"...and Manousos, who's struggling in the middle of the jungle—he doesn't have anything, and yet he has a purpose...[T]alking about the contrast between Carol's and Manousos's situations and how they are...I just started thinking, 'This show has so many layers that you can read into.' This, for me, was like a commentary on how we've been taught that happiness is in things that we get outside yourself. Like happiness is exogenous, where I think it's endogenous. And this guy has something in himself—a purpose that he has—and that fills his life, that pulls him through the jungle, through the chunga, through the whole thing..." — Carlos-Manuel Vesga on Manousos's epic journey in Pluribus 1.07

Check it out! The demo for “The Working Dead” from the episode of Steven Universe “Sadie Killer”.
Anyone who knows me, knows that I love ska. And Rebecca Sugar knows me, and when she said she wanted Sadie’s band to play some spooky ska I was PUMPED! I came up with the idea for the chorus while riding my bike to work, Jeff Liu jammed out some spooky chords and helped put it to music, and Rebecca turned it into a proletariat dirge.
