location and the neutral zone. From her current position, if she chose to walk, it would take her around twenty to thirty minutes. But to shorten the distance greatly, flying is a much easier and suitable type of transportation for her to take only about five minutes.

" It’s almost time. I better get going. ”

     Sparkling emerald wings digitally appeared from behind as they spread out. Pausing herself from walking, she arose herself from the ground and flew towards the planned destination.

     Shortly after, the ( Sylph ) reached the area. She flew downwards and landed, her wings fading afterwards. Emerald optics scanned the area— no one in sight, yet. She stood in place as she awaited for the male player to arrive.

"I underestimated the time, so much for being at the meetup super early." mumbled Eugeo as he rubs his head. The distance Eugeo had to fly extended past his flight limit. If he did not log in as early as he did, his wait time to fly once more would have gone into the time of the meetup, thus making him late. He would still arrive early but such a miscalculation would have been extremely embarrassing to have a girl wait on him. As Eugeo approached the area, he noticed a Sylph already waiting. He stops short and lands outside the zone and decides to walk, rather than just landing right in.If he made the mistake of dropping in on someone else, it would be rather rude. Eugeo double checks all his wear and gear, making sure he wasn't forgetting anything. ALO may be a game, but just like in the real world, he wanted to make a good first impression. As he walked closer to the destination, he notices a Sylph waiting.Suddenly, a  realization had hit him. "Wait...if that is her, that means....!" In Eugeo's mind, a horrifying thought emerged. "I AM LATE!!!" A feeling of sudden dread washes over him but he had to accept that even though he was still early from the meetup time, she arrived before he did and thus....that made him late.

Eugeo carefully approached the Sylph. He remembers that Suguha never mentioned what her character looked like, other than it being a Sylph. He makes a nervous gulp sound before speaking. "Um, excuse me....Suguha, is that you? It's me, Eugeo."

Silica spun quickly at the sound of someone speaking. “Who’re you? Where am i?” Silica asked, looking startled. She sharply surveyed her body, she wore a plain pale pink dress with loose black knee high stockings and black boots. “Where’s my armor? Where’s Pina?”

Eugeo put his hands out and waves them in front of the girl frantically. "Hold on, armor and Pina? Only Soliders and Knights wear armor, by chance are you one of them? Also, what is a Pina?" Eugeo became concerned for the girl. To be out this far and to be asking such questions, could she have come from another town and become lost? If that was the case, Eugeo was prepared to do all he could for the girl. "Sorry, my name is Eugeo. You are currently outside in the fields of Rulid Village. I noticed you seemed almost lost, which is why I came to you. Here, you probably might be thirsty." Eugeo hands the girl a waterskin, assuming that she was most likely thirsty. "Start from the beginning, I might be able to help you."

     Before the young male left, she nodded and waved.

Repeating his name to herself in her mind, she also made her way back to her home.

     Before she would log into [ ALO ], she needed to go through what had to be done so she wouldn’t have to do them later— bathe & prepare her & Kazuto’s snacks. They were very simple things to complete, so they wouldn’t take long.  

     First, she took a quick shower. Afterwards, she prepared a small meal for herself and Kazuto— sandwiches. Since her brother still hasn’t returned, she wrapped his & she left him a note as well:

' It’s not much, sorry. I’ll cook us a real meal tomorrow, okay?Gonna go play ALO with a friend. Be back soon.

     Connecting the device and holding it in her hand, she laid down on her bed. Slipping the AmuSphere over her head, she said,

" Link start! “

     Spawning from her last checkpoint, which was in the Sylph territory, vibrant pixels filled her avatar until she was completely loaded into the game. Due to her arriving her a little early, she decided to savor her time by walking around in the town of Sylvain until it was time to meet up with Eugeo.

As Eugeo arrives at his place, he stops in front of his door. His living place was at an apartment complex but nothing to fancy. Eugeo enters his security number to unlock his door and walks in. He didn't have much but to him, he had what really mattered and that was enough for him. Eugo takes the time to get everything ready, there was no need to rush. Once he was sure everything was prepared, he grabs the loaf of bread and other food he bought at the store on his way back. The meal was just enough to last him for awhile, but as he was eating he has a sudden flashback from earlier. He pauses while he drinks his bottle of water before shaking his head, snapping himself out of the flashback. "Well, time to meet up with Kirigaya Suguha in ALO.

Eugeo puts on his AmuSphere and lays back in his bed. He stares at the ceiling for a few moments before closing his eyes. "Link Start"

Eugeo awakens in an Inn in one of the neutral towns outside Sylph Territory. He left his avatar there so it would be safe while he was logged out, but it seems he forgot to remove his armor. He quickly brings up his menu and removes his armor before getting out of the bed. He checks the upper corner of his vision on the time. He was still very early before the meet up. "Must not keep a lady waiting. I better head to the meet up area." muttered Eugeo.

Once he was prepared, he leaves the town and checks his map. "South of Sylvain in the neutral zone....I am in the eastern part of Sylvain territory. Good thing I logged in early, should still be early if I fly." Eugeo's wings appear slowly before jumps hard off the ground. He backflips and flies towards the meetup point.

  "I’ll just have to see for myself but not right now of course. That may be the case but you always seem to surprise me with something new to counter my attacks." He replied while adjusting his uniform shirt. "That you should."

Taking Kirito's advise, he takes out a container filled with water and sits on the ground. "Say Kirito, I have been wondering for some time now but, you like to wear black quite a lot. How come?" Since Eugeo was relaxing, he thought it would be ok to ask some questions.

No matter what she said, nor what she thought, she knew that Kirito wouldn’t explain why he had known these people and never told her about them. In all fairness, he knew them before he knew Asuna and before he fell in love with her. So, that was in the past now. She had boyfriends that she never explained to Kirito and nor did she want too either.

That was how it was. Why explain yourself to the person you love right now? There is no point. She was happy now, and so was Kirito. It just hurt her because he didn’t tell her, but the past was in the past now.

❝ Your right, Eugeo-san! I treasure Kirito with all my heart…he is such a wonderful boyfriend. He’s such a lovely person inside and out. ❞

And Eugeo was right. She should treasure the time that she had been spending with Kirito, and he was right. No matter what he did or did not say, it didn’t matter. Their worlds were different apart and Kirito was part of her life now; and he loved her. Nobody else. He had told her that plenty of times. She listened to him and smiled gently, knowing that she shouldn’t get herself in to such a state about the past and look towards the future. She announced herself too, seems as he had done it with her. And it was only polite. Even though he knew her name, she wanted to do the same as what he had done for her.

Eugeo smiles and shifts his body against the tree. His words seemed to have cheered up Asuna and removed any doubt she was having up till now. "Well Asuna, I'll make a little oath to you, between friends. Everything mentioned tonight, I won't tell anyone, not Kirito or Alice, and to be kept between us until the day Kirito decides to tell us his reasons. He is bound to learn that we will one day meet and will eventually have to tell us everything at some point. But until day comes, lets not worry about the past. Now if you want to know about my past or questions, I could try to ask only if I get to ask questions as well." He laughs lightly.

Since his status had changed and most of the warning alerts had stopped, he noticed an (!) in his inventory. He motions his menu using the usual swipe and check what caused the alert to appear. The item called <<Divine Stone of Returning Souls>> had appeared. "Asuna, did you receive a revival item from the boss by chance? I failed to notice what we had received for defeating the field boss. Other than gaining a level and a ton of col, I never expected a boss to drop a revival item. They are rare in this world afterall, since the only other method of revival is after your countdown reaches 0, then you lose exp and return to your territory. Strange, I have never seen a revival item before either up till now..."
