Halo isn't "conservative" or "liberal" Halo is 25 years of writing and art and gamebuilding and thought done by too many people to keep track of all the fingerprints.

Halo is very United States, but you look like an absolute idiot if you think it completely "belongs" to either one of the two loudest American political camps.

You can love Halo without fully agreeing with every idea Halo has ever expressed, and it's actually impossible to "agree" with all of it because the whole body of work contains contradictory viewpoints.

Halo isn't good or evil, Halo is just a media property. Halo is a pile of contract art people were paid to make. "Ownership" of Halo is meaningless and without value and cringe.

It's embarrassing watching people try to "claim" Halo for their "side" because they don't understand how interpretation of art works and that their perspective is not somehow a universal objective fact about it.

Halo happens at all because of an extremely powerful military empire being destroyed due to its own hubris. Halo treats religious extremism as bad in a way that, yes, was definitely originally a post-9/11 shot at islam but also resembles christianity and specifically catholicism. Halo lets men and women do the same work and achieve equal results. Halo shows the UNSC's efforts to suppress and control people through military threat as monstrous. Halo demonstrates that increased tolerance and working together with the aliens post-war is good for everyone. Halo shows refugees from both sides of the war with sympathy. Halo treats atrocities the UNSC commits even though it is on the "defensive" side of the war as atrocities just the same.

Halo also contradicts itself on these types of points in places, but if you tell me Halo "belongs" to ICE-bootlicking conservatives I do not respect you.

Insane showerthought of revisiting John Halo goes to Therapy ideas where it's stitched together POVs of vague ass medicaid BIRP notes, session notes scribbled down, and John POV.

Like:

Behavior: J was alert and on time for session. He presented with a flat affect, answered in one word responses, and appeared uncomfortable with questions about his wellbeing and interests. Session focused on building rapport.

Intervention: Clinician used motivational interviewing and reflective listening to engage with J about his routine, work life balance, and treatment plan goals. Discharge planning was discussed. Clinician explained confidentiality for sessions.

Response: J responded with short curt answers or asked for clarification. He maintained a stiff posture and neutral face for most of session, sometimes frowning when confused. He stated he wanted to get back to work three times.

Plan: Clinician will follow up with J on mindfulness and DBT distress tolerance interventions.
