It loosely translates to "Where there's a will, there's a way" or "If you can dream it, you can do it." It's literal translation is also "Love Is Power," which, oddly enough, goes hand in hand with what our guest speaker shared with us today. 💁🏽🎓🦋👏🏽#IMMIGRAD "The day is finally here!!! Law school was hard, but it's not something I'd hesitate doing over again, thinking about my mom. My mom, who putting us first, left her life behind in the hopes we'd at least learn English haha, who has pushed us against every odd & refused to accept a pre-determined reality for us. From growing up in poverty in Mexico to growing up undocumented in America, I would have never imaged we'd even get here, particularly with so many things against us. Through getting my citizenship in 2009 & navigating this complex legal system, I've learned many things I hope to use as I begin my legal career. I took something I was made to feel ashamed of & turned it into something positive & empowering. I only hope I can help others do the same. I'm very grateful for everyone who has helped me get here.
